PB2 Rules!. Mix with cool whip and it is like PB Pie filling. Mix with cream cheese and its great on bagels. Mix with syrup and it is great for pancakes. Mix with jam/jelly and you have a sandwich. Drop it in your cookie recipe or brownie recipe. Mix it in your rice krispie treat when you drop cereal in. Oh the wonders of PB2. Walden Farms also makes a peanut butter substitute my wife likes but I do not. It is more like spackle for my tastes. |

kashicat: I hope you are right. That is what I am banking on by completely redoing my diet. BUT -- how do you know if it is fat or just loose skin? Mine just seems to hang down. I can gather it in my hands and mold it into shapes. Flap it around. I have decided to give it a couple of months and reassess. Bottom line: do you think that the type of diet you describe will help with loose skin and not just belly fat. I am tempted to just take a photo of my middle and post it for site wide decision if it is fat or skin. |

I search and search and see no answers. I have read recently that after maintaing your weight lose for one year, your skin is going to be as tight as it is ever going to get. People rub differenct oils/lotions, but have not seen those work. I have a six pack, but it is under a bunch of loose skin. I have decided to undergo major diet change that focuses on controlling sugar and sodium. Means focusing on more real food and less 100 calories packs and low fat/fat free snacks full of sugar. getting 40% of calories from protein and using supplements. Basically try to get as ripped as possible and then look into surgery if this last resort works. If you find something that works, please post. |

| Maintaining | It's 10pm, I've only had 1700 cal, I'm supposed to have 2100 cal per day - eat or not? | Apr 17 2008 06:10 (UTC) |

Eat it. the more I play with CC and total calories, the more I realize that the amount of calories you eat is more important than when you eat it. It keeps your body from going to starvation mode. I have read several articles recently confirming this. I know the standard rule is not eating after a certain time, but that has not held true (in my case at least). At the same time, you need to be careful what you eat. A bunch of chips versus yogurt is obviously not going to work. I think cereal will also be good. For example, I just read this on menshealth.com ( i Understand you are not a male): "Eat a combination of carbohydrates and protein 30 minutes before you go to bed. The calories are more likely to stick with you during sleep and reduce protein breakdown in your muscles, says Kalman. Try a cup of raisin bran with a cup of skim milk or a cup of cottage cheese and a small bowl of fruit. Eat again as soon as you wake up. "The more diligent you are, the better results you'll get," says Kalman." mange! |

I found this menu through MSN and Mens Health and am trying the recipes this week. So far so good. I am also at 1 gm of protein per pound if I add protein shake. This is with yogurt and special k protein cereal for breakfast. |

regarding photographing food, has anyone tried nutrax dot com. That is the point of their site, photo your food with camerapone, upload, and log. Seems interesting, but do not feel like investing time.
As for logging buffet, jst ask General Tso. Its his chicken. He should know. |

| Weight Loss | ice cream everyday | Apr 10 2008 03:51 (UTC) |

I eat ice cream everyday. I was able to lose weight doing this and now maintain. I just make sure it is in my budget. The dreyer's double churned is great. I have to let it thaw a bit before eating. I just love it soft. I discovered the Wal Mart brand "Great Value" butter pecan ice cream last week. It is sugar free, but does not have a bunch of sugar alcohol that causes so many stomach problems. It is 90 calories and like 2 g of sugar and 2 g of sugar alcohol. Most important is that it ranks an "A" |

I have used for a little over one week and agree that tagging and pre entering meals are great. If you enter before you, you stick to it and you do not get to the end of the day and say, "no way I didnt think i ate that much." My suggestion for site (I have a bunch but I will stay on topic) is the wish that I could select several tagged items at one time to add to daily log so that I do not have to go back and forth to enter. I bet most people eat the same thing over and over. I eat the same breakfast and lunch. It is dinner that is the adventure. But, it is still over 30 items in my daily food log |

| Foods | When "cheat days" go overboard..... | Apr 05 2008 04:31 (UTC) |

Everyone tells me I do not need to lose more weight so one cheat day per week is how I maintain. Gain 5-8 pounds on Sunday and lose it thoughout the week. I like both kinds of days - binge and healthy. Healthy days are about 1600 calories per day. Some days I think this is healthy and other days think not so much. I just have trouble maintaining any other way. I can out eat any of you. Dont believe me - meet me at any buffet. |

Posted recipe I follow: http://caloriecount.about.com/recipe/101823.h tml I have tried some variations like adding sugar free davinci peanut butter syrup and pb2. PB2 works. Syrup nomas no. Syrup keeps them from staying crunchy. Forgot to put in the recipe to stir in some vanilla and cinnamon while butter is melting. |

| Weight Loss | 30 pounds lighter, but still need help!!! | Apr 01 2008 16:54 (UTC) |

6'3 36 years old. I have weighed as much as 360 and as low as 180. Currently hover about 190. Chest and belly are still there, just smaller. It is just disgusting to me that I have this flab there. I weigh less than a lot of men but look horrible without shirt. I know some of it is loose skin. I workout 6 days a week including three days of weights. Chest and belly still there. I realized recently that i can see sort of a six pack under the flab. My hope is that cutting back on carbs and sugars and increase protein while consuming 1600 calories will tone me up and I can get rid of that last part. That is why I now do CC+. I want to fix my diet as a last resort to getting some sort of surgery. |

| Fitness | Stationary bike vs. normal bike | Mar 29 2008 04:03 (UTC) |

try x-biking if you belong to gym. instructor says it burns 2x what spinning does. It adds resistance to upper body. I do it 2x per week and it is the most I sweat. From their website (x-biking.com): Q: What makes X-Biking different from traditional indoor cycling (Spinning®)?
A: There are many things that differentiate X-Biking from the indoor cycling that most people are familiar with. First and foremost, the patented X-Bars (right) are designed to move from side to side, mimicking the real motion created when riding a real mountain or road bike out of the saddle while climbing or sprinting. Further, the X-Bars incorporate a resistance mechanism to provide an upper body and core workout not possible with traditional indoor cycling (Spinning ® ). Second, the X-Bike uses a standard ‘freewheel’ gear mechanism unlike the ‘fixed gear’ mechanism found on the traditional Spinning ® bike. The X-Bike’s freewheel gear makes it the safest indoor bike to ride and further enhances X-Biking workouts because the rider is forced to maintain correct form and utilize their entire pedal stroke, thereby increasing the overall metabolic cost of the effort. This is just one of the reasons X-Biking classes need only be 30 minutes long. Third, the X-Bike features an on-the-fly shifting mechanism that permits the rider to control the resistance at the pedals without moving their hand from the handlebars and with a very high degree of accuracy. |
