I am 5'10" and just recently posted some new photos of me down 34 pounds. I was a size 16 at 212 pounds but now I am down to 179 (gained two pounds on vacation.) I wear a size 12 comfortably but my goal is to get to 165 size 10 comfortable. Hope this helps. |

I just got back from Florida this weekend and for the first time in 15 years wore a bikini. Yes, I am still a little pudgy in it but it felt great. I have lost 34 pounds, 15 more to go. Have fun and enjoy it, it feels great! |

I just came back (Oct. 26) from Disneyword in Florida after being gone for 10 days, I ate anything and everything I wanted, walked about 5 miles a day, thought I had gained at least five pounds and only gained 3! Go have fun, enjoy yourself, your body will let you know when it has had enough. Trust me, you cannot fit in anymore food that your shrunken stomache will allow not matter how good it looks. Enjoy youself. |

| Weight Loss | Women - What is your "dieting" daily calorie intake? | Sep 15 2008 16:43 (UTC) |

I average about 1200-1500 calories a day and lose about 1.5 pounds a week. I started in April 2008 and have lost 31 pounds looking to lose about 18 more. I have had about 25 days (sporadic) during that 5 months where I just haven't paid attention to what I ate but I don't think I ever went over 2,000 calories in a day, it is almost hard for me to do that. |

| Weight Loss | 7lbs gained in 2 days...is this physically possible? | Sep 02 2008 15:37 (UTC) |

Don't sweat it. I also (during the memorial day holiday in May) decided that 7 beers wouldn't hurt on top of a BBQ cookout. Guess what, I too gained 6 pounds and was devestated. I think (but by know means am I correct) that the sugar in the beer throws us off. Rest assured it took about 6 days but it did all come off. Hang in there and be consistent this week and I am sure you will drop it too. |

I have been the girlfriend then wife of a Navy Petty Officer 3rd class for 15 years, I was with him when he started out of boot camp and up till his recent Cheifs exam. It is not an easy life we live but my focus when he is away is on my daughter and work. Friends and family also play key roles in this transformation. All I can say is KEEP ACTIVE. Nightime is the hardest time but stay away from those cravings. Buy yourself some sugar free jello when you need to eat "comfort food". Our twenty years will be done before I realize it and I can look back and say I became a much stronger more indepedent person because of all the scarifices me and my daughter have made. Stay strong and make it a point to pamper yourself. |

5' 10 here and started at 212 now at 204. I hide my weight really well but the scale doesn[t lie. I am shooting for 165 but I can't imagine what I would look like at 130-150. I think anorexic. So yes, I can relate...when I tell people I want to loose 35 pds I DO NOT tell them what I started at or what 35 pds would bring me too. 165 still sounds heavy but I think I will look great at it. Don't get discouraged, we are big boned and would look paper thin at 130-150. Anyone ever go from 200 at 5' 10 to 150? Would love to see a before and after. |

I love yellowfish tuna steaks ( a bit pricey 2 steaks for 9.99) but well worth it. I cook mine on the grill with some orange juice and soy sauce, yummy. They have some great recipes at allrecipes.com for fish. |

The nice things about getting "new boobs" no matter what happens, they don't leave you. Congratulations on the weight loss! If you need advice on the "new boobs" let me know. It's great, as I loose weight, they look bigger and bigger because my waiste is getting smaller and smaller. It was the best investment I ever did! |

I am 5' 10 and 204 started at 212 my goal for next week, 200 or under. There are plenty of us out who are bigger girls. Congrats, on all the weight loss! We all should start posting some before or current pictures so we can show the lessor you when you reach your target weight. It's great motivation for others and for yourself. I think every 10 pds I shed I will start taking pictures. Keep up the great work! |

Gi-Jane - Wow! 50 pds, you should post some before and after pictures, thats incredible! I wouldnt mind getting some new clothes but since my current goal is 165 and I am only at 204 right now, that can get costly. Pretty soon, no more Womens size 14-16 for me! I am shooting for size 10 and will take it from there. In the meantime, it's baggy clothes that will hopefully hange off my big butt soon. :) |
