He's eleven now and hasn't had a breathing eppisode in almost four years. The doctors say thats because they have done a "wonderful "job of preventing an attack.  I say he's grown out of it so I pushed for him to see a pulmanologist and we'll have to wait and see what they say.

He's taken every one of those meds at one point or another and some of them are so dangerous but they often do need them.   There is no other feeling like feeling helpless when you realize your kid is having trouble breathing  it's awful.  I couldn't imagine having three children with the same illness I would be in a constant fit of anxiety lol

He had to have some baby teeth pulled because they got abscessed but the funny thing about that was they weren't even decayed.  The dentist said the roots just gave in.  HMMM very strange. Some of his adult teeth are literally crumbling as the appear they said it's because of the high fevers and constant use of antibiotics.

I never heard of RSV until he was in the hospital on a breathing machine.   He's one of the reasons I started studying medicine.  If a doctor bs's me I now know better.    How old are your kids mine are 17, 11,5  .      and your welcome I was so lonely when I was the one not knowing what to do to make him better and no one really understood.  SOOOO many sleepless nights .  I hope all your kids outgrow the asthma.

My mother in law told me he was fine that it was all made up by doctors I felt like suffocating her to see what she thought then.  My son would be there with his machine and she'd be smoking and talking to him.  We stopped going over there because they didn't believe any of it was real.

You take care.  let me know how she is

My son was sick from the time I brought him home from the hospital and all the doctors said was he had a cold so antibiotic after antibiotic it didn't get better. Then he came up with pneumonia that's when they checked for RSV.  Some doctors are so stupid. Poor baby couldn't take a step without gasping for air so he went to the hospital.  That is the scariest times.   Bronchitis is very scary. What meds is she on.  Albuteral prob prednisone no doubt,  what antibiotic?

My sons immune system was so bad that kid caught everything ( hoof and mouth,  fifth disease  weird rashes, hives )   it was due to the steroid he was on, it damaged his immune system.  now as a result of super high fevers and constant med some of his back molars are damaged and decaying as they're growing in.   I tell it's one thing after another once your a mom nothing is easy.   I hope your baby gets better soon ,oh yah and don't worry about your weight while she's this sick it wont even do you any good.    Smile   Take care.

Yah know, my teacher just told me something today that might help you.  You  see he is a marathon runner and ran in cold weather,   well any way he said a lot of runners don't know that the cold air perks up the nipples there by causing the cold shirt to create friction over each nipple.  he said it happens to men or women. a good remedy however, is to cover your nipples with vasoline before you run and wear a good tight bra.   I hope that helps.

just tell them that you don't like to indulge in fattening junk but that they should continue because it suits them.    Or say you have  more conscious thoughts of what goes into your mouth than most.  they'll stop asking

your little one is the same age my son was when he was diagnosed.   Has she been tested for RSV   if not it might be worth looking into.   A lot of doctors over look it because the baby may not have been at risk for it.  My son was carried to term and healthy until he was about a year old, thats when he would wake up in the middle of the night and couldn't breath.  The highest fever he ran was just under 106 degrees.  because he struggled to breath that caused his high fever.  A humidifier if very good also.  We found that mold of any sort set him off, and house hold chemicals and other things with bad smells.    I know how you feel I would sleep with him every night just to make sure he was breathing.   Even when you do sleep your not really because your listening for an exhale.

Does she have an ear infection?  my guy did,it was  on and off for three years.  i had vhim scheduled for tubes but a bout a week before I took him to a different doc got a diff. antibiotic and the ear infection hasn't come back since.   That was 10 years ago.  best of luck  with your baby dont worry to much or you'll get sick.

I developed them after I use amoxacillin, penicillin or any other cillin med. Also from body wash like dove.   That was awful.   Have you been sick?  On any meds?

Tell your mom they are usually your best friends when you need them to be, if she finds out your having sex so what everyone does it and if your young its part of growing up and becoming a smart adult.   Its just a fact that she'll have to deal with.

