you know what, I am so sorry to do this, but I just can't committ to running this challenge afterall. I am a teacher and starting school again and on top of that my kid is sick. I won't be checking in anymore, although I will still be eating healthy. I am sooo sorry to bail and feel terrible about it. Maybe Buggy Hair can run it, she has been extremely diligent and dedicated.

ok, soooo sorry I have not written in so long! My sister's wedding was fabulous and alothough I didnt get to my perfect weight beforehand, I still felt better than I would have 10 lbs heavier!
As soon as i returned from the wedding our cable and internet was down for a week and we waited and waited for time warner to come fix it, and now I am in Florida and my phone wouldn't let me post messages so I had to wait until my husband finally got here to use his computer and post.
All that to say, I wasn;t ignoring you or leaving you, and yes I want to do another challenge which I think we should start NEXt Saturday, August 9. That would be our initial weigh in for the next challenge. I know it has been long between challenges but I won't have internet reliably until next week, as for right now I am at the clubhouse of the condo we are staying at just to write you all!!
Anyways, INITIAL WEIGH IN for Next Wednesday, I will start new thread in a little while and send in through this thread.
Sorry about the weight, but i will DEF need the challenge after this vacation! I have run a couple times while here, but not enough to make up for the calories I am taking in...yikes!! |

Hey everyone~! Sorry it took me so long to post the scores from last week! Wk6 is up and all wk7 is updated so far, if i missed anything PLEASE pm me and let me know. I am running on half a brain. My mother in law was in town and school ended and I am packing for my sister's wedding so I feel like I can't quite concentrate! haha.
Anyways, I am STILL at 190 this week. I think that may be partially because of bloating though because I had a real good week. We will see tomorrow when I get on the scale again!
Thanks to everyone for your continued efforts in losing weight and patience! I would LOVE to run another 8 week challenge but will need to skip this next week because I will be in Ohio for my sister's wedding. BUT, keep checking this board and I will post a link to the new challenge. I don't want to open it up to anyone new, just to those who are consistent and dedicated form this one because, well it is hard to deal with that! I want to know the people in this are sticking to it like I am trying my best to! That is when I get motivated!

haha...i love your enthusiasm buggy hair. I am defintely up for another challenge, although I will need to start it the following Saturday since I will be in Ohio for my sister's wedding and not able to get it started on my parents extremely slow computer.
So, who would be up for another challenge? BuggyHair, we can be weight loss partners if it is just us...but I am thinking some of our other hardcore friends would be down... so lets see the other hands...who's in?

ok, so i am up this week. This is one of the 3 times I have been up instead of down since March, and the wedding is so close. I am sooo sad. I know that I haven't been able to work out, but I have been trying to walk tons. It is only 2 lbs and my mother in law is coming into town to see the baby next week so I am going to take advantage of that and actually work out at the gym instead of at the aprtment everyday to try and burn down those 2 lbs plus some. only 2 weeks left til the wedding and I am determined to be in the low 180's dang it!!!
How is everyone else's week going? Only 2 weeks left of the challenge!! Teresa

I woke up and worked out( a lil modified during cardio so I don't piss off my shins). I wieghed myself beforehand and it wasn't pretty, but I am hoping that with my workout, and drinking tons of water today and walking all over the city like my plans, that most of it will be ater weight and gone by weigh in tomorrow. I hate that I didn't get to work out all week like I wanted because there are only 2, count them two weeks to go and I have to look fabulous for this wedding! My sister def got the skinny genes in our family so I have to work twice as hard to look fantastic! I told her that her wedding gift was me not looking more fabulous than her, so at least I got off the hook a little bit! haha

Awesome job Buggy Hair.
And....DAMN that battery on the scale. Although it wasn't super duper off, I did weigh in again with new battery this morning and weight is 188. Still a 4lb loss this week and I am out of the 190's, but sad that I wasn't lower like I thought. I will be at that 186 mark by next week though! I know it!!
Only 3 more weeks guys!
I have 6 lbs to my goal in the next 3 weeks. How is everyone else doing???

So I stepped on the scale this morning and nearly fell off!!! I knew I had lost some weight because everything is feeling looser and i've been super diligent with working out and eating right. I am also still nursing my son which burns 500 calories daily. But when I got on the scale and lost 5.5 lbs and on top of that burned out of the 190's... I did a little happy dance! Then I reweighed myself about 5 times and decided to get a new battery for my scale before I get my hopes up too much that this is my real weight. It just doesn't seem possible seeing as though I am a pretty consistent 1-2lb loser week to week! Ahhh!!
Anyways, I hope everyone else's weeks are going great too! |

just wanted to share a personal victory. This morning, I woke up at 5:30 and worked out before work! I never do that since i have to leave by 7 for work, but it felt great and now I am super concious of what i eat bc i don't want to blow the calories i worked off! yay for me!!

