enough said.

I'm not looking for an argument, kay? It was offensive becuase being tall is difficult unless you're a slim and beautiful model.

lol bring short is difficult too! being average is difficult!! being alive is difficult!!! being sad is difficult!!!  so it all equals out in the end.

never say never

i don't see how i dissed tall people. i never said tall people were bad or worse, etc.  i said that i enjoy seeing short people or people with heights similar to mine in clothing that i like rather than taller people.  obviously, this is because i can compare how certain items that may not always look good on short people may look on me.  perhaps you are easily offended or you mistook my statement for something it was not.

and i never actually said 'tall people' (until now);  i said models, and the aesthetics promoting them.  i can not imagine myself as a model of taller height because that is not what i am, therefore it would be ridiculous for me to aim for something like them that i will not attain with my height. i cant wear certain pants in certain styles. it makes me look stumpy. that is a fact i cannot remove.  that is why i appreciate short people who wear the clothes i like

Although I am very interested in fashion, models have not affected my view of body image.  I have never wanted to look like them.  First off, I am short (5'4") so to imagine myself like them seems odd to me.  I am only interested in their makeup, the clothing they are wearing, and the styling done... also their hair sometimes.

I like my short stature, so i am happy to see short people wearing clothes i like. In this way, models just seem distant to me.  I think short people just look cuter in general, especially shapely short folks.

Ouch.

Young Calorie Counters How to tell a guy you don't like him.....gently! Sep 15 2009
23:28 (UTC)
1

you are just going to have to be straight with him. say something along the lines of

"i've noticed that it seems that you like me, and i don't want to lead you on, so i will tell you  now that i am not attracted to you in that way.  it has nothing to do with anything youve done or didnt do.  it is just my personal preference."

this is a nice but straightforward way to say it.  most people wont even tell you why they dont like you, so that is good to get out there.  if he asks can he do something to change so that you could like him just tell him that you will never like him in that way and that you really dont want to lead him on to think that you do feel something towards him in that way.   if he tries to be mean, then ignore him.

if he says ' can we still be friends" then answer yes if you want to be friends.  if you don't, just tell him that you are good on friends right now.

it may seem harsh, but if you are not straightforward, people still think that they have a chance at being with you, and that youll change your mind.

personally, if i were to get rejected, i would prefer the method i stated rather than being led on or being told something mean or being ignored.  you will know in the end that no matter how he acts later, you were honest, respectful, kind, and you did the right thing.  i hope that helps.

by the way, i got most of this advice from my brother some time ago when i had a similar problem.

!!!

I was seriously about to post this topic!  I started P90x Lean last week, but due to being sick (and it getting progressively worse) I was only able to do the first day of core synergistics (which totally kicked my butt in a good way)

Tomorrow morning I am going to take my measurements, and then take pictures later that day before I do my first work out session.  I will restart with CS.

My goal though, is to be able to do the Dreya Roll at the end of the program (or at least by my second round haha).

Only thing though, is because of a foot condition, it begins to hurt when using my running shoes even with my inserts. When I first did the warm-up, my body was feeling good, but my feet were burning with pain (not heat), so I had to take my shoes off and shake them out a little.  I kept them off for most of the workout, until the end.

Yes, yes, I understand.  Thank you all for your answers.  Oh, I am not trying to promote unhealthy eating or unecessary loss of weight.  Thanks again.  I will try the resistance ( I myself am only interested in fitting better into my favorite jeans that have gotten a bit too tight).  I don't feel fat at all.  :) If it ain't broke, don't fix it.  :D

Regardless of measurements posted by others, I won't feel afflicted, but I understand what both of you are saying. I think I will edit my post to say 'closed' as I realise that if there was a compiled list of thigh sizes, other girls thinking they need to lose weight that they don't, may see this as 'motivation' or rather purpose to lose more by way of comparison.

GOD Bless.  :))

Thank you for your answer. I wasn't using this as a measurement for losing, if you thought that.  I was just wondering, and by answers, I could compare the average thigh size.  I don't want to know so that I can change myself to match another.  I just was wondering.

And I am aware that most teens don't measure there thighs.  If you meant that.  Or did you mean, by the answers you'll want to hear, that I won't hear the measurements I want?  If the latter, I want to hear all measurements.  If the former, I'll just have to wait it out and see.  I know all answers on internet are subjective to individual interpretation, but I wasn't meaning I need to lose.  Of course, I have posted about losing, because I have extra weight that is not to do with my genetic build-up, but this post is just of thigh sizes. I think I'll edit to disinclude the rest.
But please imagine me saying this all in a monotone voice.

Curiousity killed the cat, huh?

Young Calorie Counters Why do you Want to be Skinny? Dec 07 2008

I personally want to look better to myself. Of course, to some degree, everyone wants to look nice to others, but it really matters what you yourself think.

I want to lose the pouch/extra belly fat I have, and I want to tone up and slim up my thighs.  They are currently 22" and 22.5" at a weight of 124.  This is not what I want, therefore I am trying to change it.

I also want my two pairs of jeans that are too tight but very cute to be loose and comfortable.  Therefore, lose weight! Tone up!

I set my goal as 103, but if I find I like the way I look at 115, or something, so be it.  No reason to lose more just to see a number on a scale.

Young Calorie Counters school lunches =/ Dec 01 2008

My school's lunches are disgusting.  They bake instead of fry, but its still greasy tasting.  When I used to eat meat, I hated their burgers.  They are a soy mix, and from what I've heard now, they aren't meat at all, of course, I'm not taking any chances haha.

We have a salad bar, which is okay for a quick baked potato and bowl of lettuce with dressing.

It isn't the worst health-wise, but hey, they still order pizzas from cici's and they are the epitome of thin grease-covered snacks.  Snacks because they are so tiny.  They also order breadsticks, yes, those really big breadsticks with two cups of marinara sauce.  They are good, but at the same time bad, hahaha.

My school doesn't have any vending machines that I know of.  Teachers aren't 'allowed' to give candy to students anymore.  We do, however, have a "Candy Corral" in our new cafeteria in which you can buy chocolate bar, take5, reeses, baked lays chips, allsport drinks and other non-soda can drinks, water, and a variety of frozen treats, i.e. iscream youscream we all scream for icecream.