Some one mentioned acidophiles watch that stuff it really messed up my digestive system, it caused nausea, diarrhea and lots of other unpleasant things try yogurt.

For crying out loud,  don't have unprotected sex ever!!!

I agree with everyone else but you can do something for over the bra hang.  Bend elbow to the ceiling with weight in hand and than raise hand up and down but don't lower your elbow.   If you put your hand right behind your arm-pit being worked you can feel the muscles tighten.

For me a ten lb. weight exhausts the muscle after three reps of ten.   do each arm the same way so its even and don't lock out your elbow by straightening it.   hope that helps

just a few seconds before and after. also you might want to bend down and try to get you hands on the ground. Really any stretching before and after a run will relieve a lot of stress on your hamstrings etc..   I have the same pain but I can usually combat it with some light yoga.   Just stretch and relax

That is an awesome stretch MOM

It's usually done as a yoga practice.  In addition to all the other wonderful suggestions I'm going to suggest that you too try some yoga; it has done wonders for my stress levels, and my lower back pain.  The best part is you don't even have to leave home while your learning the poses and balances. Just watch a dvd.

The key to no pain is to strech and be flexible.  Good LuckLaughing

I think that if your salt is high the weight sticks around.  I noticed that once I watched my salt intake with the right protein, carbs, and fats I lost weight.

aren't you the same person who is eatin like  800 cal a day if so no wonder your havin problems everyone keeps telling you what you should be doing and you think you know better.  If your calcium levels and such are so low yor only causing yoiurself injury.  If  your body is eating the bones you should have osteoporosis in no time.   I get irritated with people who know what their doing is wrong but continue in spite of good sound advice.   You'll be sorry later for the damage your causing.  Try eating you know you should.

The Lounge Malpractice? Jun 10 2008

thats not true,   its there job to know what cancells what exspecially if there is only one Doc  prescribing the meds.   Doctors have to keep a record of what each patient is taking so she had to have known before prescribing them.  I think you have to be eighteen, though I don't know if it's different state to state.

I 've seen some Doc give a med knowing full well that it was more a plasebo than anything else.   They don't give a higher dosage or more intervals for a bad infection.  the antibiotic used depends on many things like type of infection, location, if prior meds were effective,  if it is a recurring infection.  Wikipedia though knowledgable I question the validity of that site.  meaning it's not as reliable as some believe.  People can but any random thing in there that they believ to be true when it's not factual.

the advice I've been given is to ignore the # below the burn meter because thst is what your body burns if you were like in acoma. the only # that matter are cal consumed vs burn meter. I usually tell my deficit at the end of the day when I reach my csl limit you should end up with a deficit of no more then 1000.  So if you eat what it says which is 1356 and minus that from 2100 you have a 744 deficit.

How many cal have you consumed up to this point? ( its like 3 o'clock ) Around this time of day I'm at around 500 b/c I like to save cal for dinner when I usually have chicken and loads of veggies.   It tells me to eat 1250 cal usually gives me 1000 deficit or if I eat a lil more I try not to let it pass 700.   just be patient its taken me a lil bit to get the hang of it but ifinally did and I've lost 8lbs or so, I try not to dwell on the #  but more the way I carry it.

not exactly sure but I think that gives you a deficit of 1116.   I think you subtract burn meter from how many cal you ate.

I too have a new pup. Your first mistake was using those pads . it only teaches the dog to use the pad inside so eveytime it sees it it's going to potty.  Throw them out or start placing them out side after she/ he has already gone on it.  It takes time but the pup will eventually get the hang of it.   I completely stopped using them when I realized that her sent was still going to be imbeded in my floors and  she kept going there.   I now keep her in one room where she is watched some times she oopss but she's is getting much better. Make sure you give lots of praise and atreat after the pup goes .    don't wait to give it though do it right away after it's done releaving. don't smack it either if has an accident cause it wont know what it's in trouble for after the fact. However if you catch it in the act scold it and bring it outside.  Until it's trained though don't put it out and leave for a while it will get bored and develope other bad habits like chewing ,digging also  it will only think it is play time and then come back in to pee.  hope that helps
