Sooo..hey ladies..it's me, again. Been quite awhile since I have posted anything on the forums, let alone used the board like I should be. Alot of things have been going on in my life and diet and excercise have literally been at the back of the mind. I FINALLY got a new car, and Im in love with it. Positive number 1. Secondly.. My new job is still going well. I work mostly on the weekends, so I have all week usually off.. so I really have no excuses for why I cant excercise. And lastly, I FINALLY got Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DvD Yesterday and Am about to start level 1 today. I know some of you have done it or are doing it, can anyone give me some feedback on the workouts? Did it work for you? Have you lost anyweight, what type of diet are you doing with it? Well I can see this thread has been busy.. last time I was here there was only like 94 pages... *gulp* I wish I could catch up on everything.. But Im just going to start fresh and hope everyones goals are being met and hope everyone is healthy and happy!!!
Hopefully you will see more of me on here. When I was keeping up with the CalCount, i was LOSING weight. Almost 10 pounds in 4 weeks. BUT, then I went on vacation.. and had some stuff going on and just pretty much gave up. so Im right back where I started. :( Wish me luck.. I hear this workout stuff can be killer! <3 Sarah |

| Hmm..so I have decided to do the Couch to 5k plan. When I was younger I LOVED running.. it was such a stress reliever. Now I can haardly do 15 mins without dying. After reading up on it and seeing how many of you gals are doing it, I said why not. Wish me luck!! :)
ps. I just found the site off of coolrunning.com and printed the scheduales out. Will this be suffec.?Im just going to follow it M-W-F every week. and on T & TH im going to do my Red Hot Salsa vid, untill I can get the 30 Day Shred video. also..made soup tonight from scratch.. had to use left over veggies before they went bad. Not sure how it will turn out.. but if its any good Ill let you guys know! :) |

Ok, taking a break from "Spring Cleaning"..and I have a quick question.Accourding to the Target Calorie Meter on here, to reach my goal by December 8th of this year, I have to consume over 3k cals a day.... um...*COUGH*????? please explain this to me before I die of wtfness.

quick note before class... 308.8.. IM FINALLY OUT OF THE TEENS!!! I weighed myself this morning, dreading what I would see because let's face it, these past 2 weeks I haven't really done much of anything except not put as much food in my mouth. LoL. It still scares me that Im in the 300's but It does always help to say " Your' 6'2" Sarah, your built like a mack truck" LoL. I am glad that I can carry my weight well, and for the most part, porportioned(sp) to my body.
So, I am sure once I actually start my job ( may 5th) and throw in some walking at the gym, the pounds will start coming off even faster. When I was 17, I put on about 65 pound in 3 months, I was living in a group home in VA (abusive family) Well when I got out, I managed to drop 60 in a matter of 3 months. I don't know how.. but I think it was just from going out with my friends who I hadnt seen in so long, not eating much, and just constantly being on the go. I was actually starting to look like a person! LOL.And I kept it off for 3 years!! Then i got into a relationship..started getting introduced to video games, and the metabo went wayyyyy down...yadda yadd. You all know how that story goes. :) Ive always been able to lose weight fast once I did something about it. If i can drop another 15-20 pounds I am thinking of signing up for dance classes again. I miss it. And It was always so much fun! Keep up the great work , your stories and notes are definatly something I look forward to on a daily basis, I just wish some of us lived closer together! :) |

Hey gals, in class so not much time to post. But just wanted to say grats to all the ladies who have been losing!! Way to go!! One of these days I might actually get on track. ha. Good thing is ive been downing water like its no bodies bizznes. :) I don't think I am eatin enough now actually. at least the past few days its been really light.. Yesterday I went to the river, probably burned a few hundred cals. My arms are sore from swimming 2 miles LOL. Today I plan on cleaning up the house and getting on the treadmill for 30 mins. I think i am going through that headachy/tired/no energy stage of a diet. If i could lay in bed all day I probably would LoL. |

