xaetherx - I'm exactly the same.  I get down to 160, everyone says how good I look and I let myself slip.  I'm not back up at 175 :(

Well girls - I let it go (again) and am back up to 175.  WTF!  I have 3 weeks until I go back to vancouver and need to lose at least 6lbs before then.  I must be in the 60's lol.

How is everyone else??

Back from holidays with a tan and 5lbs!  hahaha.  SCREW IT!  I mean how can you go to Italy and not put on weight?

Well thats not fair to say, we actually did really good going for long hikes and eating well, its the four days off when we got home and we were lazy (no groceries in the house).

So I'm back and need to get motivated ............again.  UGH!

Well I'm off on my trip tomorrow at 5am, and I weighed in at 163.5 today.  So mad that I just sat at this level for the last 3 weeks. Oh well.

I was 164 this morning, blame it on a naughty dinner last night.  I am proud to say that I bot new running shoes last night and did a 3 mile run before work today.  aaahhh forgot how much I liked it.

I have 2 weeks until my trip to Sardinia.  I have my sons 4th Bday party on Sunday - so after that I am SERIOUSLY going to buckle down and get some hard runs and good eating in.

I do like ceasars, but they have to be made with Clamato juice.   Oh and on a hot hot hot day a reeeally cold gin and tonic goes down good.

I like it in the salad - I just don't know anywhere else that you can get something like that.  And I love mixing it all up in the bowl with the guac and yum yum yum.

I thought I would update you all on my dinner.

As soon as it came.............. and I smelt the food................ I said SCREW IT and ate everything I wasn't supposed to. 

 

Oh well  - these things happen - and now I know not to allow Indian in my house.  hahaha.  I was fairly good and only had a 'taste' of the bad stuff...

Hey guys.

Well I'm up 2lbs in 10 days.  Not bad for all the eating and drinking I did while my friend was here.  I have 19 days until I go to Sardinia witih the husband and would love to be 159.  I was 164.5 today.  5lbs in 3 weeks shouldn't be too hard......... right ;)

I think I will just have a 1 bite taste of everything everyone else orders.  I don't want to deprive myself but don't want to go overboard.

Its takeaway from a very lovely restaurant in my town (not overly bad for you food, they make good stuff).

Walk around the grocery store - go in a U shape - if you stay out of the middle aisles you will have the fresh good stuff.  Its when you go down the cookie/cracker/frozen food aisles you get stuck.

Start in Veggies/Fruit - move into Dairy - then into Protein and breads. 

And get a few essentials out of the middle aisles.

Hey kids.

Well my girlfriend is here from San Fran - I'm still at 162.4 so thats good - altho I think we are going to nip over to Paris for a night at the end of the week (I'm not liking my chances surrounded by all that lovely food!)  Good thing I weigh in before I go hehe.

Er... not much new going on.  Lots of walking around London with her as I show her the sights.

I will get back running next week as I don't want to reinjure it this week.  Think I need to invest in new shoes!

Crab Quiche Recipe

(4 servings)

Crust:

1/2 Recipe plain pastry or 1 Layer pie crust mix for 9" pie pan

Filling:

7 1/2 oz Fresh lump crabmeat (shells and cartilage removed)
3 oz Swiss cheese (grated)
4 Eggs
2 c Table cream
1/3 c Onion (minced)
1 ts Salt
1/4 ts Cayenne pepper
1 tb Fresh parsley (chopped)

Goes well with dry white wine.

Preheat oven to 425°FF.

Crust: Prepare pie crust as directed. Place pastry on the bottom and sides of a 9" pie pan.

Filling: Over the dough, sprinkle all of crabmeat, then all of cheese. In a bowl, beat eggs, cream, onion, salt, and cayenne until blended. Pour mixture over crabmeat and cheese. Sprinkle with parsley. Place pan on a cookie sheet and set on middle rack in oven. Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 300°F. Bake 30 minutes more or until knife, when inserted, comes out clean. Remove quiche from oven and let cool 10 minutes. Cut and serve warm. Yields 6 slices.

I haven't read the other posts - so I apologize if I am repeating.

I would go see your parents and your siblings.  Sit them down and explain to them that you are in the process of getting divorced.  You would appreciate their help in being understanding that spending time with your exwife right now is uncomfortable and you are trying to do this the best way YOU can.  Ask them for their understanding that this is something you have to do (for a while) until the feelings have settled.

I am so sorry they did this.  Its really very unfair to you.  I would be really upset and would have told them how I felt (my family).

Perhaps also have a civil chat with your ex, explain that you in no way want to cut her off from your family but could she give it a break and give you some time to breathe on your own instead of showing up at every family event.
