So, lets get off our butts an make some weight loss happen!  If Bob or Jillian saw our last weeks scores they would be PISSED! Remember our mantra...

WE HAVE THE HEART TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN! Lets go team 1! Time to get motivated!

Alright!  I am back and working with Jillian's new video.

Current weight this week:  237!

Yeah... moving in the right direction now and it's about time given that I have used up my two weeks of not weighing in.  Yikes!

I was close enough to the earthquake that it woke me up this morning. Our bed was shaking, the windows were rattling, it was soooo freaky. I'm from the St. Louis area, so I've never felt an earthquake, nor would I have ever even dreamed that it would happen here (I just didn't think about the New Madrid Fault, ya know???)

Anyway, then when the aftershock came like 6 hours later, where was I? ON THE TOILET. Hahaha! I thought I was imagining things (paranoia?) But when I came back to my desk everyone was talking about it.

Vegan!  You are a scream!  I happened to be in the Chicago area Thursday night and most of the day Friday and the Wisconsin Dells the rest of the weekend.  I didn't know earthquake was happening although others told me they felt it.

In the mean time, I was SO BAD for my little trip out of town.  I will probably skip weigh in this week rather than have numbers go up.

I really didn't know I could do so much damage in such a short time.

Nevertheless, Yeah Lacy!  And everyone else that lost last week.  Remember less than 24 hours til weigh in.

We have the heart to make this happen!  Cool

Wow!  It looks like our group is kicking it into high gear.  Go team 1!  And I would like to thank you all for your words of encouragement.

Now for some really rotten news....   I was soooo busy yesterday that I couldn't watch Biggest Loser and my TIVO did not record it as it was supposed to.  What a disappointment today!

Lo and behold NBC is not showing the video on their website.  How cruel is that?

But life goes on.  Yeah Ali and Bernie!  What a ride and who would have thought?

We have the heart to make this happen!  Cool

Week 2 Loss - 3
Total Loss - 4

Ok guys....  I am pretty much bummed this morning.   I was at this weight a couple of days ago.  I expected to pull a bigger number; especially since this was my first "real" week of working hard towards weight loss and I exercised for over ten hours this week.

Did I mention that I don't look any different????

I want it now! is a song that comes to mind.

Seriously though, the first week is usually the big week.  So what is going to happen next?  Am I stuck with little 1 and 2 pound losses because of my age?  Yikes.

Anyway, sorry for ranting and raving.  I was just caught by surprise.

All that aside, I would like to welcome the new folks too!

I have a very full schedule today.  So I probably won't get a chance to check in (let alone exercise) anytime soon.

But I wish everyone well and remember; we have the heart to make this happen! Cool

Good morning ladies!

Awesome news from ccrainmaker!  You go girl!

Hehehe  Yes very exciting weighing ourselves and watching the numbers go down.

Have you heard the news?  In the Comcast fan videos, they are showing a college student who lost 120 pounds in 11 months through diet and exercise.  What a change in such a fast amount of time...

We have the heart to make this happen!

lorenzia-  That is rotten about the internet being blocked where you are at.  What does NBC accomplish by doing that?  Or whomever is responsible...  I look forward to your very early morning posts (from the American point of view).

resabg-  I thought you were analyzing the situation and you go girl!  Takes alot of extra work and emotional energy to take the baby on two hours worth of errands.  You rock!

vegan-  I have read that women in relationships tend to gain weight because they start fixing more meals and then end up eating similar to their husbands and/ or boyfriends who actually need the extra calories.  Did the weight creep up on you when he moved in?   Just something to consider (if you haven't already).

Conversely, if he shows you how to train with weights/Bowflex/ then that could work out very good for your team!  Wink

Remember gang...This is the time to finally get our weights where we want to be and create the lives we want.  Let's go for it.

We have the heart to make this happen!

I know why we are last cuz it says that 6 people in our team missed weigh in so that is bound to give us a disadvantage when all of team 3 weighed in and only 2 of team 2's members missed weigh in!

Well, either these people are going to get on board with the program or be kicked off in 3 weeks.

If they are kicked off that leaves us with the reality of how we that are trying are actually doing.

It looks like the other teams were putting in bigger pound losses compared to us that posted.  So, we are going to have to step it up or be left in the dust....

Congratualations to our own Biggest Losers this week.  Cool

I'm feeling very motivated today: I'm in the zone! How's everyone doing?

I'm sooo jealous that all you guys can watch the american biggest loser, I love it but we don't get it over here! Frown

lorenzina-  Are you aware that the American Biggest Loser episodes can be watched on the internet at NBC.com?  Or are they somehow not available in Australia?

Glad you are in the zone.  Keep up the great work! Laughing

I just want to drop a quick statistic.

Team 1 - 14 of 15 starting weights posted - Total weight 2809.20lbs
Team 2 - 13 of 15 starting weights posted - Total weight 2893.65lbs
Team 3 - 14 of 15 starting weights posted - Total weight 2882.10lbs

When I made the teams about half of the people posted their SWs, I sorted them by highest to lowest and put #1 on 1, #2  on 2, #3 on 3, #4 on 1, #5 on 2, #6 on 3, etc.  Mathematically Team 1 is infact the lightest team, but only by about 1/3 of a member.

jeremy-  Thanks for posting and explaining the methology.  It is quite amazing how close the team weights are given that you randomly assigned half of them.  The first part of assigning by weight was pure genius and likely influenced the very even result at the end.

Thank you too for the work you have and will be putting into this.  Cool

And I agree about TBL, I love Roger too, but... Awww hell I love them all!!! I want one of the girls to win, and.. I really have a feeling that as long as Mark makes it into the finals, Kelly just might have a shot. She was the biggest girl on there this season, and even though she comes in last place in every challenge, she still busts her butt and doesn't give up. The girl's got heart!!! Ali has done such an amazing job, but I typically go for the underdog, soo... Anyway, I'm so inspired. And I can't wait for next season to start, LOL!!!

So true.   Each of the top four are inspirational and have worked hard to get where they got.  It is unbelievable what they accomplished in 15 weeks.  Let me think on that as I head for the Nordic Track...

resabg-  I agree.  Our team does seem to be somewhat the lightweights (comparitively speaking).  However, as you have suggested - we can do this!

Going now to complete my 100 minutes of exercise for the day.

"We have the heart to make this happen!!"    (This should be our mantra)

All I wanted to do after work yesterday was eat and curl up on the couch and watch the Biggest Loser! By the way, did anyone vote?? I can't bring myself to vote, I love both of them so much and can't decide who I would want to be able to go to the finals!! I hope one of the girls wins this time though. I think Ali is gonna do it for sure!

How long do we have to vote?  I think I am going to vote for Mark so that Ali has a chance of winning.

I need some motivation!
You guys is what I need right now, I didn't do as much as I wanted this weekend, and it is affecting me.
I need to get myself in gear and focused.

You can do this!  Your team is counting on you.

I am committed to exercising 100 minutes every day (at least for this week)!  I love watching Biggest Loser and watch reruns for inspiration as I use the Nordic Track.  If they can do it (huge numbers weekly) then I should be able to so something on a smaller scale so long as I work on it.

Can you make a commitment to follow through this week with the goals you have set?  ONLY IF you want to....    But accountability can be motivating~
