I agree.  Plus it's sort of an extra source of motivation to have around.  If your love interest takes care of him or herself, then it becomes easier to do it yourself.  Add to that the fact that it can be just another extra little thing you can do together;)

Anybody went through the late night college experience?  This is sooooo annoying, I'll go through the entire day eating barely anything bc I am always running around, and then come night time, bam! I have to be in one place for long periods of time, studying and what not, and end up splurging on over what I allow myself on a daily basis.  I hate this, it's so freaking agravating, especially since I pull all-nighters five out of seven nights of the week most weeks, so not only am I not sleeping enough to allow my body to recuperate on a day to day, but i eat so late bc it is the only stationary time I really have in a day...and this with my meals being planned each week.

Don't know what to do:(  any advice?

Oh, thanks for the warm welcome, you are all so very nice;)

Let's see, I love the treadmill, weights and calisthenics, so that's what I usually keep my activity level up with. I am aslo a dancer, I do African dance--kind of mixed genre-- as well as Latin dance, which I love since I grew up with it:) I do that a couple times a week in addition to my daily workout. I am a soy junkie, especially since I am lactose intolerant. I have dug up all sorts of fun and yummy milk replacers, which in turn put me on other soy and tofu products. And just to clarify, I am not vegan or anything, I do eat meat, I have just been forced to turn away from yummy dairy products...but I do love cheese...alot!

As for food, and since I am in college--which makes it super hard to find time for eating, let alone proper eating--I try to plan my daily intake about a week in advance, that way I know exactly what is going into my body, and what I need to start thinking about shopping for. I also always make sure to allow myself a little treat so I don't binge;) I like chocolate chip cookies:)

Today I ran for 30min, did 30min of calisthenics and went back on the treadmill for a 30min power walk, since I decided not to do weights today--I'm a bit tired from the past week or so--and then I finished it all off with 15min of calisthenics...whew!

Can I join too!!! My current short term goal is def 130 but ultimately 125. I am currently 143 and would really like this to budge;)  I am only 5'2" of medium frame and although my friends keep telling me how 'tiny' they think I look, I would really like to be within my healthy BMI, which is below 136, ugh, so frustrating.

Ah, hope I am not too late!  I would love to lose 15lbs, I am currently 143 and would ultimately like to be between 120-125.  I am graduating in two months, and want to look great for it.  Most of my friends are naturally super skinny and pig out a lot--being in college it's kind of hard not to:(--so it is really hard to get them on board for support.  Thankfully I am very motivated but I do have my 'craving-support' moments which is one of the reasons why I joined CC.  Looking forward to losing and seeing everyone's progress;)

Hello, I am also 22 and new to the scene.  About a year ago, I lost about 30lbs ( I used to weigh 180) eating very little when I went abroad to France, but other than walking a whole lot, I wasn't really healthy or active.  Coming back everyone was all shocked and such by how "tiny" I'd gotten, but I still felt so crappy and unhealthy.  So...I recently changed my entire diet and active level.  My friends gang up on me about my new habits, "why do you eat this and that,"  "why are you gym obsessed?"  but the key is to be firm and stay on track.  And yes I give in from time to time, I feel like that is inevitable when you are constantly surrounded by pizza eating, chip munchers (as much as I adore my friends, great people, but lets face it).  And actually, I have managed to atleast get a couple of them to the gym if not eating as healthily as I like;)  Little successes first, right?

In any case, It is nice to meet you, and I also like the idea of joining a community where people won't think I am ridiculous because I rather be at the gym than...lord knows what getting fat off of...lord knows what;)

I have lost 4lbs since joining the community and going, so keep up the good work;)

p.s maybe try finding some spot yourself where you and your friends can all agree to disagree?
