well my husband has a condition called Legg Perthes Disease that has affected him on and off since childhood. If untreated as a child it ends up turning into an arthritic condition into adulthood and requires hip replacements later on in life. His parents had no idea he had it as a child so now he has major joint (mostly his hips) pain/arthritis.
Anyway, something to look into. good luck!! |

There are still here. You have to go to your Home page on here and where you can modify your profile settings. Somewhere it will say "tickers" on the upper left hand corner. Sorry I couldn't be more specific, but that's all I remember from when I did mine. EDIT: go to COMMUNITY, then click PEOPLE. Look right under where your photo is and it says EDIT PAGE. Click that and you'll see it says "get ticker" under your picture. Hope that helps. |

Yeah I think I was the last one to post on the 150's Club and no one else posted since. Pity! And now (cross my fingers) I hope to be out of the 150's here shortly. Next week would be awesome!!!!! I am 5'7", 26, and 151lbs. I started at 160lbs the end of March. So I am averaging about 1lbs loss per week. I have been watching and logging my calories on a daily basis and it's been a real eye opener doing this. I also have been walking 3 days a week. I wish I could run, but I don't have a jogging stroller for my 3 year old..just a regular one which sucks for running. And I don't really wanna fork over 100$+ when he's 3. Seems like I wouldn't get enough use out of it. Anyway....I also have a goal of doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred M-F with weekends off. So far so good. My goal is 135lbs. |

I don't log any exercise unless I have my numbers set to sedentary. But this workout and some mild walking is the only exercise I do on a regular scheduled basis so for me when I set my levels to light activity it already adds in more "activities" per say. So I just leave it be. Unless I do something crazy that really ups the calorie burn for the day. But I think someone said before that you could log it under "circuit training" in the log and that should be good. |

Sorry this post is a bit belated. Here's my stats: For the first weigh in one the 2nd I was still stuck at 153. For the 16th weigh on I made some progress and weighed in at 151. Hopefully I can pull off another week like that!! This weeks goal is to do my workout tape m-f along with walking a few miles at least 3 days. And of course making healthy eating choices. Great job everyone, keep up the great work! |

First let me say that you are in now way, shape or form fat!!! I think you look awesome and have an incredible style about you! I love it! (and am a little jealous because I don't think I could pull it off even though I'd love to) :] I do love your comment about the letterbox though. That was classic. That man must be jealous that his co-worker has such a hot women on his side. Sounds kind of like with females when they are super mean to other girls, usually in my experience it's because they are jealous. So maybe he's just a girl trapped in a buck toothed man's body. LOL!!

Ok..so this may sound silly, but if we are working with a deficit how is it that now that I am working out (cardio and mild strength training) I feel stronger and am? Do the muscles I already have get stronger vs. building new muscle? Because I feel stronger and my muscles are more noticable lately. hmmm...thanks in advance for your opinions. Tracy edit: or maybe I am just one of those "rare" people who can. I can see if being possible as I have always carried around more muscle on my body than most people my size/weight/height even without working out. |

If I had to guess it's because you need to eat more to make up for the cals you burn during exercise. Hard to believe sometimes, but true from what I've heard. |

Cardio included in Level 1 Jumping jacks, butt kicks, jump rope sans the rope. So you shouldn't have any problem in my opinion living on the 3rd floor. Plus they are short bursts of cardio, not a constant 20 minutes of it. |

Calorie count has their own which I find easier as it changes data when you enter any weight changes on CC. Just go to your home page and Edit Profile. There is a place on the top left (i thnk) that says "ticker" or something like that. Then there is no need to copy and paste anything. |

hmmmm a phone call and a card I bought that you can actually plant and it will grow wildflowers. I thought that was pretty cool!! got it at wal mart even. I doubt I will get anything for mother's day. I usually don't. My son is 3, stays home with me right now and my husband conveniently pulls the "you're not my mom" card so..o'well..I'll just enjoy motherhood anyway every other day of the year. That day is no exception! |

I am happy because I get to pick my husband up from the airport tomorrow! Haven't seen him in three weeks. (Story of my life!!!) I am happy because I finally lost my *birthday weight* from a few weeks ago. I am happy because I got a lot done on my house today.

So somehow since I replied here last I gained two pounds in one weekend about two weeks ago. It's taken two weeks to get it back off, but I'm back down to 153.2lbs!! So thrilled with that! I started Jillian Michael's 30 day shred this morning and it was fabulous to say the least. There are two other threads about this dvd and everyone seems to love it so I had to buy it. I thought it was going to be super hard and wasn't sure if I could make it through all of the way, but I did!! The only thing I couldn't do was the "real" pushups so I had to do the girly ones and even at that I can't do a full 30 seconds, but close. But in those 20 minutes I worked my ass off and by the end was really feeling it and sweaty. So my goal is to do that work out for 30 days and see what happens. Better than nothing so here goes. I'll keep posting on my progress and hope to see you all have some great progress in the weeks to come!! |

