Hi sdduhart I'm cyndie and I was over 250lbs when I started you can do this. I just celebrated the holidays in my new body without having to take the surgery route. I ate well and exercised and lost over 80lbs since March 2008. You can do it don't give up and forgive yourself for bad days and keep moving in the right direction. I would still like to loose another 20-30lbs and plan to start on that this week. The Holiday's are really hard with all the parties but it can be done. start weight 253lbs current weight 165lbs. |

Great Job you are working it girly. I'm proud of you. If I can do this anyone can. keep going, You will make your goal size before you know it.
Thank you jerichocheyenne, you are right nothing taste as good as being thinner. I look at myself and can't believe it most days but I'm getting used to the new me for sure. |

Hi everyone, It has been a while since I posted I am alost down 100lbs belive it or not. I have 5 more pounds to go. It has been a few months since I posted anything. I think it was July 23rd the last time I posted. Jerichocheyenne, I am sorry to hears of all the things you have been dealing with. I hope you are getting settled and adjusted to you new life. Here is where I stand as of today. Let's get back on track gang we can do this!!!

Hello Everyone, It has been forever since I have logged on. My son has been in baseball and with practice everyday, working, going to school and two other kids I have been so busy I barely have had time to sleep. We just got back from World Series we did not do too good but it was a fun trip. Well I am almost there. When I started this I was 222 and I am now 177. I was down to 172 but I gained a few pounds while we were out of town but I am back on track as of today. Starting weight- 254 CC starting weight- 222 current weight - 177

lonestarpenny, It is weird you know I know in my mind and by my clothes that I am smaller but I don't see much of a difference in the mirror. I think I never saw myself as big as I really was so it is very hard for me to see that I am smaller. Thanks for the encouragement I need it with this holiday weekend it is hard we have 2 bbq's this weekend and I am not doing as well as I wanted too. I could not resist the homemade ice cream. I am just forgiving myself for the slip-ups and starting fresh today.

Jericho, Hang in there girl you mean so much to all of us. You got this thing started and you have people who care about you and how you are doing. We may not live very close but we are just one click away. You are so brave to even admit that you backed off due to emotional eating I don't know too many people who would have that integrity an be that honest to share that. Stay encouraged you are doing great and we all fall but the ability to get back up and keep going shows the kind of person you are and desire to be. You can do this!!! It has been a while since I have logged on and I need to update my picture. It has been a few weeks because I have been so busy with little league baseball my son is on 3 teams right now and things are so hectic. I also coordinated autism night with our local minor league team and we raised $16,000.00 for it, so excited. As for my weightloss so far so good. I think the last time I was on I weighed 203 and I am now 187. That is a total weightloss of 67lbs from my highest weight and 35 lbs since I joined calorie counters. My weightloss has slowed down but it is going in the right direction. I went shopping and got a few shirts and jeans. I'm finally out of plus sizes after 14 years this is all new but I am getting used to it more every day. Hang in there gang let's do this together and I will do my best to log more.

Hi Everyone,
It has been over a week since I have signed in. Things are so hectic right now but so far so good. I weighed in last Friday and while I lost 5.8 lbs in fat I gained 6 in water weight my time of the month so the water has piled on. Oh well I am trying not to be discouraged this week. I went to the movies and ate popcorn the first time i have eaten popcorn since Feb. and it was so yummy but I did count my kernals and I ate about 50 don't ask me why I counted I guess I wanted to try to figure out how many calories so I could try to work it off in my workouts. I have also had serious munchies this weekend the first time I have felt this way in a long time. I tried to stay as busy as possible to keep my mind off of food. Friday is another weigh in so I really hope I am under 200lbs. I am really looking forward to that because I have nto been under 200lbs since the early 90's. Has anyone else lost a lot of weight and had to go shopping for new clothes? I am finding that so hard to do. I have lost enough weight to not have to shopin plus sizes anymore and I am fiding it very difficult and over whelming to shop. When you are overweight you go to your small section of the store and that is it and you don't have a lot to choose from but now I feel so overwhenlmed shopping too many choices and styles. I need a girlfriend to shop with. If you have any toughts or advice please help me. My daughter says it should be fun but it is not for me. I still only look for black stuff and she calls that hiding. |

Hi Guys, It has been a few days since I have logged on. I forgot to log in my weight loss last week. It was 6 lbs, So far so good, I am trying to do two workouts a day starting this week.
Welcome to all the new people and I will keep you posted on my progress. WE can do this guys!! STARTING WEIGHT 246 CC STARTING WEIGHT 222 CURRENT WEIGHT 211 GOAL WEIGHT NOT SURE YET JUST TRYING TO GET UNDER 200 FOR NOW.

laurienkids2 I bet you have lost more than you think. When it is our TOM we tend to hold on to water weight wich can account for up to 5 lbs of weight. Give yourseld another week and you will see that you lost more than 2oz of weight when it is all finished. Don't get discouraged. Post pics of the new luandry room always looking for ideas to do to mine.

