Im at 149.0 today.
Ive not been working out too hard (actually haven't since I ran three miles on... holy crap that was sunday)... or drinking enough water because of the show, it's just hard to work stuff in, and we're not allowed water in the catwalks cos of electricity stuff.
I will SO be trying harder once again starting Monday :) |

Weigh in this morning at 149. 0 from 151 last week, and starting to see and feel a difference. I really think the water thing helps alot, although cos my dorm is so dry Im always thirsty. Well see how exercise goes the next week and a half, Im a spotlight op for a play called "Working" and that involves a lot of standing since there's no chair that I can sit in while my light is on, which is alot.... but not much actual exercising and Illl be there 6-10 every night. So... we'll see. Ill definitely try to eat just a little less this week.
Im excited for everyone who's doing well and or having a Birthday!!!!! :)
Have a fun trip to Chicago... Its a cool town :) |

Good job you guys! Especially for being able to go to a great restaurant like Red Lobster and stay within your limit. I have a hard time in my cafeteria, let alone a place where ever option is wonderful. :) I mean... if I went to Outback right now (Im not a seafood person but I figure this is equivalent....) Id probably eat my entire daily calories there... :/ Hahaha I applaud :)
Yay for exercise bikes!
I danced today, it was a good thing. Nothing like the master class, sadly. But not many things compare to being taught by a very famous choreographer... I suppose.
Abs and butts last night went well.
Any ideas of a cardio DVD I could do in a 3 ft sqaure space? thats about the area I have in my dorm room where I can see my tv... Plus I just dont know what cardio DVDS are good...

So I dont break the challenge I will be doing abs and butts tonight, although my master class yesterday has left me feeling... sore sore sore. Especially since I never fully recovered from total body conditioning.
Ive decided that running is a bad idea till I get new gym shoes that are less shin-splint prone. I need to find some other cardio to do- any ideas? Im thinking dancing on my own when the studio is empty.... but Im not sure when that is...
Today went badly :/ I allowed my popcorn craving to take over after Id eaten enough already. Oh well. Tommorrow= better day. And I drank tons of water :) |

Im with you guys- only its running or dancing every day- I dance on Tuesdays and Thursdays... and then should run all the other ones. except MAYBE Friday. |

Well yesterday was not so good... everyoen kept feeding me because I had various family here visiting at different times of the day. But Ive been so good about exercise that it ended up being ok. Its probably a lot easier to do this without my family around trying to feed me all the time (has anyone ever noticed how theres really nothing to do but go hang out in a restaurant? its annoying) So I had soup and salad at chilis and an appetizer combo at Applebees. But I did drink rasberry tea and water only. No pop! :) Today will be easier, as I have brunch here at school and then a dance class, a short time to have a quick dinner, and another performance of my dance concert. Wish me luck! |

So far so good :) I ran the same distance (1.5 miles) as I ran on Monday again yesterday, and it was a little easier. I also went the opposite direction, as the uphills are a little longer and less steep than going the way I did the first time. It helped. Same route though :) Ive also danced twice (ahh rehearsals) and my friend has promised to drag me to total body conditioning (aka total butt kicking) every week- even using the smallest weights I know Im going to be the good kind of hit-by-a-truck sore in the morning :) I think Fridays will be a rest day :)
I have my dance show this weekend so Ill be doing a lot of dancing- plus theres a saturday cycling class and Sunday Im taking a master class from Jazz dance master Joel Hall (exiciting!) So I wont have to run again this week (In my opinion, the less running and the more dancing the better )
As far as food goes Im doing well! I went a TINY bit over yesterday, but thats ok cos Im a tiny bit under today and I exercized.... alot.... today. In a "I feel wonderful" sort of way.
I did decide, that as my nutrition grade is at a pretty solid b+ every day so far that Im not going to worry so much as what I eat, as the only choices I have are what my cafeteria at school serves (OHHHHH Sodexho that we call SAGA- if I ever say that I mean food place lol) So if I dont like the option of the day i have... pasta... as a choice or a salad but I just cant eat salad for every meal. So I have to just do my best with what I have :)
But Im doing good.

Even if salad dressing is high calorie- and your eating one for lunch... so technically do you have to worry about it... i mean a packte of salda dressing is 220 calories, and with even a 7 ounce salad... thats only 300 calories... for lunch. I think thats pretty good. So if the salad is too boring, do add some dressing.... Im kind of the same way... I love salad, but Ill admit I use too much dressing....

I think Im going with you on the not worrying about the salty thing. I like salty foods too much to not eat them. The same with pasta- oh the joys of having an Italian grandmother who lives with you. But Im not going to worry about that till I go home for the summer.

How much sodium are you supposed to get? I know I eat way too much. All of my favorite foods are salty... I barely have a sweet tooth at all, unless it's something fruity- cherry pie or jello. So.... I need suggestions on how to cut that.
Although Im assuming if I stick with the calorie count I should be ok. |

I know how you feel! I hate running, but one summer I got dragged to cross country camp with my little bro every day. At first I had to walk the last 1.5 of their smallest route- the 2.5 mile (gulp) and then I learned to pace myself, and got to three and then (woah!) 4 mile point. Then I quit (yeah... dumb I know) Now I just went out for the first time in a long time and managed to run about a mile and walk about a 1/2 mile total at random points when I got tired. Gotta keep working!

I'm proud that Im here at all! I was on a "who cares if I gain the freshman 15 "(it's really only been like... 7... but w/e) kick for a while and now I realize that is silly. I want to look good in a bathing suit this summer! So Im proud i decided to change things
Im proud that Im asking people to help me be accountable and encourage me!
Im proud that yesterday I went running for the first time since the fall!
Im proud that I plan on going again right after dinner tomorrow! (and no, running after eating doesnt make me ill... for some odd reason)
And Ill add one thing Im hopeful for :
Im hopeful that the information i was given about how much I should eat to lose weight is right, because right now its not too terrible and i think I can stick with it... if I spend half as much time on this website as I do on Facebook, I should! |

I am in! I'm having a breast reduction surgery on June 6th, and to weigh 143 pounds instead of 153 (or even a little less by then, if I do this groups goal) would be amazing! (I'm 5'5")
Im brand new and just started yesterday and really really need encouragement- especially since this is really hard to do at college.
But 1800 cals a day isn't too terrible so far. I go to bed a little hungry, but thats healthy from what I hear.

No one has written in a while... but Im brand new and want to tell someone my goals since i tried to tell my friends and they insist im the same weight i was in high school, when I gained 5 pounds my jr/sr year, and and about 10 since college started :/
