| Weight Loss | Getting married? | Aug 10 2008 20:46 (UTC) |

I'm coming in super late... however I'm getting married December 5th (yikes! only 3.5 months to go) and I started out around 148 (my dress was a size 12 and fit perfect) now I am down to 129-132 and plan on losing another 8-10 pounds. I've been CCing and working out 4-6 days a week since mid April. The past 3 weeks I have really slacked off but I just started over today. I am now in a size 6 dress and it feels WONDERFUL but I want to be in a 4! Good luck to you and I hope everything works out. Weddings are great motivation to get healthy. :-) |

| Weight Loss | How often do you jump on the scale? | Jul 09 2008 01:44 (UTC) |

I have been CCing since April and I weigh myself every single day sometimes 2 or 3 times a day to gauge about how much I gain in water a day. Some people will call this obsessive but it works well for me. I need constant reward and motivation and seeing that scale go down even a little each day keeps me on track. I also know whether or not I need to cut back on food a bit or keep on the same path. :-) |

Thank you so much for the advice and the compliments :-) The dress is already going to cost a small fortune to alter.. my mom was not pleased. LOL. When I bought it, it needed almost nothing done to it, now it's falling off. I would really really like to be at 124, that is my goal weight and I don't think I can be fully happy until I get there. To be honest it's not hard to maintain 135 ( I did it for 3 years) and I am very sure I will be keeping up my 5-6 day a week workouts for a long time to come, I just love to workout. I think it might not be so hard to maintain 124ish when I get there because I eat whatever I like for the most part, I don't deprive myself anything, I just eat small portions and CC. This has really taught me to read the label and pay attention to what I am putting in my body. After losing 16 pounds in 8 weeks I can't see myself stopping now but I appreciate the advice! :-)

| Weight Loss | What size do you dream about! | Jun 15 2008 01:29 (UTC) |

My dream size would be a 2 but I don't know if that will happen... I'm currently 134 and 5'2 and I wear a 3 to a 6, I actually bought a size 3 pants the other day and I almost died! I'm sure it's just the manufacturer but whatever I take what I can get. My shirts I'd like to wear a small ALL the time, I am about 90% of the time now but I want 100% of the time! |

| Weight Loss | 5'2 ladies, what size are you? | Jun 10 2008 01:31 (UTC) |

Thanks for the replies so far girls! I tried my dress on a few weeks back and it was much much looser, I just can't believe that 15 pounds can make that much of a difference. It made me feel good to hear that it's not just me! |

| Weight Loss | What sizes do you wear? | Jun 10 2008 01:04 (UTC) |

I'm 5'2 and 133 pounds Shirts - small or medium (used to be a large because I had a 34DD chest now down to 34C) Pants - 4 or a 5 depends on the pants I guess I am a small frame? I'd say I lean more towards medium because I am very muscular |

Thank you all for the replies! I am going to try and keep my calories around 1500 for the time being and see if I can get over this plateau. Hopefully my temporary weight gain will be just that and I'll start losing again soon. The info on the lean body mass was very helpful! I eat mostly veggies, lean meat protein, and fruit my fats come from almonds and olive oil for the most part. I try to stay away from white bread and rice only brown rice and aunt millies healthy goodness 5 grain light bread. Lately, I have been craving sugar (which I do not normall eat at all) but suddenly that's all I want. I'm trying very hard to only have a little bit, I think my body is trying to tell me something but I don't know what. Once again I appreciate the advice :-) Everyone is so helpful! |

Haha it probably does... I just haven't gotten around to opening it yet was trying to cook a lowcal dinner instead. Geez I wish I could have only spent $45, where in the world did you get it from? I haven't seen the F4's brand new in store for less than 90. What is the difference between all these models anyway? |

| Weight Loss | 5'2"ers, what are your maintenance calories? | May 30 2008 00:59 (UTC) |
10 |
I'm 5'2 and not yet on maintenence however CC told me that with my exercise and weight I will hopefully be at 120 - I should eat 1700 -1800 to maintain. I have a very vigourous workout schedule which I intend to keep up so I would say it really depends on a number of different factors. :-) |

| Weight Loss | how many calories do you think I burned? | May 29 2008 03:43 (UTC) |
1 |
yes but it is very difficult to do it in the database because there is so much interval training and I just wondered if someone who knew more about the calories burned during those activities could help me. The CC said I burned around 750 calories today... I don't know about that. |

| Weight Loss | Started Alli today... | May 28 2008 01:29 (UTC) |

Lillysmom - i thank you very much for your concern, I have been through many diet pills before and I get tired of them very quickly, this one just seemed different. I am sorry to hear it didn't give you the results you wanted. I have been doing it on my own and I will continue to do so, trust me I am pretty much becoming obsessed with everything body/food related. I work out 6 days a week and I am really really trying hard. My body just doesn't want to cooperate with me. I was hoping I could take this stuff as an added boost - not as an end all be all "magic pill". I liked the idea that it can help you lose a little more than you already would. I am only trying it for 20 days because I do not want to spend money nor become dependent. One again thank you for your concern and the support :-) I hope I don't get the unlucky side effects! haha

