I have a friend with a similar problem. She's 5'8" and 115 pounds. She wears a size 1, I believe, but has love handles right at her waist. No matter how much she diets or exercises, they never go away. Some people are just like that.

1800 sounds good for a couple months, but I'd up it to more than 2000. Remember, you're eating for two people now, not just one.


Also, I wouldn't worry about weight too much while pregnant. It's only a few months, and you can lose all you want later.


Make some room in your diet for more protein. Drink whole milk, etc.

Yeah, my friend Will had the same problem. He dropped 100 pounds in five months and now is a bit bald, and the rest of his hair is pretty coarse. It's a protein deficiency. :( Eat more protein to stop it in its tracks, then use the shampoo listed above.


Also, you're eating less calories than you should. Up it by a couple hundred if you're exercising that much.

I wish I had the reverse effect! lol.


I gain a couple pounds before, and a couple days after, they disappear. I feel all bloated and icky :(


Do you feel any thinner when it happens, or is it just stepping on the scale and going "Oh, awesome!"
