Young Calorie Counters Confused about Stomach && Back Nov 26 2009

I've always had the dimples, but I find you can see them more when I've been working my lower back muscles or when I'm at a low (for me) weight. Try Sun Salutations! I noticed a differene after a few days.

My tummys the same Undecided But like kendra_a said, girls just have a layer of fat over our tummies, and as much as we might want it gone, itll never go away. Part of the whole being the carriers/bearers of life deal... Don't worry about it "jiggling"; everybody jiggles, its part of being alive :P Confidence is stunning in a bikini.

  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 cup brown rice
  • green beans, peas, corn or other veggies

i fry the riuce so its crispy in olive oil wiht the veggies, and then pour the eggs over top... very veeeery good, except when i put salt on, but salt makes it so muh better!

you have nothing to be worried about, really :) i had all four of mine taken out a week before school started, and it was all good.

you WILL be off with the fairies... i was on 3 painkillers; i was so out of it i couldnt walk on my own for a bit. actually, after i woke up (i had an iv; its the coolest feeling as it kicks in, the ceiling started to swirl and when i said "whooooa" it slowed down, my dentist laughed) i was so loopy i screamed at people & terrifed some kid at mcdonalds... i only know this thorugh witness accounts...

just make sure to stay ahead of the pain. you may THINK you dont need another painkiller... YOU DO!!! AT LEAST until the fourth day

good luck :) oh, and ttry oatmeal once youre ready to move your jaw. its very satisfying after icecream :p

Fitness More weights= More Calories to eat? Oct 15 2009
04:34 (UTC)

i'm not tryin to lose weight right now; im not even weighing myself, rather go on the whole how-your-clothes-fit thing. its jsut i've been eating at "starvation" for a long time, so i'm trying to adjust my system to more, without just throwing like 1000 extra calories.

thanks :)

don't think about seeing people you know!! its the biggest waste of time, and a horrible excuse for not going out and having a good time, IMO. i used to be terrified of running around my neighbourhood in case i saw anyone (and i live literally a minutes walk away from my highschool; someones always around) or going to the gym at certain times because i was intimidsated by skinny/muscular girls there. IGNORE THEM. just tell yourself they're not even looking at you, and pretty much they never are :) we're pretty self absorbed as people right :P

tennis is fun, although frustrating when you cant hit the stupid ball... swimmings great, always :) bikings great too, it tones your legs like no tomorow andworks abs too :)

" if she's asking for it then any age because clearly she's thinking about sex and it's better to keep her safe than to try to force abstinence on her."  - chrissy1988 (oct 13,2009)

i disagree... lots of girls ask because it helps with acne, and regulating your period. i used to have ridiculously heavy, long periods, and the pill is geared towards helping wiht that.

i didnt need to ask for bc; my mom freaked out and put me on it as soon as she found out ihad lost my virginity a month ago. its scary to ask your mom about it, and i think if your daughter asks, you should realize shes going to have sex eventually, and as long as shes not like 12 or soemthing, and its better to support her and help her protect herself than wind up with grandbabies with AIDS.

(i dont know if this replys to everyone or not)

thanks for answering :) i'm trying to up to 1400-1500 for the next few weeks, and then hopefully 1800 ish (based on the info from the BMI link) or more (training for a half marathon soon :D :D)

really really appreciate your replies. its easy to forget sometimes that i'm still actually not a grown-up, no matter how much i feel like i am, and to jsut chill out and be good to me.

Young Calorie Counters To what extent are you girls influenced by models? Oct 13 2009
01:29 (UTC)
6

i dont think anyone can say they havent been influenced a LOT by models... we see them everywhere, its hard not to compare yourself. its what we do as humans... Victorias Secrets models are the most 'realistic' i think... obviously not girl next door, but they do have achievable body types. it'd just take a toooon of work. I'd rather look like Marisa Miller, or Britney Spears than Ana Carolina Reston (a brazilian model who died of complications of anorexia in 2006).

Its just hard to remember that when you go to a dance/soccer/hockey focused highschool, and you do none of those things :P

Thank-you  :)

Just checking: Eating at a deficit is when theres a difference between how much you burn and how much you eat, right?

Proteinwise: I'm eating around 80 g of protein ( i have whey protein powder). I dont think i can eat eggs, unfortunately, becayse they have lactose.  My biggest porblem is that i loooove dark chocolate ;)

eat the cake!! or, just have a slice or two and let other people enjoy it too. My philosophy is that we live in a privileged country; if you have a craving, you can always make another cake or buy one.

I have the same problem, especially with granola, cheerios & frootloops. The best way, ive found, is to measure out a serving according to the box, take an extra spoonful, and look at the bowl. Memorize how much is in there, and put the box away, maybe even in a different spot.

passions_child - sorry, i meant "small", according to the fingers-around-wrist measuring. Maternally they are short, and simply eat too much, or they would be very slim people. Paternally they are all ~6 ft.+ (even the women) and develop muscle easily.

Thanks everyone for your comments and help. I'm going grocery shopping today , and my goal is to be comfortable with 800, then 1000, and 1200.

I dont run with or without a pack, but when i walk home from the gym, it weighs me down as well. Try putting in a pair of shoes, or a water bottle, and packing a towel or two around it to hold it in place.

I ahve the same issue! Mine is more about the fact that i dont want to smell other people & they shouldnt want to smell me, also that they glare at me (im assuming cause i'm 30 years younger than them?) Its like, really, you have ALL this equipment available, and you've GOT to buddy up beside me? Its tempting to jsut push them off and yell NO like they're a bad puppy.
