New Members add food to previous day? May 07 2008

when you click on the link to update your food log, scroll down just a bit and you will see where it shows date range - just click where it shows "today" and you get a drop down menu for yesterday, last 7 days, this month, etc.  click on yesterday if that is the one you need and then you can add your entries. Just always be sure that it is the correct date that shows up as you are putting your food info in.

I just bought a bottle of slimquick w/hoodia from Walmart for only $19.88.  There was 25% more in the bottle so instead of 60 pills I got 75.  First week you are to take one pill in morning and one pill 6 hours later. Second week and on you are to take 2 pills in morning and 2 in afternoon.  All the Slimquick producst at Walmart were under $20.

Not sure what "cups" you are talking about; didn't see anything with cups - it was all pills or the powder for drink bottles and they clearly state whether they have hoodia or not.

Hey Steph:

WElcome to CC+ .  My name is Trish and have been here since March 14.  I am 5'3" tall, started out at 163 and am down to 157.5.  I am a stay at home wife, no transportation of our own so excuses for me are easy to make. I have a treadmill in my bedroom and my husband was ready to get rid of it because it just took up space.  We talked and made a deal - I will use it at least 5 days a week and if by the end of the year there is a difference to warrant keeping it, then it will stay. If after making all the eating changes and exercise changes there is no significant difference, we will get rid of it with no hard feelings (I got it for free).  I am in early stages of menopause and am 51 years old so taking the weight off is not so easy.  But I refuse to give up this time - I keep thinking of the clothes I used to wear, I was happy with my body, etc.  I went from drinking a ton of mountain dew morning to night to just two a day at the most.  Changes can be made, you are more than welcome to add me to your friends list and we can keep in touch.  I have so many small health issues and the more research I do on things, I know I have to make some type of change. I am not considering this a diet but rather a healthy change of life.

until somebody actually goes to check it out I can't be sure that it is set up correct...

another thing you could do with the prepackaged foods is take all the info right from the box and put that into the small form on the daily food log.  I have done that for several things that don't show up in the list and if it is something you have on a regular basis you could tag the item and next time you have it, just go to your tagged items, click on "add it again" and it will put it into that days foods and just click add to food log...

Good Morning Ladies:

I trust we are all doing well this somewhat dreary Monday morning?  I have been added to a few friends list and have done the same.  Please feel free to message me anytime and I will be here.

As of this morning I have now lost 5 pounds in two weeks and that gives me motivation to once again push harder this week.  I admit I have not used the treadmill  yet today but will use it later. I have done more around the house in way of moving around so that will help out.  I made a batch of tuna mac salad for the week.  I had a slim fast shake for breakfast, on my 2nd bottle of water and had some fruit for morning snack.  Lunch will be the bigger meal for me as hubby and I both decided to eat our bigger meals during the day and eat light at night/dinner.  With just the changes I have made on my own on a daily basis I am pleased with the weight loss.  I know it is slow going but they say the slower you lose, the more likely to keep it off and that of course is my primary goal - I want the weight gone but it did not get put on overnight and certainly won't come off overnight - it is nice to dream though LOL

well as I said, anybody on my list PLEASE feel free to message me....

we CAN do this and we WILL do this .

one thing I have found helping me is to hold myself accountable for what I put in my mouth.  I not only log it on here each day but I also have a notebook that I keep with me - that way if we are out of the house for awhile and happen to want to stop someplace - I know roughly where I am at with numbers and what I can do.

I have only been with CC+ for two weeks now and just making my own food changes.  I can't stick to any specific daily diet plan because I have to be able to buy food each week that both of us can eat. so instead of totally changing things, I have just changed the way I eat what we have - I have specific portion sizes, changing to healthier versions of some things as I can, drinking more water and getting on the treadmill at least 5 days a week.  In the first week I lost 3.5 pounds and this week I have dropped a pound so far and still have the weekend to get thru.

Foods Eggs vs. Eggbeaters Apr 25 2008

my husband switched to egg beaters for breakfast every day and he loves them.  He only has omelettes with them as trying to make scrambled eggs with them is much different texture.  But for omelettes they are great.  The price of eggs anymore is not much cheaper then buying egg beaters unfortunately.  It is just a matter of taste, preference and what each individual is looking for.

ok I have a question.  When I entered all my info on CC it told me my calorie intake should be 1056 but everything I am reading it saying that is way to low...slim fast had me at 1200 based on same info.. how do I know for sure exactly what my calorie intake should be?

btw, welcome Kimberly :-)  you will love it here I'm sure...

Hi Jaynee; hope you don't mind but I took the liberty of adding you to my friends list. Losing weight now is no picnic at all that's for sure but I do not want to give up and am going to try as hard as I can.......

thanks Claire; as a rule of thumb I do not add salt to anything I am cooking anyways so that is no problem.  Have been looking into trying the whole grain pasta to so that is on my list for this weekend...

thank you much

I would be mixing it with a daily exercise routine - just like I do anything now - changes work better with more calories burned and that means more than just me sitting watching tv

I saw the new SlimQuick with Hoodia advertised today; I am kind of wanting to try one of the SlimQuicks now that I am finally changing my eating habits, drinking more water and using the treadmill for more than a paper weight. I would be curious as well if anybody has any feedback on and of the SlimQuick products.

when I signed up with CC they put me at 1056 calories a day and slim fast has me at 1200 a day to lose what I want to and based on the info I put in....I have been staying in between the two numbers and lost 3.5 pounds last week (which was my first official week of any changes)...

I don't know where I am actually supposed to be as far as calorie intake so just watching what I do - going by serving size as much as possible, drinking a lot more water than I used to and cut down to one dew a day and exercising on my treadmill...

Hi Lis:

I took the liberty of adding you to my friends list - you are my first official friend Smile

I look forward to sharing the ups and downs with you.  I was told well over a year ago that I was peri-menopause and now have not had a monthly for about a year so am guessing maybe I am in menopause - who knows LOL I still have some of the monthly symptoms but that is as far as it goes.

I have one son who will be 28 next month; even after I had him I was ok weight wise then all of a sudden it just all hit and got out of hand.  I am 5'3" and as of this morning I weigh 159.5 with a long road ahead of me for where I want to be.  It is just my husband and myself home and just one income so I can't make major food changes and have it easily fit in our weekly budget; so instead, I still work with what we have - adding a lot more salads and fruits and water and when I can't make changes I am very strict with myself on staying within the serving size and that is it.

I not only log my progress on here but I also have a book that I mark everything down it - holding myself accountable I think is helping a lot as well.  I have no friends around here so no type of workout buddy to keep me going; I have a friend in TN so we are doing a long distance motivation but that has been it.

I also do not expect to win any beauty contests or anything like that but I want to be happy with myself and to better my health.

Well feel free to drop me a private message anytime yu want to; I am a stay at home wife, so am logged in on here all day long

I'm 51 years old, 5'3" and started this week out at 163.  My goal also is to get down in the 130's at least.  Growing up I could never get over 110 and even when I had my son 28 years ago I only gained 26 pounds.  Then I woke up one day and there it was LOL

Would love to join the 160's club if that is ok....
