I am with you girl! I am in the same situation prectically. I lose some weight over the summer and I was doing really well, and then all of a sudden I got to college (I'm a freshman by the way) and BAM, 6lb in 1 month! I couldn't belive it. And you know how campus food is all cafeteria style? Well all the people i eat with eat EVERYTHING, pizza and chicken, pasta and potatoes, all at once! And so if I go get my salad i just feel unsatisfied. And also it seems like everytime we go out we end up in buger king at 2 in the morning cuz its cheap and the only place open, so I end up eating even if I'm not hungry. I'm so glad tomorrow's Monday because I really want a fresh start, I'm trying to lose 15lb by Thanksgiving, but its soooo much harder than it looks. I don't even know what happened, it was like the weight was just falling off during the summer, and now its back, and wont budge! Well, lets help each other out! Stay motivated right? |

Thanks guys for all the support. It helps me to feel accountable for excatly what i'm eating, and so I don't eat any of the really bad stuff. But so far so good...I made it through the greater part of my first day of healthy eating...now lets just hope I make it through dinner (and dessert) without too many casualties! |

UGH so I weighed myself yesterday..and I'm 184 when just a month ago I was 178! What a disaster! I'm a freshman in college, and I've only been here for about a month, and I've gained 6lb!!! How gross...talk about freshman 15...more like the freshman 30! Anyway i'm just really really glad today is Monday, because I plan on a new healthy eating plan. The problem for me usually is when I have to go eat in the dinning hall. I mean my room is stocked with healthy snacks, and actually I don't even snack at all, but when i eat in the dinning hall I can seem to stay in control. Of course, its all buffet style and the have EVERYTHING you could ever want to eat on a given day. I just dont know what is ok to eat, and what's not. Anyway, so hopefully this week goes much much much better then the last. I originally said my gaol weight was 160 by Thanksgiving, but now I think I'm pushing it. We've got 8 weeks which means I could reasonably lose 16-20lb right..well maybe it isn't too far fetched...keep me on track guys! |

I knew there was a word for it, I'm definitely a social eater. When I go out with friends I'll tend to eat even when I'm not hungry. I'm going to take you're advice and start talking SERIOUSLY about my weight loss goals to EVERYONE, and if they are really my friends, I'm sure they'll help me out. |

That's a great idea because we are both eaters and both need to lose weight, however, when we go out I remind her to make healthy choices but she just blows it off and eats whatever, and before you know it...there goes my diet! Lol. I know I need to be stronger in my own choices, and she obviously has some things to work out, so getting out of the kitchen all together is probably the best idea. |

Hi there, I'm 18 years old, 5'7 and about 190 lb. I been struggling with my weight for about five years now and have recently just shed 10lb. I really get discouraged when I have a bad week, and I think it would be helpful if I had someone to hold me accountable. I try to eat like 1500 cals and I go to the gym 3 times a week so far. Like I said, I just started trying to lose weight, mostly because I bought a size 12 dress that I need to get into and right now im a size 16! Anyway, I know we may be on different walks of life right now, but I hope that we can do this together. I'm looking to lose 40-50lb, so we have a few things in common. Let me know what you think. OH, and congratulations on your weight loss so far! |
