Thanks for starting this jbedore73 It's hard to find people that I can relate to sometimes. I have been struggling with my weight for half my life and until now have never felt like I had a handle on it, that is, until I joined CC. Everyone is so nice and supportive and I don't feel so isolated anymore. Together we can do this ladies!!! |

Thanks amayou82!!You had me at $21!!!lol Thanks girlsfighting27. My Gap Card is gonna get some good use this weekend!!! I was very reluctant/self conscience to get the "skinny" jeans for a while but I'm getting used to the idea that I might actually look good in them!!

GI-jane is right there's an unwritten law of the universe that says... no two scales will ever weigh you the same!!! LOL I have the same problem with scales too so I stick to the doctor's scale to determine my actual weight and use my analog scale home( that is posessed by a 5lb demon I'm almost sure ) to determine weight loss. Good luck at the doctors keb1984!! |

I'm so glad you posted this southern_midwife my closet was full of jeans from ranging from sizes 16 down to 10 I dreamt of the day to be able to go to my "skinny" jeans and celebrated every time i was able to go a size down!!now I'm an 8!!! it was the best feeling in the world when I cleaned out my closet and took bags and bags full of clothes that were way to big over to Goodwill!! Now I have the pair of size 6 jeans that I use as motivation!! and whenever I'm feeling down I try on a dress that once was fitted and now I just look silly in because it is way too big. Congrats to all and lets keep up the good work!!! |

I was diagnosed with PCOS about three years ago and was put on medication( Metformin). Now 50lbs later almost all symptoms are gone!!just be patient and slowly but surely you'll get there!! I'm still trying to get the hang of the glycemic index i'm def going to look into getting that book Gi Jane Thanks!!Good luck and keep us posted!! |

In March 2006 I saw pictures of me on my 28th birthday and did not like it at all, I went to my doctor and was diagnosed with PCOS(poly-cystic ovarian syndrome) and borderline diabetic!!I didn't like where that was going. I'm still single and I would like to be married with children someday and I knew it would be almost impossible if I kept living the very unhealthy lifestyle I was living. Now I'm almost 50lbs lighter way more active and loving it!! |

Calorie deficit means if you burn 2000 calories in a day and you eat 1500 that leaves a 500 calorie deficit(-500). You seem to be pretty smart about your weightloss but your parents are right and you are still growing so I agree with mattywright and I think you may need to up your calories a little. Good luck! |

First of all congrats on your weight loss!! you should be very proud!! Thanks for the advice I too have been blessed/cursed with lovely lady humps(DD) and have been afraid to jog for that reason. I'm heading to Target after work and hitting the treadmill ASAP!! |

I think your best bet would be to prepare your own. It's not that hard and you're right it's good on everything!!! Your basic Salsa is chopped tomatoes, onions and Cilantro. you can also add Jalapeño peppers if you spicy food. add a little limes juice and salt and pepper to taste and you have a pico de gallo salsa. There are so many varieties to choose from at the store and some are pretty decent but watch the labels for sodium content. |
