It has been along time since I have posted anything.  I have been reading though.  I also agree that it is good to see people with the same issues that I have and also watch the progress of everyone overcoming the challenges that are faced each day.

I also have not been logging anything, but I am going to start doing this again.  I am glad to see a little life back on this forum and look forward to continuing this journey with all of you.

jericho,  please know that you are not alone.  I completely understand the rejection feeling, and that is why I read this thread every day.  It helps me to know that there are others out there like me and that maybe in some way we can help each other through this.

Another thing I constantly have to keep in mind is that I am doing this for me, and that I cannot give other permission to get me down.  When ever I go out I feel that people are looking at me and thinking "How could she let herself get that big." In actuality, they probably aren't even really looking at me and if they are who cares because they do not matter.

By starting this thread, you have helped alot of people, and just know that I for one am greatful that you did.

Thanks for your kind words Lonestar Penny, welcome to all, and congratulations to everyone on their losses.  This week has been going pretty well,  I have got out and walked a couple of times and feel pretty good about it. I still stuggle when we go out to eat, but am trying to make good choices,  any tips on how you deal with eating out would be appreicated.

I also get frustrated with thin people who walk around complaining about being fat.  My sister in law does this,  she probably weighs 95 lbs sopping wet with jeans and a sweater on....

Best wishes to all this week!

Well,  I did better than I thought after about 2 weeks of not tracking.  I started the CC journey on April 7, 2008 and I am down a total of 7.2 lbs.  I guess I just want it to go faster than it is, but for that to happen I am going to have to work harder. Smile   I am just about 6ft tall, and have 157 lbs to loose and that will put me at 200lbs.  You can do the math, this is the first time that I have put my stats out here, as I am totally embarrassed by this, but that is my motivation. Oh yeah and I will be the big 4  0  in a couple of months.

I have been heavy pretty much my entire life, but this is the heaviest I have ever been. My husband is somewhat supportive, but it seems that he is always offering me things that I shouldn't have like my fav carmel peanut clusters,  he means well.  He has never had to worry about his weight as he has a high metabolism.

Both of my parents are heavy, my mom has high blood pressure and bad arthritis.  I can tell if I don't get moving more that I am going to be like her.  I have 2 sisters and they both struggle a bit with weight but nothing in comparison to me.  My brother has really never had any trouble with his weight cept now he is getting older he is getting a little thicker.

I know that this is going to be a long journey, but I also know that with some ups and downs I can do this....  You all are my inspiration, it helps me alot to know that I am not alone in this. Smile  Hope you all have a great week.

I haven't posted in awhile, but have been reading through all of the posts.  I have kind of slacked off for the last couple of weeks.  I had a couple of business trips and really had a hard time tracking since I didn't have computer access.  I haven't weighted yet, but I think I have gained back any loss that I had.

I am ready to start focusing again and will probably weight myself tomorrow morning to see how much damage I have done.  Portion control is going to be my main focus and also I am going to get moving more.

I found a great park with a lake that has a walking path around it so I am going to try to get over there and walk now that the weather is starting to get nicer.

Glad to see all of the progress everyone has made, and those who are struggling, you are not alone....

Thank goodness the weekend is over...  Now I can regroup and get back on track.  I don't know why, but I don't seem to struggle as much when I have to go to work every day.

I am really glad to see all of the familiar people finding this post as well.  I think I am driving myself crazy with the scale as I seem to have become obsessed and think I have to weight every day and keeping seeing myself bounce up and down.  I am going to try and weigh myself only one time a week.   I have had some knee issues so I am looking for some low impact activities that will help me burn more calories and tone up.

I am still here as well.  Need some inspiration though..  Todays been kind of a tough day.Cry  It just seem that the bad choices, just snow balled.  I started off ok, but than I really didn't have a meal, but snacked most of the day on junk that I know I don't need and shouldn't have....

Tomorrow will be better..

I am glad you are feeling better jericho.

Longway to go,  I have journeled a little, but I do not have any buddies yet.  It is really hard for me to decide how much I want to put out there.  I seem to be doing pretty good with watching my Calorie Count and have been shedding some pounds, but I am struggling to stay positive.

There are so many of you who are doing a great job, and it is a real inspiration for me to be able to read through all of your experiences.

Welcome Charlenee,  I am going on my second week useing this site, and I really like it,  I have started and stop so many times that I cannot count, but this is it for me.  I am committed to making this a lifetime change..

Best wishes all!

I am with you ddparker,  I am also overwhelmed with how much I have to lose, and I am sorry but I am way to uncomfortable sharing my stats.   I will share my result numbers though, this is my 1st week, and am down 4 lbs and am totally happy with this.Smile  I have really been watching my calories and logging everything.  I feel that this is helping me to be more accountable.

You all are doing a great job, and I really appreciate being able to log on here and find positive people that are going through things that are very similar to me.  I haven't started a formal exercise plan yet, but I am trying to just focus on moving more.  This is a life style change, and we are all going to be better off for doing this!

Are any of you following specific plans?  I am trying not to call this a "diet" as this isn't something I am only going to do for a short period of time, it is something I must do for life time.

I just found this sight yesterday and am just starting out.  I have a long way to go to lose 100 plus, but I am confident that I can do it this time.  I have read the threads and really think this is an awesome support network.
