I grew up with cottage cheese and/next to spaghettios.  It's such a weird combo, but cold cottage cheese and spaghettios is delicious!

20g sugar per 100g of cereal..... 'organic evaporated cane juice syrup', 'honey', 'evaporated cane juice crystals' ....  that's a lot of sugar.....

Ok... one serving is 30 grams. So, of course, more than 3 servings will make the sugar content high!!

What are they?

From the website it says:

“Our recipe, which is based on one we used to make at home, is filled with our delicious organic raisins and sweetened with organic molasses. These spicy, chewy cookies are said to have originated in Colonial New England. One theory is that hermits were named for their long keeping qualities—better when hidden away like a hermit for several days. I doubt if these will last long enough to hide.”

They're a really soft cookie that has a nice molasses zing to them.  They're soooo delicious!

I want the general idea of how I'm doing.  I don't need to know exact exact amounts.  Again I'm only 23 and just trying to maintain.

well, an easy way to do it...WITHOUT A SCALE...which is a great idea if you're the obsessive type so don't feel bad...the key is consistency regardless of how precise it is. for example, if you were to eat 10 cherries every single day and you thought they were 50 calories but they were really 75, it wouldn't matter in terms of maintenance as long as you always counted them as 50 calories because when it comes time to adjust the reference point is accurate. it's like a scale that is inaccurate but it still tracks your progress if that's the scale you ALWAYS weigh on. you still can follow the trendline...anyway

so if you know that you bought 5 pounds of apples and there were 10 apples total then each apple is about 1/2 of a pound or 224 grams...which is a bit over 100 calories. does that make sense?

don't get a scale if it makes you uncomfortable, it is really unnecessary and successful maintainers don't all have scales so clearly it's not essential!!

Thanks for understanding! Smile!

...Don't have a scale, nor do I want one...

Maybe not, but the only way to do a job right is with the correct tools.

Yes, but I'm already crazy enough with all of the counting I do at 23.  Adding a scale into everything will not be healthy for me.

With wine, its something like 650 calories a bottle, which is generally better than beer.  Still not on par with the equivalent in alcohol of vodka, which is probably closer to 420 calories (paired with Diet Coke to make it semi-palatable).

Actually wine is generally a little less than 500 calories per bottle.

There's usually 4 6oz glasses of wine per bottle.  On the yellow tail website it says that a 6oz glass of cabernet is 120 cals.  A bottle is generally around 500 calories.
