your probably both right and  it probably does use up a lot a lot of calories. anyway im not complaining :)!

and no im not trying to lose anymore! i usually hover around the 120 mark but i dont weigh myself too much (i used to weigh myself constantly and got a little neurotic so now i just do so every couple of weeks)

i'm quite a beginner too so i spent quite a bit of time walking! soo much fun though have a brilliant time in brazil kaffwynn! i live in the uk and we have some quite good spots nearby (although a bit cold!) and my family does it - i just cant wait to be doing tricks out there! good luck with it :)

Fitness holiday worries/... Jul 27 2008
22:29 (UTC)

i just got back from portugal a little over a week ago and it's really not too hot in the evenings in fact one evening i was cold with a cardigan on! but if it's a holiday its quite nice to take a break from excercise anyway and if your still sticking to your healthy diet i doubt it will effect you too much!

have a lovely time :)

completely! but when i have had a work out i always feel so much better afterwards, especially if i've eaten unhealthily that day as i don't feel guilty then. excercise definitely puts me in a much better mood so i just tell myself i will feel better afterwards and soon i will look better as well. :)

thankyou so much for the replies it's lovely having some support

uberman your experience has helped me a lot and i'm going to get in contact with the college this week about it all. it's so hard to decide but maybe i should just do it for myself and not just go the place for my friends when most of them i verrry much doubt i'll stay friends with. i need to be confident and just go for it! and i definitely won't hold grudges- i'm not going to talk about it with them as the friendship seems to be coming to an end without an argument which i would most definitely rather not have

thankyou again :)

i don't very often but it's nice to have a good cry sometimes you feel like it's a new start even if your a bit drained afterwards.

sometimes really happy things or really nice things people have done that you see on tv make me cry? you could try thinking of those types

or maybe like other people suggested watch a sad movie?

Fitness how much excercise Jun 14 2008
11:16 (UTC)

i go to curves gym which is mainly toning excercises and i go for half hour-3/4 hour sessions and i am starting yoga on monday which is an hour per session! i also want to get into jogging as i want to do variety of excercise. if i did one of those excercises mon-fri would that be a reasonable amount or too much or too little?

i just never know how much to do! last year i over-excercised a little i think so i'd like to try and get a good balance

any examples of what you do would be great

thanks!

lots of response wow

well i go to curves gym about 3 times a week normally (although i've just finished exams so haven't had time to go whilst they've been on because of revision!) and i'm planning to start jogging (try to anyway). i also walk quite a bit.

there seems to be a lot more good responses than bad so hopefully i will enjoy it! i have a tendency to get quite stressed out and worried about things so taking a bit of time out will be veryyy nice!

i go to a curves gym and i really enjoy it. it's great fun and i do feel more toned -  i haven't lost any weight but i'm at a healthy weight so i don't really expect to and i haven't changed my eating habits. it definitely has improved my fitness as i was ill for 3 weeks so didn't go and when i went back i really struggled but after being back at the gym for about a month my fitness has definitely built up again and i can do more repetitions on the machines.

i agree that it's not that challenging, but you work as hard as you want to and you can always keep going for more than 30 minutes!

it's good fun and you feel more comfortable because it's just girls. you could always go and try it out first and see if you enjoy it if they will let you!

:)
