Weight Gain Fast heartbeat after eating? Oct 10 2009

I get like this almost every time I eat a meal.  It's been like that my whole life.  My heart races and my hands shake and I get hot a sweaty.  It's pretty much a normal thing for me.  Do you remember when it first started happening to you?

Weight Loss Tall Woman 5"8+ and calories Sep 27 2009

I'm 5'9" currently averaging 149 lbs.  When I try to lose weight I eat 2000-2300 a day.  I have been struggling on the weekends though.  I always manage to eat between 3000 and 4000 calories at least one day between Fri and Sun..sometimes more than one day.  If I could just stick to my weight loss number I would have no problems losing weight.  I have myself listed at sedentary and add my exercise in as well.  My burn is usually between 2400 and 3000 a day.  I need to start cracking the whip on myself so that I can lose my 10 lbs before the holidays...I know I will probably be gaining...better to gain back the same 10 than to add another 10 on top of that!  LOL

I squat and lunge holding a 20lb weight in each hand.  I use the leg press machine at the gym set to 180lbs.  I do a lot of reps with static holds while using weighs for upper body as well.  Maybe I should follow the plan for the NROWLFW since I read the book and stop running for a while (not that I have that choice now anyway).  My doctor says to start swimming.  Only the gym I go to at lunch doesn't have a pool....guess that's what a free gym will get ya!

I eat so much more when I'm happy and excited!  Social settings with friends and family when the mood is upbeat and there are lots of goodies around are the worst situations for me!  Doesn't help that I am a naturally happy and excited person either!  I'm not complaining about that...but it certainly doesn't help the waistline! :-P

Dark chocolate peanut butter by Peanut Butter and Co.  It's the most amazing thing on earth!  I use it two ways:

Low carb tortilla wrap smutherd with pb and some sugar free strawberry jelly...as a meal...YUM

OR DESSERT...

Low fat graham crackers with a little smeard on top, a few mini marshmallows on top of the pb and then I put under the broiler for a few seconds.  VOILA...healthier s'mores! :-P

I use to walk with weights on the treadmill.  I find it to be a MUCH better workout when I walk at a 4.3 alternating every minute with a 15 incline and a 7 incline.  Now THAT'S a workout! I go for as long as I can go....I usually make it 20 minutes and then set the treadmill to a level 20 random hills workout and walk for another 20 minutes at a 4.0.

Like mperic81 said, I always go into the website to check the nutritional information.  Incidentally, their Pasta e Fagioli is out of this world and only 130 calories per serving.  I'm not an Olive Garden fan at all, but I LOVE this and their bread sticks.

PASTA E FAGIOLI ROCKS!!!!!!  I could go there everyday to eat that soup!

I work out for 40min to an hour in the am 5 days a week at home, 5 days a week over lunch at the gym for about 40 min and I use the weekends to go for long runs outside.  So I work out 7 days a week, several times a day.  Everyday is different though except for the weekends...unless I change my route.  Not too mention my two mile walk every evening with my 6 year old.

Wow...when I was a teen (and I was a cheerleader as well) I ate AT LEAST...and I didn't count calories...but I know I ate a minimum of 3000 calories a day!!!  I ate two of every meal!  What I wouldn't do to go back to that time in my life!!!  Listen girlie...you have the rest of your life to worry about calories.  For now you should be focused on fueling your body and mind and staying active and happy!  The rest will naturally fall into place.

All I can say is that after a day of eating 4,000+ calories for a day or even two days in a row....I end up weighing less within the next few days.  I'm not suggesting to anyone that they should eat THAT much...but it helps me for some reason.

Your turkey and cheese sandwich is dry, what do you put on it? Mayo and cucumber

You're being executed, what do you request for a last meal? My mama's cream chipped dried beef gravy on toast, with a Theo's frozen pizza, and a chocolate cake with fluffy peanut butter icning with a gallon of ice cream with chocolate covered pretzels smashed up and sprinkled over top on the side.  Then for dessert 5 Taco's, a can of refried beans smothered in cheese and sour cream, and to finish it all off....s'mores!

If you had to eat at one fast food restaurant for breakfast, which would it be?  McDonalds....love the egg mcmuffins!

Your inlaws are coming for dinner, what do you make to impress them? My homemade chili and cornbread or my homemade Mac and cheese with bacon and homemade italian seasoned bread.

What food would you be very dissapointed if your grocery store stopped carrying? The huge juicy red delicious apples and the tropical flavored sugar free popsicles

You go grocery shopping, they dont have your brand of peanut butter, would you drive 20 minutes to get it, or buy the unhealthy version (if you eat the natural stuff)? I already do go drive 20 minutes further to get the PB I like!

How long does it take you to grocery shop? 2 Hours-I need to go too three different stores to find all the stuff I need for the week.

Best topping to spread on a bagel? Cream Cheese

Best thing to put on a pb sandwich (jelly, banana, honey, etc)? Jelly, cinnamon sugar, or marshmallow creme

Food you go through the fastest? Apples, cereal, milk, lettuce, cucumbers, parmesan cheese, salad dressing, chick peas, yogurt, sugar free popsicles

Youre at a restaurant and are splurging, eat more food or go for dessert? Eat dessert and then go back for more food!

One food you would make calorie free if you could? Ice Cream and cereal

Cook or be cooked for? Cook

Unpeel the banana and then eat it or peel as you eat? Unpeel and eat

Rip up lettuce and then wash it or wash it then rip it up? wash it then rip it up

Season meat and then throw it in the pan or put it in and then season? Put it in and then season

Best way to make a burger? Using 85/15 organic beef, patty them up, season with salt, pepper, and cayanne...grill to perfection (on a charcoal grill without lighter fluid to start the coals and throw in some hickory smoked wood chips) and top with american cheese.  Serve on a toasted bun with lettuce and ketchup on the side to dip it into.

Could you honestly eat chicken breast and broccoli for the rest of your life? NO WAY

Favorite drink to have with dinner? Diet Canada Dry ginger ale or a glass of organic skim milk

Your case actually sounds very similar to a one of my relatives.  She had so many problems for years and years until she was finally diagnosed with Celiac disease.  Have you been tested for all food allergies?  They never even though to test her for food allergies until someone brought it to her attention and she finally brought it up to about the billionth doctor that she went to.  They put her on a special diet consisting of mostly all meat.  She is finally able to live a normal life.  Just as a side note to this...another weird thing that could cause something like this could maybe be Lyme Disease.  Just another one of those weird things that doctors may not think to test for.
