jayd -my boyfriend used to do that all the time too and I couldn't understand why. He's slowly getting out of that habit though.

When I'm thinking to myself I think as if I'm talking to someone. Like if something happens and I wish I could tell my boyfriend I'll pretend I'm talking to him, and he talks back in my head... I argue with people in my head too. It's really strange.

then i'd be f-ing rich, but i guess other girls would be too... girls would end up paying for everything though and it would make boys more lazy. and instead of the pill that makes you have your period 4x a year, it would make you have it every week!

this thread is too funny.

my bf is definitely my best complimenter. he tells me that sometimes he stares at me from behind as if he didn't know me - checking me out. and i just started jogging on the treadmill at the gym and he was staring at me like the whole time. He said he wished that he had the remote from "click" (the new adam sandler movie) and he would put me on slow-motion. *rolls eyes* but then we go home from the gym and, uh, yeah...

it does make you feel good even if it is your s.o. giving the compliments!

yeah I think mine's become more regular, and it seems like the actual flow-age is shorter. I think it's normal to have little fluctuations in the beginning but if you're really late, i dunno.

ooooh yeah i just broke mine today! I was stuck at 154 for 4 weeks.

I started at 174 and got down to 153. then I gained back up to 160 then I started on here. I got down to 154 and it was so hard to break that mark but I finally just broke my plateau and got below my lowest weight this morning *does happy dance*

don't worry it'll pass! just give it time!

(i've been doing a happy dance alll day)

I busted my plateau toooooo!!! yay i had the best day ever it started out with me losing 2lbs after being stuck for 4 weeks! hopefully i'll be out of this club and into the next by schooooolllll....

chocolate ones? i only ever had the pure sugar ones. oh yeah and the best ones were the gum ones that had powder in 'em and they were wrapped so you could blow on em and "smoke" would come out. haha. I don't think they really affect kids though because my sis and i used to get them all the time and i cant stand even being around smoke. fun stuff.

you can buy sizer things at walmart (or i guess any jewelry store). it's a little piece of plasticy rubberness that goes over the ring on the inside of your hand. they come in packages of like 6 (all different sizes). it costs like a couple bucks. i'm not too sure of how it'd work with the interlacing ones though. i had one for my promise ring for awhile until i finally got it resized.

you guys make me jealous! the closest panera bread to me is an hour away in erie pa. i haven't even been there since i've been eating better! i go about half of the time that i go to the mall there. if i had one here though i'd be eating french onion soup in a sourdough bread bowl every day... i'm not much of a coffee drinker though.

I get those too. My biggest weakness is my boyfriend. He always wants to eat bad stuff even though he knows we shouldn't and then we end up sharing. One day a couple weeks ago we were in the store and we wanted to get doughnuts. I figured splitting one wouldn't be too bad, but both of us felt nauseous after.

two close mini goals:

1. fit into my tight tight jeans (small size 11) that fit right now but they have 4 snaps for the fly and I want to be able to wear them without safety pins holding it together so my pants don't pop open when i bend down!

2.  break 150 by school (Aug 27)

my big goal is to get to around 130 and be not so squishy.

I'm so in. And Rachael - I'm stuck here too! I've been at 154 for like 3.5 weeks!

I've never been below 153 - that's where I got to before I moved out and started eating crap then joined here (early june?) I bounced back up to 160 then started doing better and now I'm totally stuck!

I really want to get below 150 by the time school starts - I have a little over a month - I start working on Aug 27 so I get to see people and I want a noticeable difference! grrr

edit: I really hope that just ending ttotm will help me maybe break the plateau???? please? I've never gained during ttotm but I get little plateaus...

Thanks for all your replies. This was just something that was mentioned in a magazine and it got me thinking. I might just end up going on the pill. I think it's more that I kinda didn't want to be putting chemicals in my body I don't need. I would feel safer though... I'm probably just gonna stick to condoms for now though.

Yeah I just really don't want to go on the pill. I hate the idea of having to take something every day - I can barely remember my vitamins! I've always just used condoms this is just a don't-use-a-condom-when-you-don't-have-to type thing. The beads just help you keep track.

the thing i don't like about videos is that it's always the same thing! it gets really boring especially if you have the beginner ones that say "this is how you do this and it helps with blah blah blah" but I can't afford to go to a class right now so it's all i have. i did take yoga as a gym class at my school and i loooved it... i so wish i could take a class!

you can, but you'll be starving. healthier foods fill you up more and you can eat more of them. As long as you have the calorie deficit (should be around 500) you should lose weight. You'll learn that it's better to eat things with more fiber (keeps you fuller longer) and veggies (have very little calories so you can eat a ton!). Just make sure you log everything you eat so you can see your calories and also your ratios (should be about 40-50% carbs, 25-35% protein, and 20-30% fats). I think shifting your eating patterns should help you eventually get healthier.

my boyfriend alllllways tells me that he would like me to be thinner and he supports my weight loss and he always says he NEVER wants to be able to see my ribs! it is really a good indicator of "too bony"-ness

is it like tofurkey? i've tried some at my school before and it's okay just don't expect it to taste like turkey. I've never tried seitan but I know they have it for sandwiches there (i work in the food court). I prefer hummus on wheat bread with tons of veggies. My school also offers "veggie spread" which is basically cream cheese with some veggies in it, that's good too - and i discovered towards the end of last semester that hummus + veggie spread + veggies = yummy.

It's 87 right now (western ny) heat index = 90, humidity = 48%. it feels so hot, even though i know it's not terrible. I'm just glad I'm not a maid in the one hotel I work in (there's 2 and I clean the one with 11 rooms on the weekends) - they have to clean 3rd floor rooms with no a/c! uck!

haha i think it's "penises" but my boyfriend decided a long time ago it should be "peni" also. anyways, I don't think I would ever even try liver, so I'm thinkin that's a "NO".
