my calorie intake is 2875 calories a day according to the intake questions, I eat 2200 to 3000 calories a day, it's a lot of food, I also burn a lot of calories and my burn meter by the end of the day is anywhere 4300 to 4800. So thats how i figured the deficit 1000 to 1500 calories. I would love to eat only 2000 calories a day. I don't think that would be depriving myself too much. thats why i am interested in the appetite surpressants. |

Yes I think there is a lot of us out there. I have been using this site for a month and slowly but surely the scale is starting to show positive signs, lost 14 lbs so far. I still have 85-100 more to lose. Good luck and keep me updated with your progress. |

If it were me I don't think I would want to eat and then go right to sleep. If you want to "reboost" your morning workout, why not eat something light before the gym- cup of fruit or granola bar , yogurt or what ever. let me know what you decide and how it worked out for you |

i have done the atkins diet many times, ketosis is a state your body gets in when you deprive the body of glucose(sugar, starches)/ you consume protein and eventually your body will enter ketosis -takes about two days less if your real active and eat less than 20 grams of carbs a day(for first two weeks) i reccomend if you are serious about trying the atkins diet you get some keto strips at walgreens, it's a test that will tell if your in ketosis, it's kind of fun to make sure your always staying in ketosis. ketosis is when your body(starved of carbs)_ starts to use the bodies fat supplies as fuel. fat breaks down into triglyerides and that was is used as fuel so when you start burning the bodies fat you will be excreting ketons. atkins is fun for a while you can eat all the protein you want but nooooooooooooooooooooooooo carbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'ts also kind expensive-eating lots of steak and chicken, cheese all day etc.I could always drop weight quickly 20 plus lbs especially when you hit week two of ketosis I started shedding the weight you eventually get to the point of craving carbs, popcorn, brean, rice etc. good luck message me back if you have any questions, I have just found this sight and have been entering all my food in and watching my calories. this site is really cool.so far I have lost 10 plus lbs
