It kind of bothers me that I could order a dish that comes with meat, say steak fajitas for example. I could order that without the steak and they don't take any $$ off of the price! (I've asked) They should! It certainly costs less for them... :/

I get the shorts that have built-in undies or tight "biker" shorts underneath, so it covers you where you want to be covered, and the outer short is also baggy so it doesn't show every flaw. Nike makes some cute ones, They have all kinds of colors. Under Armour, too. And I have also seen Champion ones in Target for only like $12!

I, too, binge on bread. It's crazy to think that I could easily eat a whole loaf of bread and still crave more. Sometimes I eat only the crusts... :o/ what a waste.

But, if I find myself binging on bread I wil try to drink a whole bunch of water, and it makes me feel too full to continue eating any more.

I do pretty much the same thing as misty1993, except I order the veggie fajitas and ask that they use very little oil when they prepare them. I usually don't eat the tortillas, but if I do I only use one. Also go easy on cheese/sour cream/guacamole. And I don't eat the rice, but I will have some of the beans unless the are prepared with lard. If I want chips & salsa I take a few and send the rest back, so I won't eat them out of boredom. Hope this helps =)

I usually get the Minestrone soup, which is very low cal, I think like 180 or so for a bowl. I get the dressing for the salad on the side and pick out the croutons. The only other thing I get there is the whole wheat linguine with marinara which I believe is arround 400 cal or so.

It will be my totm in about 5 days and i have already gained 3 lbs Undecided I always seem to gain anywhere between 2-5 pounds, and it has started up to 2 weeks before the totm! It sucks...I hate that! Especially when I know that I have been eating right and working out as I should. At least we know it's only water and it's only temporary! Wink

Those are pretty much the same things I would eat before and after, I've heard yogurt is good before a workout because it's easily digested. So I would say those are great snacks =D

I used to work at an applebee's and ALL of the steaks are coated with melted butter before being served, which I personally think is disgusting. The cooks always messed with any food ordered by a cop..including rubbing their steaks in and arround the floor drain before cooking (gross!!! >.<) And after they plate the food, they are supposed to clean the edges of the plate so it looks neat, and they use a nasty dirty old rag that has been *God knows where* probably been using it all day ..that always grossed me out.

We also very rarely used "light" ranch. If someone ordered it, you just get regular! Same goes for honey mustard. Just laziness I guess.. I really don't trust eating out at restaurants too much after working in one =/

Justins Nut Butter makes single serve (2 tbsp, 190 calorie) packs of peanut butter. They also make almond butter and flavored peanut butters. If you google it you will find their website and you can order online & have it delivered. I know they also sell them @whole foods..

Vegetarian Aren't eggs considered meat too? Apr 21 2008

Original Post by feanor:

Eggs aren't unborn chickens. Supermarket eggs aren't fertilized.

Many vegetarians still don't eat eggs because they are protesting the industry, though.

"I personally think that eating an egg is like taking away the opportunity for a living organism to be brought into this world. But perhaps only people who are vegetarian for ethical reasons see it that way."

Since you didn't have sex today, you are taking away an opportunity for a living organism to be brought into this world. Shame, shame on you.

So true!

A friend of mine thinks she's being healthy when she eats a can of beans for lunch. The whole can. For lunch. And a lot of the time, she'll chop up a whole onion into it, and then toss it with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The whole thing. It boggles the mind, really.

That sounds good to me!! But I love beans =)

"I like to eat egg whites for breakfast, the protein is all in the whites"

Actually, the egg yolk has 2.7 grams of protein per yolk, while the egg white has 3.6 grams.  I wouldn't exactly qualify that as "all the protein in the whites".

Foot in mouth Okay, my bad. I read that somewhere, maybe they meant most of the protein..oh well. Sorry!

If you would rather have someone provide the food for you, since you can't control yourself, have you considered Nutra System? While this isn't something you can realistically do for the rest of your life, it might get you on the right track, help you lose a few pounds and teach you what proper portions look like. Just a suggestion... Good Luck =)

fajitas are a good choice as long as they are not drowned in oil/sauce or cheese. i personally just get veggie fajitas and don't use the tortillas, just eat them with a fork, and a little salsa & guac.

It's not food but my cat likes to lick plastic things, like bags, candy wrappers, etc... The dog likes to get "treats" out of the cats box! She also eats carrots, apples, bananas, yogurt, I guess other than the cat "treats" she is a pretty healthy eater! lol

I like to eat egg whites for breakfast, the protein is all in the whites (the fat in the yolk.) Greek yogurt is very high in protein, about 17 g per serving. Cottage cheese does, too but most people don't like it. You could try to make a lasagna with cottage cheese instead of ricotta, you won't even taste the difference.