Evening Ladies! Well, I must be completely honest with you all and say I have been VERY bad these last few days. I thought I'd be able to get myself right back on track, but it is proving to be a thousand times harder than I thought it would be. I was soo nervous about this job interview I had today that lastnight i snacked on cookies and today ive had 2 slices of leftover pizza, 2 cupcakes and a ham and cheese sandwich. I have had 2 bottles of water and a glass of v8 (I love that stuff I dont care what ya say lol)Anyways I just feel FAT, and sick to my stomach for allowing myself to do that. I definatly am an Emotiona eater. I was dignosed with Bulemis last year, although I am not sure the doctor ever really knew what she was talking about.. half the time I couldn't understand hr ( shes russian) and most people around her think shes a quack.. anyways She explaiend to me that there are two types of bulemia.. overeaters, who binge at certain times, and under eaters who binge and make themselves throw up. I'm the first of the two. I can do great for a few days, and then have a meltdown and eat everything and ANYTHING in sight. *sigh* It's like i take 2 great big steps forward and then 4 giant steps backwards every other day. Not to mention the "low-cal" foods, and fruits & veggies are $$$, and Im pretty much living off of 40 a week for groceries. Lack of job..plus college = no funds. Good news thogh, I got the job. I'll be working as a Youth Care Worker for our local Juvenile Behavioral Center. I guess it's a step in the right direction. I don't start till May 5th though, so I reall yneed/want to step it up and lose 10 pounds by then. I hope I can do it. I need all the "shoulders to lean on" that I can get. I think I just need to get over this BIG hurdle, of self-doubt and LAZINESS..once I can do that I think I will be good to go. Again, i love reading all of your comments, and it is so hard to keep up but they do NOT go un noticed. They are definatly an inspiration. :) Hi Aeao :) Glad you decided to check out these ladies. i take that back. I weighed myself friday, i dont know why i thought today was sunday. especially since i said it was tuesday LOL.
But yeah I havent really been eating at all..but i had 4 kids over sat all day and night chasing them around.. fun stuff. man i need to learn to slow down when i type. I made so many errors in my last post lol. and i meant i AM ready to turn the radio up.. i said i wasnt. go me.

Hello again everyone! Not alot of time but just wanted to say i hope everyone had a great weekend( look sthat way from the posts ive read haha) I was in a pretty big slumop this morning, i told myself I was going to start excersicing monday ( since im on spring break) and its tuesday and I havent.. So after reading a few of yalls posts i got the courage to go check my weight ( ive had nothing to eat htis morning so far :/) and looky there ive lost 2.5 pounds since i weighed myself last. ( 2 days ago) Needless to say im not ready to turn the radio up and start cleaning and stuff. I know its only 2 pounds but that makes me feel good!!the only downer.. its says my target weight is estimated to be lost by may of 2010 WTH LOL. 100 pounds.. ick. Happy Friday Everyone! Grats to all of you that have been losing those unwanted pounds!! :) I am glad I don't annoy you with my noobie questions LOL. Good to know I can keep it up :) So the real workouts start Monday. Having the newphews and nieces over tomorrow for pizza and movies. I hardly ever get to see them. We are pretty well stocked with all the right foods, and I have even talked the BF in to walking with me 2 times a week. Im not planning on trying to squeeze in to any new clothes for the next 2 months, id like to b able to walk into the store and buy 2 sizes smaller than I am used to haha. Im really excited and REALLY nervous about the workouts, just because of my back. Just going to keep my head up, keep ice on it every few hours and take it easy the first week. Counting calories has turned out not to be as hard as i thought it would.! Its staying away from the boyfriends cookies that has lol. I made him hide them from me. I know thaT SOUNDS BAD but really, if i know they are there i will eat them. Im done with the going out and partying for the summer, lots of trips planned and i just want to enjoy it, save some money and focus on the weight loss. White water rafting in July, Virginia in June, and Rhode Island in June. Not to mention, sometime between now and end of june I'll be challenging the CNA Cert. Test so I can get a decent job while Im going to school. *DEEP BREATH* LOL. Gotta Love The Summer Though :) |

