Cereal, cereal, cereal.....I have a 15 yo (always hungry) autistic son who likes his cereal in a certain bowl and will not fill it beyond a certain line below the rim.  It doesn't matter if there are 10 pieces of cereal left, he will NOT overfill his bowl to empty the box.  While this particular quirk keeps him from overeating, this is my rant....He will put the box of cereal back in the cabinet with 10 or 5 or 3 flakes in the box....When he is ready for another bowl of cereal, he refuses to use the opened box because it isn't enough for a full bowl--he HAS to open a new box...I get ready to go grocery shopping, look in the pantry and see we have 4 boxes of cereal and don't buy any....LITTLE DO I KNOW that all 4 boxes combined would equal about 20 flakes!!!  We are always out of cereal!  But what the heck..if that is the worse thing I have to complain about having two teenagers, then I am blessed.

(Other than the time we were having important dinner guests and my homemade rolls didn't rise, despite it being a recipe I use often...we later found out my son was "helping" me by patting it every time he walked by so it wouldn't run over the top of the pan - gotta stay inside the rim ya know!!!)

I too am hyper-sensitive to meds (2 Advil or Tylenol and I need a nap - 1 dose of Benadryl and I need a nice cave to hybernate in!!!)  My family and I SWEAR by a homeopathic remedy call "Sabadil" by Boiron.  It's non-drowsy and no drug interaction.  Even on my worst days when I feel like my nose is a faucet and my eyes are swelling, 2 doses (15 mins apart) are all it takes to relieve my symptoms.  Even my hubby and kids (15 and 17), who roll their eyes at anything organic or homeopathic, agree this works and works fast!  You can order these online or find them at most Whole Food type store.  My local HEB superstore also carries them.  Hope this helps!

New here! Love the rants!  When ranting here out loud, my DH says my "b!tch turbines are on HIGH" tee hee.

My rant for the day:  The ad on the opening page that states:  LAP BAND "cures" 75% of Type-2 diabetes!  NOT WEIGHT LOSS, but LAP BAND, i.e. only having surgery and giving the medical community lots of $$$!  This is the second time I've seen this type of ad - the first was for gastric bypass.  Really irks me!  I think someone else posted on here that when people ask how you lost weight and you reply: "Ate less in general AND less fat and sugars AND exercised more" you get these "gee is she smokin' crack in the daytime" looks?  OK, turning the turbines down to low......Have a blessed day everyone!