As for me, I gained a bit over my birthday weekend. About 2 lbs. Not sure if my scale just tricked me with the 153 or what. Either way, it's taken me since then to finally get back to 153 as of today! What a relief, I'll tell you what. Especially since my husband is coming back home from work for a week tomorrow. Although when he has his week off from work it comes at a sh*tty time because within a few days it will be TTOM and I get a double dose of temptations. He always wants to eat out when he comes home and all of that darn sodium and huge portions...sheeshhhh..what's a girl supposed to do?! I am gonna try really hard to stay on track and watch portions, drink plenty of water and make sure I do my 30 day shred every day whether he thinks I look like a fool or not. LOL!!! hmmmm....maybe I'll get up before he does and get my work out in then maybe go for a run before him and Av (my 3 year old) wakes up. Oh that will be a test of my will all in it's own. good luck gals!! |

I got mine in the mail last night. Ordered from eBay. Tried it this morning and loved it!!! Level 1 wasn't incredibly hard for me, but calves were BURNING!! I like that it's not a hip hop type video because for whatever reason I just can't do those unless I have a mirror to see myself in. Otherwise I feel like I'm a jiggling fool and hope no one is watching me. LOL :]!!! My May goal is to do this everyday. 10 days on Level 1, 10 days on level 2, 10 days on level 3. It felt awesome this morning!! And 20 minutes goes by sooo fast! Let's keep updating each other on our progress with this workout. I can't wait until my husband comes home again in June and sees me totally smokin'!!! |

It's Thursday and I currently weigh in at 153.2 (yes I count fractions of pounds because it's some progress right?!! LOL) Anyway, that's almost a pound of weight loss overnight which totally makes me ready to tackle me Jillian Michaels 30 day shred dvd I FINALLY received in the mail last night. I had been hovering at 154 all week so it's great to see some change from that. My husband comes home from work for a week tomorrow and that is usually not so great for my eating not to mention TTOM coming at the same darned time. What bad timing, seriously...enough already!!! :] So needless to say I am going to have to watch myself very carefully to minimize sodium intake and portion control and make sure I have some healthy snacks in my purse since we are out of the house A LOT when he is home!!! Oh and always keep my water with me. I am thinking that maybe that I won't weigh daily after tomorrow for the week. I will just weigh in tomorrow and then the friday after and hopefully see a big change. *hopefully* |

COPPERTOP_4 Ketchup and Mayo mixed for a dip is the only way to eat tater tots where I come from (utah) we call that "Fry Sauce". Go anywhere outside of Utah and people think we're crazy when we ask for it at a burger joint. :] It's even better with a bit of chopped up dill pickles and a smidgen of pickle juice. :] |

Cinnamon Life I'm a sucker for Lucky Charms and Raisin Bran, but they don't like me too much so I have to skip them anymore if anyone wants to be around me without blaming it "on the dog" if ya know what I mean. CW: 154lbs. Not bad. It's stayed consistently that for about a week now. So we'll see how the next few days go. I mowed the lawn today and that counted as my exercise for the day. Excited my lawn is green and flowers didn't get completely pummeled from the near tornado and baseball sized hail on Friday. Goal for this week. W@ter W@ter w@ter!!! With it getting hotter here it's been a bit harder for me to keep my intake up and compensate for that. That and eating more veggies. right now I am really loving some California mix veggies (steamed broc/cauli/carrots) My husband comes home for a week on Friday so I am going to have to try extra hard to keep my eating in check. He likes to eat out often when he gets home so it makes it harder for me to make healthy choices, but I'm learning. Oh and it's TTOM so it's doubley frustrating. Keeping my head held high and I'm gonna keep on keepin' on. T |

Wow, thanks for the words Melkor...seriously!! That's more what I needed. I am not the type that likes things to be "sugar coated" ...hehehe..except my desserts!! :] And I definitely call it a Lifestyle Change, because that's what my goal is, it's just quicker to type diet. LOL! Maybe we should come up with some sort of abbreviation. I totally agree with the Stepford Mom comment. It's just a struggle to find that "me" time. I figured it was water weight, but it helps to have someone back that up. I think I will eventually get some free weights and maybe a weight bench( I know my husband will use that when he's home too :] ) thank you again for the recommendations. I will certainly look into them.

I live in Central Texas and as far as I know there isn't a YMCA around here. It's quite difficult to find things as it seems anything I ACTUALLY WANT to do I can't because it doesn't involve kids. Funny how that works out. Maybe that's cause I NEVER get a break from the little fella. Don't get me wrong, I love him to peices, but this 24/7 thing can really get to me sometimes. (background...my husband works out of state 3 weeks out of the month so he's not much help in that area) I did however purchase the Jillian Michaels "30 day shred" dvd today on eBay. I am stoked to try it. I just hope I can stay focused and make it through it. I don't think I ever had made it through a video..not because I'm out of shape, but because I get frustrated when it doesn't feel like I'm doing it right and I just give up and that's that. This time around I am ready though. So wish me luck!!! One more question though. The 2.5 lbs I've gained over the weekend has me a bit flustered because I have stayed under my maintance level and had a deficit of no more than 1000, but all of a sudden I gained. Surely it's not muscle, all I do is walk lately, plus with the deficity and all.... Could the weight be water weight? It's been a LOT HOTTER and humid the past 4 days and I haven't upped my water intake because of it...should I? Could that be why I've gained? I am confused to say the least.
