I have never been really able to eat them frozen but fresh... it is a whole different story. I am thinking of a cherry day - nothing but cherries all day long. Do you think I will turn red after that???? lol |

| Young Calorie Counters | how much difference do 10 pounds make to the butt and breasts?? | Jul 29 2008 21:19 (UTC) |

IMHO: it all depends on the size. (I mean your weight) I lost 45 lb and only now start noticing some progress(I am dropping from 246.5 lb), so if you are petite, 10lb will probably make a HUGE difference, on a person like me - I am almost 6 ft tall - it makes almost no difference or insignificant. |

30, married, no kids (just a dog MinPin :-) My lightest (in adult years) 155 lb, gained 90 lb when moved to the States from Russia. Started CC when I was at my heaviest 246.5 lb in April, lost 44.5 lbs so far. Very excited about hitting halfway mark in 2 lbs. My goal weight is to get back to or as close to as possible to 155 lb before X-mas. My husband's family is having family pics taken around X-mas and I want to look my best, plus next summer I am definitely buying bikkini! |

Good job on making the right choice. You should be proud of yourself. I struggle with cravings sometimes but I know if you just eat A LITTLE - one cookie, one piece of chocolate, etc, it makes a big difference. It is great and takes great willpower. Good job! |

My goodness!!! Guys! I have't been able to check the wewbsite for a couple of days and I was shocked when I did! Thank you all so much for your thoughts and nice words! You guys are great. If anyone ever asks me what community I'd rather belong to, I'd say: WEIGHT LOSS and MANAGEMENT! they are the most supportive ones. :-) I've never heard that many compliments in my life. As an update - no, I wasn't snooping around, I just happened to write on the same message board that he does and I just know the name and avatar he uses. SO I just ran into that comment. Second, I did talk to him about it. He was upset and begged me to forgive him. Well, it took a while but as some of you said: marriage is not that easy. It is a lot of work. If I were to leave him every time something happens, we'd be divorced about 199 times already :-) But I appreciate the comments about dumping him and stuff (I did feel like that for a while :-) About starving myself - I don't think so! It was just a moment thought, but I love food tooooooo much to do that to myself. And I am happy about myself. I am on the right track, I am loosing weight, exercising 6-7 days a week, I even started jogging and joining a 5k running/jogging class! I am happy! and being hungry doesn't make me upset, it makes me happy because I am burning some of that unneeded fat! Great feeling! I appreciate comments from guys as well. I haven't expected them to be that supportive. Thank you-thank you! WHen I am in shape - I'll buy this itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny yellow polka dot bikkini and will flirt with every guys in the pool! Here's my goal weight reward |

Original Post by eskimo_em: I seriously just have one. I mean one of carrots, one of grapes, one of crackers, etc, I also log them all in the evening for the next day, that way I know what I am eating and how much it is worth. And I do not overeat that way. |

Thank you again guys! I feel sooo much better after reading all these nice things you have to say. I guess dieting (plus PMS) didn't add any "niceness" to my behavior today and I just needed to vent. Just an update: my husband says he loves me no matter what and begged to forgive him. After a while I did (sigh) - I know I cannot be mad at him for a long time. Thanks, you are great and WE ARE ALL B-E-A-UTIFUL (Jim Carrey "Bruce Almighty") LOL |

| Foods | Is this meal so terrible? Help me estimate | Jun 14 2008 04:59 (UTC) |

ok, I had to go to Mexican restaurant yesterday with my friends and I feel you on that! I just tried to order what I felt like was the healthiest of all, asked them to hold the cheese, didn't have any dressing on my salad, split my portion in 3 parts (ate one and took 2 home - my husband was happy) and didn't eat any appetizer. I was proud of myself. I don't know what the restaurant you go to serves but you could use some of these tricks in any place. ask them for dressing on the side, no cheese (if possible), get grilled instead of other kind and NO CALORIES IN DRINKS! Drink only water. It is going to be hard to estimate and log the calories but at least you can try. Good luck with that. |

| Recipes | Low fat version of spinach and artichoke dip? | Jun 11 2008 01:39 (UTC) |

here's the one I make all the time and just LOVE it. 1 can each artichoke hearts, spinach and asparagus (drain and mash with a fork) 1 pack of FF or reduced fat cream cheese 1 cup or less of some other FF cheese (any kind will do but mozzarella works the best, I like cheddar though) any spices to your taste (I don't add salt, there's already enough in canned food) put in a dish, mix well, bake for 25-30 min, serve with chips or just eat with a spoon

| Weight Loss | I need to lose 155 lbs | Jun 05 2008 02:25 (UTC) |

Hello delia200 and welcome. I have to lose about 90 lb myself and I've lost 25 lb so far (for the last 2 months). I am very excited about it and I hope to stay on it for a while. As for your eating - I know, it is a big change of habits. try to plan your meals aheand and try to maybe plan 6 smaller meals a day or 3 regular meals and snacks in between. I do breakfast - usually 1 cup of cereal with skim milk and banana, then I have a snack - lite yogurt or fruit, then lunch - turkey lite sandwich or salad with chicken, then snack again before it is time for dinner. For dinner I try to eat either fish or chicken with vegies and some dessert (of course, low-cal - fat-free pudding, or fruit salad, or smth else), and then I have a lite yogurt or a cup of grapes or an apple as an after dinner snack. If I don't stick to this plan - I am lost. It works for me, but I think you just need to find your own way of doing that. Good luck and you can do it! It feels sooo much better when you achieve smth you've been aiming for.
