I am on the zone. I am eating about 11 or 12 blocks of protein with carbs thrown in sparingly. Not quite so sparingly... I have a protein shake or eggs for breakfast, lunch is eggs or stuffed bell pepper with taco meat and peppers only (no rice). Snack - cheese stick or vanilla low-fat yogurt. Dinner - sloppy joes on corn tortilla or lettuce, stuffed bell peppers, tacos... Desert - skinny cow ice cream, yogurt, fat free - sugar free pudding. Also plenty of water... at least half gallon a day (that is 64 oz). The more water the better, keeps your system moving. For cheats I add peanut-butter to apples or have a few low-fat pretzles or a medium serving of popcorn. (1/3 bag) My bridesmaid lost 40 pounds in 3 months doing this. She went from an 18 or 20 to a 10. It is awesome. |

Time for weekly weigh-ins I see. This week I lost 6 pounds and am now under my goal weight. Start - 140 Goal - 132 Last week - 137 Current - 131 Can't believe I lost 6 pounds in a week.I am also journaling everyday so I can reinforce what works and doesn't work. I am doing much better with portion control... even had half a skinny cow last night and was satisfied. I don't feel the need to go back for more, just the desire. Waiting 20 minutes between snacking really helps me. I also drink at least one gallon of water a day. I am feeling great!!! Hope you all kicked butt this last week. Have a wonderful day! |

Thanks for the info. I am also very goal oriented so I need to keep one in mind. I was even thinking of a "reward" system for maintaining. You know each month I am within 2 or 3 pounds of my goal weight doing something special for myself. I do try to exercise at least 30 min a day, but have been off that with the hectic schedule. I'll be able to resume on the 1st... can't wait. I want to look rockin' for the wedding! Thanks again... have a happy day! |

I have been having such a hard time controlling myself when it comes to food again. My problem has always been portion contol... for me it is much easier to not have any sweets for months than to have them in moderation. Why is that I don't know. So I have gained so much weight this week. It seems everyday I say ok - this is what I will do, but doesn't happen. I have recommited to it so often that I don't know what to do anymore. The bottom line - I have gained 4 pounds!!! No matter how much I tell myself it is "water weight" the pooch in my belly says something different. My goal by next week is to have lost between 2 & 5 pounds. Wish me luck y'all. I am just going to have to stop eating sweets all together again. That is what seems to work for me. Hope you all did better than me! SW - 140 GW - 132 CW - 137 Last weeks weight: 133 Ughh - Why do I sabotage myself?!?!?

| Weight Loss | Im thinking of starting diet pills.. | Jun 06 2008 17:47 (UTC) |

I tried Hydroxycut, but then decided to ditch them for a new diet and it has made all the difference. I am on the Zone and lost 7 pounds in 4 days! I was frusterated like you after hitting my plateau. It seemed I would gain and loose... You may want to try this. The first two days I was hungry and exhausted, but now feel wonderful (it has only been 5 days). Today I am adding carbs back into my diet. Send me a message and I will let you know exactly what I am doing. Since I am not very big to begin with (140 and 5-9 when I started it) I was skeptical about it working. Sorry sister about not being able to loose. I have been there too... good luck!!! |

Oh My Goodness!!! I am so freaking stoked. I lost so much weight this week that I almost reached my goal!! Week started: 140 Current weiht: 133 Lost 7 pounds!!! I am so freaking excited... this new diet is totally paying off. I don't have much more to go. I was going to finish at 132 but now am thinking I will go lower so it will not be such a big deal if I end up gaining a pound or two before the big day! |

I am only on day 2 of my cycle and have been on a new diet for 3 days now. So far I have lost 4 pounds since Monday. I am absolutely stoked!!! Not sure if it is the TOM thing or the diet, but either way I will enjoy it and be proud of it. Can't wait to see how much I have lost by Friday for the weekly 10lbs by July group. |

I was single by the time I realized I was pregnant so not working was never an option. People will try their hardest to make you feel like crap for it, but don’t worry… your children will understand. I love that my 4 year old sees both her dad (I am engaged to a man who she calls daddy) and I work. She knows things go both ways and us modern women can do it all. I am even going to school for my BS in Accounting. Though I do miss out on certain things I feel it is important for her to see me work hard for what I want in life. Even at 4 she understands the value of money (at least as much as she can) and saves her every penny just about for college. Though she is an adorable kid I emphasize how smart she is each and every time someone mentions her external beauty.
Those types of things you can do. Get your kid in a daycare that has your same values, for me that is Christian so they will mirror what you would be teaching at home. I know I feel 100% confident with the care she has received all of these years, but finding the right childcare fit may be difficult.
Best of luck and be sure you are making the right decision for your family. Don’t worry about the pressure others put on you. |

