I took it as what GI said in that I have myself down as light activity and then I log my excercise.  That way, my calorie intake doesn't skyrocket.  According to this site I should be eating @ 2000 calories if I choose moderate activity.  I like having the lower calorie intake and adding on for the excercise I  do.

Well, my main job is sedentary I'm chained to a desk 95% of my work day.  It's a Monday-Friday 8-5 job in which I have 2 30 minute breaks and an hour long lunch every day.  I use my breaks to excercise.

Still think moderate?

Hello Jinda---added you!

I have heard wonderful things about Fiber One Cereal.  I'm actually going to buy some and I'll let you know what I think tomorrow.  I definitely think it's better to eat a good breakfast over any other meal!

All - I'm posting a forum topic in the health forum regarding colon cleansing.  Chime in if you have any experience with it!

This kind of thing happening doesn't make me question God.  But it does make me understand the power of the devil over our thoughts and actions.

I also don't condemn those who are non-believers.  Who am I to judge?  We are all sinners in some way.  I'm no better or worse just because I have faith.

Thanks Abbs.  I was starting to wonder where Jess went :)

O ~ I understand where you're coming from on not getting your hopes too high, but it's better to experience what love/lust has to offer, than to never know what it feels like at all!  Just stay positive and try to go with the flow.

My "Girl's Night IN"  went really well.  Everyone loved the chili I made and I did a good job of not over-doing it too much.  Glad we kept it simple.  But....there was the cheesecake thing....it called out to me....it was a-freakin-mazing!  I had a whole peice.  I don't feel bad about it though :)

Michael sent me a message last night on the way home asking if I was trying to not deal with him.  I don't know what to say to that.  He wants to just jump back into some kind of pseudo-relationship and I'm not sure what he thinks that's going to fulfill for me.  Let me tell you, I just love being used for sex!  It makes me feel sooooo special!!!   Cry  So, of course, I'm not going there with him.  What doesn't he get about that?  How could I possible be more direct? MEN!!!  Argh!

Trying to hop back on the bus ladies.

I made myself make lunch this morning so I wouldn't grab fast food.  Had a med. banana, some cottage cheese and apple sauce for breakfast.  Had an apple, 1/2 a turkey sandwich with romaine lettuce and cheddar cheese, as well as a lite yogurt for lunch and I'm having an orange @ 2:30 pm.  Tonight I'm having salmon, and a 1/2 a baked potato with cottacge cheese and steamed brocolli for dinner.  Not too bad.  I feel like I'm eating too much! But I know I'm not.  I'm doing 1550 cals.

Anyway, just a quick peek in to say hello and hoping for a litte encouragement to keep me on track.  If you have time, please leave a comment for me in my journal.  Thanks all!

I don't know if you'd call me a "Rent Head", but I remember standing out in the cold from 1am - curtain call 10 years ago with friends from college just to get the $15 front row tickets that Jonathan Larson made a requirement for his musical.  My friends and I were amazed and giddy afterwards when Nathan Lee Graham, who was portraying "Angel" cam up and gave us a  hug after the show and had his picture taken with us.  It was a blast!

I hear you on the lonely bit.  It's hard to ring in a new year alone; to spend Christmas alone.  I did it.  This year will be different, Liv.  You deserve the world, girlie.  J is only freaking out because he knows he can't have you anymore.  Losing a loved one causes grief, no matter whether they have died, or just chosen to end the relationship.  It seems as though J is on the 2nd stage of grief, but in my experience it goes back and forth depending on the day.  He just needs to complete the cycle, and move on.  Here are the 5 Stages of Grief:

  • Denial (this isn't happening to me!)
  • Anger (why is this happening to me?)
  • Bargaining (I promise I'll be a better person if...)
  • Depression (I don't care anymore)
  • Acceptance (I'm ready for whatever comes)

Hi girls.  Happy New YOU!

Life has been hectic to say the least, but I'm going ot try and be better about saying hello and commenting journals.

Does anyone know of any sites that calculate what you will look like at a lesser weight?  I know there is that one that does the avatar transformation, but I'm looking for something that will show a slimmer face, body, etc....  I know I'm probably fetching wind, but whatever.  Any ideas?

How was everyone's New Year?

The Lounge Anyone getting Strange messages in your inbox here on CC Dec 18 2008

DO NOT reply to her.  This is spam.  The reason she wants you to send a reply to her email on a regular .com site is because then they outsource your email address to thousands of spammers, and then you end up getting upwards of 50 emails a day from people all over the world.

I learned the hard way by accidentally replying to someone to tell them they reached the wrong person.  My inbox was inundated with spam mail within 2 days.

Basically, if you are receiving an email from an individual and cannot verify their domain, or a legititmate website (many have a "contact us" section) where you can identify the person as being associated with that website, it is SPAM.

Good luck!

Funny though.  In looking at the responses, I think there are people who are giving themselves pretty low scores.  I'm heavy, but I think I look pretty and fresh.  Some of you folks need to scrutinize less and see what I see when I look at your beautiful pics!

Well, upon reading the story...I'm not offended.  I am a Christian, and I do think it could have been worded better.  Perhaps...

"You don't have to believe in God, to believe in good.  Be kind, for goodness sake."

In reading the posts, I think there is definitely alot of hypocritical thinking amongst all people, PERIOD.  I don't see this ad as being directed soley towards Christians.  There are many different religions that believe in God.