I erased all of theweigh ins previous to week 4 because it was starting to get crowded. I fyou would like to post your weekly weights from the beginning when you posts your weekly weight, feel free to do so that way everyone can see your progress! Great job to everyone. I think most people lost weight or maintained this week which is awesome. It is all about discipline! There are times I want to eat what my husband with the fabulous metabolism eats, but I know that doesn't work for me. I have been pretty consistent about working out, but this week was tough, and it showed. I only lost 1 lb which I have been losingmoreon the weeks I am extremely diligent about my workouts. I justtry to remember how good it will feel to put on those size 10 pants I have in the closet and it makes me focus and avoid the junk food!
Anyways... I am off to pick up my students and work on the meringue! We have ballroom dancing classes at our school(If you have ever seen Mad Hot Ballroom, that is what we have!! Rent it if you haven't seen it!!) Well, we have a performance tomorrow so I ampsyched to show them off. Now if the little **** would just concentrate!! lol. See you guys later! Have a good day! |

Great job everyone! I see a lot of weight being lost and it is encouraging to see! I am doing great!! I am being super disciplined about working out and even moved the weights I use in my Shred workout from 3 lbs to 6 lbs! I am weighing myself everyday to keep myself in check and if I see the number go up at all I am super anal about what I eat! I would be concerned about myself if I wasn't eating so much throughout the day!! haha... anyways, i removed anyone who hadn't emailed me with their weight and missed another week, because I am serious about people being disciplined because that is when you lose weight. You can't take a week or two off and lose weight...it just doesn't work. So kudos to everyone here for staying disciplined. You WILL lose weight. It may be slow, but it WILL come off so keep at it.
Anyways, here are the Biggest Losers thus far in the challenge. Send them some congrats and encourage the fantastic work they have been doing!! today was another great day. I was a little high on the calorie side(not over though) but I worked out again so thats great. I did do an actual workout yesterday but was on a boat for a teacher professional development and helped with the rigging and lifting the sails and all that stuff which was actually a fantastic workout! I am hoping for a good number tomorrow. I am hoping I can get out of the 190's here soon!
How is everyone doing with the fiber challenge? I have done good but have some righteous gas going on!! When your husband buys you Beano you know it is an issue! hahaha!
Off to grab my crying little guy. Apparently he was not as ready for bed as I thought he was...

So I cheated and weighed myself this morning and I am at 194. That puts me at 20lbs since March 26th and 50lbs down since the baby!! Yay!! I am only 3 lbs away from prepregnancy, and 24 away from my goal! I have been real diligent about my workouts and eating right. I mean, this saturday is only 5 weeks until the wedding so I have to!! stay motivated Sybil. Before you know it you will start dropping weight. Your body maY JUST BE ADJUSTING. (sorry, hit caps...lol). Also, make sure you are eating ENOUGH! I read on the site that if you eat too few calories your body holds onto your fat in case of starvation. I upped my calories at the beginning and that is when my weight started coming off.
Just a suggestion. Obviously everyone is different so don't despair!
I just finished my Shred workout...it gets a little easier each time. I couldn't even do one girly push up when I started, now I am doing about 4 or 5 which still isn't great but much much better. I didn't realize how much you use abs to do push ups!!
Have a GREAt WEEk everyone! I can't wait to see the weigh ins this week! I think their is some serious dedication here so let's make it happen! |

hey guys. We are doing well so far! I eliminated anyone who missed last weeks weigh in and hadn't responded yet for this weeks weigh in! I know, it seems harsh but I don't have time for people who are not going to take this challenge seriously. If you weighed in last week and haven't gotten this weeks weigh in to me, you have until tonight at midnight. I am trying to give those who don't have computer access until Monday the chance to participate but also don't want to extend weigh in forever and have to update every day! My weekend went good. I didnt get to work out but ate pretty well and as of this morning was down to 195 even. I am hoping to be at 194 even this Saturday. I would love lower but am being realistic. How did everyone else's weekend go? Now that it is getting nice out it is easier to get some extra walking in!

Great job everyone so far! I am seeing either huge losses or no loss at all from everyone! I am stuck at 195.5 and the scale doesn't go down, only up. On Tuesday I was 194.5, so I have no clue what is going on. I am so weak when it comes to chocolate. I am trying real hard. I want to be at least in the 180's for this damn wedding!
How has everyone else done this weekend? I had some sushi for dinner and didn't realize it had quite as many calories as it did until after I ate it. Dang it! I thought I made a healthy choice! iggratu...sorry I messed up. To keep myself on track I delete emails after I edit the post and I must have forgotten to save the post after I edited it. I THOUGHT you had done if it that helps at all! lol.
Ok, off to sleep. P.S...anyone else a sex and the city fan? I went to see it last night and wanted to know if anyone else saw it and what they thought... |

great job everyone! Tomorrow is the last day to get in those weights for this week. It will be Mondays usually but because of memorial weekend I am extending it! Remember: 2 weeks missed and you are taken off challenge! We want serious participants only! So gets those weights in!
Congrats on everyone who did well on memorial day! I did great until a picnic at the park. I even brought watermelon to the park to snack on and just saw cookies and pretzels and lost it. Dang. I will have to work out extra tonight! I have been doing great though and am down 2 1/2lbs this week! I hope the momentum keeps up! I have been working so hard, I am sooo mad at myself for todays slip up!! Anyways, what plans does everyone have this week to make a successful loss of weight!!

Hey guys! Get those weights in! I have updated those who have submitted their weekly weights. Also, thanks to Zephyrdame for alphabetizing the list for us! Also, I am waiting until Monday to add any other participants, it is too tedious to do it daily as they roll in. NOTE: The last challenge I was in people missed weigh ins like crazy, so I propose that if you miss 2 consecutive weigh ins that you are removed from the list. I understand a missed week because of vacations or difficulty with internet or something, but more than 2 just shows a lack of commitment, which we just can't have if we are serious about losing this weight!
GREAT JOB everyone with their weight losses so far. It really seems like we have some hardworkers! I can't wait to see the results of this challenge!