Gained 3 pounds... hope it was mostly water weight, but I doubt it. I have pretty much sucked at this most of last week. This weekend I stopped the Hydroxycut and today I begin The Zone. My bridesmaid has lost over 35 pounds in 3 months now with this diet so she is going to coach me through it. My wedding dress ships this Friday so I have to be prepared for a fitting by next weekend. jstone0415 - I am glad to report I have been in the 1100 - 1200 range the last few days. I don't always do the 600 thing... pretty much desperate measures. I can't even tell you how much I hope that is not what I am thinking as I walk down that isle. :) I need to get my confidence up. Let me tell you after hearing the word roll come out of my seamstresses mouth I haven't been able to look at myself the same. I think that brough back up a lot of the distorted body image I had in my eating disorder days. I appreciate your feedback. I am hoping to get this done in a healthy way and am starting to have hope that it will come off. Just sucks when I try and the scale doesn't move... :) Have a great night y'all! |

SW for group 141ish... CW - 137ish GW - 132 Having a problem with the scale... do I use my naked weight in the am (136) or afternoon weight with clothes (141)? I have no clue what I weigh and it sucks... how can I measure? Hopefully the scale will be consistently off. :) Great job everyone!!! On a side note: know of any pills that helps get rid of weight, even for a short while? |

Wow, I had no idea that it could actually hurt you. I have noticed having to pee ever hour at least. Cleans out the system... right. I will have to look into Hydroxycut Hardcore, for now I am just taking the regular version. I do hope to see a difference. The weirdest thing - I weighed myself first thing in the morning and it said 137 (this was my nude weight) then I weighed myself in the store and it said 144 (I had to pee super bad not not like 5 pounds worth). After getting home and reliving myself I weighed 139 on my scale with clothes. What the hell is going on. Each time my daughter maintained the same weight... I use her to see if my scale is on track. I have no clue what I actually weigh. How can I even measure this way? Do I stick with my morning nude weight on a bi-weekly basis or what? I hate this!!! Would drinking tons of water throughout the day make you gain that much? I appreciate all of the concern everyone. I promise to watch my body for signs of something going wrong. I know I sound so vane but these last few pounds are dreadful... I really feel pressured to get rid of them. Though I am not a "fat" person the lady at the dress fitting mentioned my roll... what the hell a roll? This is why I felll so badly like I need to loose these last few. Any more information is always helpful so keep the feedback coming. |

Original Post by musicislife488: I don't feel as hungry either. I wonder if it is because I increased my water intake or the pills... maybe both. It has been good to me for 2 days so far. I dusted off the old scale and am going to begin weekly weigh ins. I sure hope this works for us all. I hate to say this, but I am giving up on doing this the "healthy" way. Diet and exercise just aren't cutting it at this point and it is crunch time. The energy is an added bonus - besides working full time, being a mom and planning a wedding I am also going to school. So any extra energy is a huge plus!!! I burned over 1000 calories today. I haven't stopped yet. Cleaning, laundry, rearranging the rooms and taking Ki out to play... got it all done in one day. Oh yeah and studying of course. Let's stay in touch with eachothers progress. I am so excited to drop the pounds and you two gave me hope that it can help. Thanks so much !!! |

Thanks guys... I however do exercise between half an hour and and hour and a half a day. Depends which workout I am doing. The problem is that I have hit that plateau. The scale doesn't move and I am so frusterated! I have almost given up on doing this the natural way. Like I said only a few weeks to go and I am so freaking stuck. Any magic answers out there? I really want to loose 5 pounds and fast. Keeping it off with my current routine shouldn't be a problem - just loosing it. |

Original Post by sugarsweet: Oddly enough I don't even have a scale that works. I go into stores to weigh myself... weird I know. I registered for a cool one on the wedding registry. Let's just hope I get in for the shower so I can have it early. I would love to do Friday mornings though... great idea! |

Original Post by adge1967: Good idea - I pretty much quit that when back in March. The only thing I have now is Coors Light and that is only like 2 a month. Can't wait to be able to really enjoy a beer again. Now I just feel guilt when I have one. |

You should try counseling. A good therapist can get you to see the real you. You deserve to be happy and feel good about yourself. I have struggled with poor self image for most of my life and really watch what I say and do in front of my daughter because I don't want to put my negative thoughts on her. I recommend you get some help and realize how destructive these thoughts are. You owe it to yourself. Again - you deserve to be happy! |

My bridesmaid is on that diet and has lost 30 pounds in 3 months. She loves it!!! Her whole family is eating it with her and have lost a ton of weight. I think her husband has lost over 40 pounds, and her daughter has lost quite a few inches as well. They love it so I am thinking it may be great for some people. I have thought about trying it, but think I would have a hard time sticking to it. Counting cals works for me because it doesn't change the way my famiy has to eat and I refuse to cook two meals a night. So not going to happen! Good luck - I hope it works wonders for you. |

I am so glad there are other out there going through this as well. I have just had to have a medical procedure done two weeks ago and have been having a difficult time ever since. I gave up sweets last September, but in my days in bed I found myself with my comfort foods. Something I have not allowed myself to do for quite some time. After three days of binging I hated my body all over again, even more than before starting my new way of eating. I have just the other day come to get back on the horse and give it my all again. My main concern is how can I keep myself sane the next time I get this procedure done. I will need it every three months and the next one is a few weeks before the wedding. I can't afford to gain any weight! After these minor surgeries I am confined to bed and in so much pain I can't even think straight for three whole days. Any suggestions on how I can curve this emotional need to eat at such a miserable time? |
