I was not losing for almost 5 weeks and then at the end of 5 weeks I started dropping 1 lb everyday. I lost 4 lbs in 4 days. But I think I have been losing thru the 5 weeks it just did not show on the scale may be because of fluid or muscle gain caz of exercise.

Count me in too. My biggest prob is carbs carbs and more carbs. Rice, Bread, fried snacks.Any on else has the problem with carbs too. BTw I am Indian and all the spicy Indian food is what I crave and what's got into my weight problem. Starts with 1 cup of rice and more and more. I used to think that I am the only one with loss of control or I have some kind of food addiction. |

I lost atleast 2 lbs per week when I started. This week I have atleast maintained a 800 calorie deficit everyday. I only lost 0.6 LBS . Very frustrating for me. Is this normal? |

Interesting replies everyone. I hate exercise too. Number one reason is I have dizzy attacks when i get on treadmill I guess because of my ear. So I tried to stay on light walking or standing instead of sitting whenever I can. I make sure I get about 1000 cal deficit in my calories most of the days if I exclude days that I give into cravings. So far I have lost 10 lbs @2lbs/wk. Losing weight is by no means easy without exercise but so far light work did seem to help me. Hope this helps you. Good luck. |

Hi All, I am 5 5, female 33 now at 179. I started at 190lbs this march. I lost about 10 lbs so far. I would like to join this group. My concern is the cravings I get. Especially I crave for carbs and spicy food. Some days I want to give up all and start to my bad habits. It is getting tougher day by day to keep myself motivated and stay in the right tack. I do not have any personal problems to do any emotional eating . My biggest problem is I think I am addicted to Food. I like the taste in my mouth I guess.

well Thank you all for your advise. but If ibinge once a week or so not really going over 2500 calories though should I try to cut down the next day ? Will it affect my metabolism in any way because I am getting the cravings once a week atleast. |

To All users, Trust me I am in medical field. There is no magic cure for weight loss. Ali is safest but also does not do wonders because it only blocks 20% of fat calories. They only work with diet and exercise. As far as the other drugs are concerned you are lucky to be alive even after taking them. They are meant for only 100 % healthy peolple with no hidden heart disease etc. Be safe than sorry. Work it out with diet and exercise only |

I was on a strict diet of 800 to 1000 cal per day for 9 days. Then I ate normally for 4 days fearing about the starvation mode. I only lost like 2 lbs for the whole 9 days and gained like 1 lb when I started eating normally. Does anyone know why the weigt loss is so slow? In theory I should have lost like 3 lbs in those 9 days? |

I did the same thing last week. Stayed on a 1000 cal per day diet for 9 days. I gave up the diet for 4 days. I ended up gaining 2 lbs. It is very frustrating.

Thank you Jane. I am currently following 1 cup of yoplait for breakfast 1 cup of rice and side vegetables for lunch and dinner, baby carrots, another yoplait , 3 cups grapes, 1 apple. Is it too high incarbs? |

Hi guys, I am in the same line. Only difference is I hate to exercise and I am trying to do it by diet only somedays 1300 cal per day and somedays as few as 800 cal per day. I have started this on 03/31 and so far I have lost only 1lb. Deppressing for me. Now that I found you guys I guess I will not be sad any more. Because others have the same issues as I do. |

Thank you all for your advise. I am pretty sure I am counting my calories right. I am a person who hate to exercise because it is making me more hungry. I do very light work around the house because I live by myself. All in all my day goes mostly sitting and sleeping involving very light work. May be thats why I might not be burning as many calories or my metabolism has slowe down bcaz I am 32? |

- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