bootser1-All our prayers are with your grandmother!! I lost an Aunt to the lap band procedure a few years ago. Her body basically denied the foreign object and her liver shut down. She was maybe 100 pounds overweight.
My EX Step-mother had it end of last year. dropped 95 pounds in about 4 months. She looks good. But the diet you have to do prior AND after is very strict. i couldnt do it. I need food lol. She would tell me stories of how she would eat 2 bites of lasagna and throw up bc her body couldnt handle it. No thanks. I feel much better knowing if I work hard and stick to it..and get to my goal.. then maybe one day i canhave a WHOLE piece of lasagna and not feel bad for myself. :) Tomorrow is Friday!! ok apparently the cal burned in the blue window changes every few mins..bc i refreshed the page and its different now lol.
(bear with me yall im a bit of a newbie..ill get it one day)But still not sure why it would be so much higher than what ive entered in the daily activity log. Im up to 690 cals so far today.. so weird. dont hate me for being slow! LOL |

I am glad that someone else out there feels my pain! ( literally!) but hope it gets better for you. Mine stopped hurting for a good 2-3 weeks and has started back up again. *sigh* I WILL not have surgery unless it means saving my life. I do not want anyone going near my spine/and or spinal cord with any kind of sharp instrument. Nowdays You cant even trust some doctors! So I made the mistake of hanging out with a friend of mine today and devouring half a .99cent bag of chips and 4 Hostess sweet rolls.. OMGAH . I feel so bad for doing that to myself and i was just getting on the right track. I did stop myself and put whatever was leftover in the trash. NO THANK YOU. sonini- Im not sure if thats correct only bc, when i put the daily activity in it shows a total cal burned at the bottom..when I go back to my front page it in the little box it says almost 1k more than that. right now its saying 3197. When i add it up its only 2,137(as it shows when i enter in the daily activity window). And the Estimated ( the small number at the top of the box) says 4030 *confused* LOL.

Ok, Ok, Good Morning Everyone! I finally started keeping track of my food on here. Nothing fancy, but its a start. I read ( cant remember who posted it though) on here where someone was talking about a juice/fruit/veggie fasting thing for 3 days? Spring break is next week and I am thinking of doing that for the first 3 or 4 days and then picking up on my 1400 cal a day plan WITH excercise. I have been having some lower back problems, and its pretty much had me in the WORST pain I have ever been in. I know alot has to do with the weight, but I was seen by a chiropractor and I do have some lower nerves pinched.. ( having your toes go numb pretty much sucks)
Still amazed by all the great people on here. You guys are the ones who are keeping me coming back and logging in. :) Does anyone live in Florida?? Ok back to class stuff, hope everyone has a wonderful day. Its almost the weekend!!!
EDIT: Ok i think I figured out the calorie thing. It shows how many more cal i need to burn to reach my estimated daily calorie burn. Correct? |

I decided to jump on here again real fast, and was just floored by all the comments and posts since earlier. Learning how to manage calories/intake/outake ect is all completely new to me. I almost feel overwhelmed! Tomorrow I am going grocery shopping, and if anyone has any advice on new things to try please let me know. I even told my boyfriend hes in for a real treat, because I'm putting us BOTH on a diet LOL. Hes big into fast food and soda pop. And when your living on a college income, easy meals is usually the only way to go.and Buying seperate isnt even an option. But were gonna splurge a little and start eating better. I am not really sure how many calories I consume on a daily basis but honestly, I can probably estimate its over 2400. Thats me being completely honest. So I am cutting myself down to 1400, and we will see how that goes. Everything I have ever read has always stated that the first 48-72 hours is the most painful because you rbody is starving for what it's used to. Wish me luck getting through the weekend. I just joined today..I am 23 years old and weighing in at my heaviest (over 300) Im pretty much at a loss as to how I even allowed myself to get this big. In high school I was always really active, non stop go go going. After I met my current boyfriend a little over 4 years ago, and got introduced to Video games, lol, it slowly started packing on.Oh and I'm 6'2" .