I also see that the person who thought up the phrase for the ad is doing good for both atheists and believers in God. There is a discussion going on here.  Whether we agree or disagree, it gives us an open forum to bring up the subject and gain enlightenment from the views of others, as well as discover more about the depth of what we believe on a personal level.

Personally, I like to be reminded of difficult issues and made to think.  It helps me appreciate the differences in us all and develop a deeper appreciation for my own beliefs.

Hey P.  No, I haven't been to the doctor yet.  I know I should go, but I'm just waiting a bit to see if some different methods of relaxation will make my symptoms subside.  I've been looking at some meditation techniques and I started last night.  I've never meditated before, so we'll see!  I also just talked to K at my pt job and she said she may be able to get me the whole 4 days off!  Cross your fingers for me!

Good Morning!!!  I'm so excited that I"m starting to feel better!  I've had the flu the last few days and have been feeling like ****!

Anyway, going to find out how many vacation days my part time job will work with me on today and I hope it's at least 3.  I seriously need to relax.  If you've read my journals, you can see that I've been having dizzy spells and I think it's surely got to be fatigue induced.  So, I called my mom last night and let her know I was going to come down for a couple days!  Yay!

On the home front, I need to winterize the house and I'm a little stressed about it considering I don't really have time to do it.  Need to make a list.  That's where I'll start!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Thanks Vicki!  If we were closer in proximity, I'd love to pick up some mens!!!

On your bathroom comment, I actually did have a weird thing happen to me...Last year I hung out with a friend of a friend a few times and I was alone with him watching a movie.  I went to use the restroom and when I tried to open the door, it wouldn't open!!!  At first I tried to calmly get out, then fear crept up on me and I started banging on the door and screaming.  I seriously started to think he locked me in!  Then he came to the door with a screw driver and he professed how sorry he was and that sometimes the door gets jammed.  He was so embarrassed.  I was petrified.  There was not a 4th date, but that was more because I just wasn't into him and less to do with the momentary 'serial killer' vibe!

Ok. This may be a pointless post from me because I have no story. But WOW is the only thing I can say to your story. What an a-hole.

Yeah, I ran into him a few years ago and he just smiled and said I looked great.  It was weird.  I didn't really have anything to say.  I was with someone too and after that I had to tell him about it.  He said he's known guys that stupid before.  I used to think men were smarter than that.  I've learned my lesson! lol!

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!  Way to go!!!

I would put you at 45 but I'm guessing you're much younger.  I hope you don't want to thrash me for that....sorry :)

I also think that because of the way you dress, you don't look like you've lost much weight body-wise.  I can REALLY see it in your face for sure.  One thing that will help is to stop wearing pants that have an elastic waist.  It really does nothing for your body shape and you are 20 lbs smaller than me, so I know that you can really accentuate your waistline by switching to flat-front pants.  NO PLEATS.  Just because they have them at the department store, doesn't mean you should wear it.  The way I have learned to dress for my body type is by looking at the models on different plus size retailer's web sites.

Also, the right bra can do wonders for you as far as making the shape of your body look proportionate to your chest.  If you go to Lane Bryant, or Victoria Secret, they will give you a bra fitting. VS may not have as much of a selection as they usually only carry the smaller inch sizes, but they will still give you a bra fitting and tips.

Pretty much anywhere you go, you can find something that will look good on you.  You have to be willing to go outside of your comfort level and grab things off the rack that you would normally NEVER look twice at.  You'll be surprised how different things look on your body as opposed to a hanger.

I also agree with the hair cut.  The super long hair and bangs are dating you.  Take the time to go to a professional and spend a litlle $$$ on a consultation and a good cut.  After that you can go somewhere like Great Clips to maintain the style.

Good luck hot mama!

My family really doesn't exchange gifts anymore.  It's just too expensive and that's not what Christmas means to us anymore.

I agree with the above posts.  Having limited knowledge of the situation, and only your point of view to form an opinion from, it seems as though you are over-reacting.  While she has no right to infringe upon your relationship with your husband via email or otherwise, it would behoove you to keep your distance from this woman.  If your husband does not deal with her appropriately, it will only make you look like the "Psycho" in the situation if you confront her.

Your B-I-L's wedding isn't about YOU. It's about him and his new wife.  Honor yourself by honoring their day.  Do not make yourself look like a stark-raving fool by letting her grip you in her fist of drama.  Rise above it and as Cassrd05 stated...Kill 'em with kindness.

I only read the 1st page of responses so I hope I'm not being redundant.

I'm a Christian and I don't think there is anything wrong with being a Wiccan or Pagan.  I only worry when people are being cruel/unkind/harmful to others.  In the Bible, there are plenty of things that I don't agree with.  Just like in any religion, there are things that I think "man" slipped in.  That is were the "sin" as we say is found.  I think that as long as we treat others the way we want to be treated, why should anyone judge us?

As far as where to find info on Wiccan beliefs, I would say visit a book store and find a comfy chair and a nice cup of coffee with your name on it.  There is a great place here in KC called Aquarius that specializes in things of religious nature such as Pagan religions.  It's a really fun place to explore.

I read this book right when it was first published.  I definitely needed to hear what it said at the time.  It did help me to end the relationship that I was in.

I will also say that it also left me very discouraged.  It seems that according to the book, every single thing a man does says "he's just not that into me".  So, how are you ever supposed to find someone?
