i'm 19, 5' 5", 138lbs, 35/27/40. my goal weight by the end of the summer is 125 lbs, and i'm hoping to shed a lot of my pear shape and get down to around 35/26/37.

thankfully i only fell victim to the freshman five this year instead of the full fifteen. i'd like to tone up though and develop good exercise habits so that i can continue them when i go back to school in the fall. i'm considering making a goal when school starts to lose another 5 lbs to bring me down to 120, but we'll see how things look by then. any fellow college students looking for support to ward off the evils of dining halls and junk food?

I'm at 138 as of this morning (2 lbs down), and I feel like this plan is a much more realistic one than I have had in the past. First of all, I actually have a GOAL weight, instead of just saying "I want to be skinnier." Second, in the past I would basically eat very little during the day so that I could splurge during the night, which worked for a while, but eventually led to me splurging more and more throughout the day, until my healthy habits had gone completely down the drain. This time, I'm balancing my intake throughout the day, and especially making sure I get enough water.

For those of you having a tough time, the next time you are making a food choice, think about the body you'll have 3 months from now if you stick to the plan. Don't think of the change in your diet as restricting, but as liberating. And you should by no means stop indulging in the good stuff altogether, but make it a special treat instead of an everyday binge. Over time, you'll find you can enjoy savoring just one piece of chocolate or one cookie instead of speedily downing a dozen.

Well, I weighed myself this morning, and I'm still at 140! So no weight loss this last week, but no worries either. I will call last week my "adjustment week," and now it's time to kick this thing into high gear. I still feel a lot better from eating so much less dining hall junk. I've got two weeks left of school, so my goal is to finish the quarter strong (amidst finals and end of year celebrations) and immediately continue the good eating and exercise habits when I get home to avoid sinking into a lazy summer funk.

Currently, my measurements are 36-29-40; along with my goal of 20 lbs, I hope to be somewhere in the area of 36-26-36

hey girls! i'm just finishing freshman year as well and would like to shed the dining hall pounds i have gained this year, plus some more. I am 5' 5", 140, and would like to be at 125 or 120. my main goal this summer is to get rid of the love handles that i never had until coming to college, and finally slim down my hips. i'm also into swing dancing, so i want to build up my cardio endurance so i can just dance dance dance! good luck to everyone!