Hi guys, Sorry I did not get to post over the weekend. I weighed in on Friday and was 217 not sure if I posted that. 222 to 217 that is 5lbs off. Still working on this week but so far so good. tammyb1995- that is exactly what it was then. Last week I weighed in and had not lost a pound and was so upset but I had 5 lbs in fat even though the scale did not show it. It showed up this week. Just keep it up and don't get discouraged unlike men we have to tend with water weight and I was told by my dr. that women can expect to retain about 5lbs in water when it is time for her monthly so within the next couple of weeks you will see it drop.
kawnd11- Good job you did it that is awesome, who cares what you look like the point is you are working it momma!!
jerichocheyenne- I like that goal, I am going to shoot for it.
I lost 5 lbs this week, I weighed in today. Like some others I weigh in on Friday's. So far in the past 6 weeks I have gone from 246 to 217. Under 200 here I come!!!!

Hi guys, Weigh in today a little nervous, hope all goes well. Welcome to all the new people. catbird-woman- You are on the right track, good job loosing the 9lbs. When I started a moth or so ago everyone was asking me what my goal was and I broke it up into small goals like you are doing. I started at 246 and my first goal was to be under 200 then I would set another. I think when we set out with so many high expectations right off the bat we can get discouraged easily and feel like it will never happen so good for you for setting small goals at first.
Tammyb1995- Don't cry at all you are doing great look at the overall picture versus the one week pictureand keep your head up. It could that you are retaining water more this week and you may have lost weight but with retaining water it does not show on the scale. I know that is how I felt last week going to the dr. I did not loose a pound but gained 3 oz. and thought I would cry then they told me that it was water weight I had gained and had actually lost fat over the week. Keep your head up you are going for it and that alone is encouraging people to start themselves.
happyhealthyme- we have soemthing in common I love volleyball and play in our church league and it is so much fun. I am proud of you for making the change for your kids. My kids inspired me as well to do better. You are not a horrible mother. A mother who sees the problem and then refuses to make the changes for there kids are horrible not you. My daughter is 16 and has bad eating habits because of me I can tell you that since I started she has begun to loose weight herself just from doing what I do in a modified way and she is exercising with meand stuff. We as mothers have the power to change our families. I'm proud of you for making the changes even the small ones will change your kids lives.
neverilluknow- I like the idea of logging I can logg on Friday's that is the day I get weighed.

longwaytogo, I was a night eater as well but when I got off the sugars and bad carbs the cravings went away. Now to get off of that stuff was hard and took about a week to get it all out of my system. If I do eat after 7:00 I eat protein like pepperoni or I eat sugar free jello that helps with my sweet tooth and is only 10 calories no fat and no carbs. Hope this helps. skorosac |

I walk by the water every morning for 3 miles as my exercise and I run/walk in the afternoons and play volleyball. I may be a liitle too ambitious for this month but I can't wait to be under 200lbs. I have the Tea-bo series and I never started it. They are so hard. I tried with my husband but he is so uncordinated that I spent most of the time laughing at him instead of doing the workout. I may try them again. I'll let you know how it goes. You are right if I can do a little bit a day at least that is something.

Hello, I justfound this today as well and decided to join up. I am looking for someone to talk to through this process. I am not sure about how many stones I weigh. I and 5'4 and weigh 222 pounds as of last Friday but I would love have a buddy through this if you are game. I would like to loose at least 80 pounds if not 100. I started a weight loss program 5 weeks ago and I weighed 246 at the time. Let's stay in touch and encourage each other as we go.

Hello everyone, I am new to this site, today is my first day of seeing it. I would love to join you all. I started my weight loss program about 5 weeks ago. I would love to loose 100lbs. It takes your body at least 3 days to get into ketosis stage according to my doctor. Sugar, and bad carbs take you out of this stage. A strict protien only diet will put you there the quickest. I am on a medically supervised weightloss program and have to check my ketosis level daily. If I am at a high level of ketosis for several days that means I am most likely dehydrated. I can say that I have been on this program for 5 weeks and in that time I have lost 27lbs of just fat. After the first week you can add good carbs back in but only those found in fruits and veggies other than potatoes, rice and stuff like that. Hope this helps. |