I'm in - if that's okay with everyone else? I am getting married December 5th and I am going in for my first dress fitting August 1st so I need to be at my goal weight by then. I was already aiming for that date so this shouldn't be a big deal. I need to lose 15 more pounds. Just started Alli today along with a low-fat and low sodium diet. I do not drink any pop (havent for 6 years) and I do not eat fast food. I measure all my food and only eat the serving size of everything. This is my workout schedule - Mon, Tues, Fri - A.M. workouts 40 mins of HIIT training intervals (elliptical & treadmill) and 20 mins of lifting/circuits ... Wednesdays & Thursdays - 50 min step aerobics class, 8in step, high impact, Saturdays - Bootcamp class for 60 mins in addition 2-3 30-45 mins walks with my dog a week I am eating no more than 1500 calories a day I've already lost 14 pounds since beginning of April but was eating and working out less. 5'2, 23, CW 134 pounds, 21%BF ... GW 120-124, 17-18% BF. LETS DO THIS! Are weigh-ins on Tuesdays?

| Weight Loss | I'm lost - need help please! | May 24 2008 19:01 (UTC) |

Haha I guess I should have clarified - I have been counting and working out for over a month at this point, I'm down 14 pounds since the last week of March. I'm stepping up my workouts because I'm in a bit of a plateau and I know I needed to do more. I would like to lose about 1.5 pounds a week and I am just worried because I was told by the exercise physician that did my body fat analysis the other day that its going to be very very difficult for me to lose another 10-15 pounds because I am very well muscled. She classfied me as an "athlete" for my activity level so I was just wondering if I should change my setting from light to moderate on CC. Thanks for an help you can give! |

| Weight Loss | Care to give measurements?? | May 18 2008 01:49 (UTC) |
6 |
I just took my measurements for the first time in a long time.. so I am going off what I believe my wedding dress measurements were back in Sep. when I ordered my dress: Bust: Was, 37-38... now 34 1/2 (went from a D-DD to a 34C) Waist: Was, 31ish... now 28.5 (dying for it to be 25-26) Hips: Was 40ish... now 37.5 That is since September but I know I gained weight between then and when I started CCing. When I began this it was end of March and I was 5'2 146-148, now I am 5'2 135... 10 more pounds to go!

Haha, I wish my fiance even cared about his weight and mine doesn't notice what I eat at all :-) I'm glad I could be of service to you, I am in no way the know-it all but what I'm doing seems to be working. I want to check out that website it sounds awesome, I need something like that to keep me motivated and your workouts sound great. Lifting is my favorite thing because I always feel so powerful afterwards. It gives me a good rush but I in no way want to be a bodybuilder or anything. Good luck with your weight loss and I sincerely hope you get to where you want to be! You can do it just stick with it and I swear eating less gets easier :)

Hey glad you got the scale!! I don't pay attentiont to the fat thing either as the OP said because it's just not right but I do pay close attention to the water, i'm supposed to be around 50-60% water. As for your numbers I think I see the problem, you have have a weekly deficit of 3500 to lose a pound of fat. By what you're writing down you arent making that, so that is probably why you aren't losing any weight. I would suggest cutting down the calories or stepping up the exercise. What kind of things do you do at the gym? That 600-900 deficit is daily so I have a weekly deficit of 4200-6300. My eat meter says I should be eating 1443 but I usually come in around 1300-1400, rarely do I go over that. It isn't hard for me to stay in that range. On non-workout days I burn 1980 and on work-out days I burn anywhere from 2130-2300. I am steadily losing 1-2 pounds a week for the past 5 weeks. I work out 5 days a week and for an hour to an hour and half and I walk my dog 3 times a week for 30-45mins each time. I put my activity level as "light" because I do a desk job all day. At the gym I usually burn 250-450 calories each time. Depends on what I do. I also lift weights quite a bit. I hope this helps let me know!!

Hey amk, I'm sorry to hear that... are you keeping your deficit between 500-1000 calories a day? And are you tracking your exercise in the burn meter? If you're not eating in that deficit then you wont lose. I typically keep mine around 600-900 calories a day. The scale i actually got from target for like 60 bucks but it was worth it! good luck to you :-) |

jansherman... I'm sorry to see someone else going through this too. I was lucky enough not to gain any weight before TOM came to town but then right after I went up a pound then lost it all. My "real" weight is 134 -135 i take that to be true because my weight keeps staying at those numbers - and this was the only week i have "gained" any weight. Are you an everyday weigher? I do it every morning at pretty much the same time then again at night to see how much it's gone up with my food intake. My rule is that I have to stay the same weight on the scale for 3 consecutive days before i count it as a weight loss... luckily I have been steadily decreasing. How much more do you have to lose? I have never been smaller than 131 even when i did the zone diet but I have also never done this much work before so I'm hoping I can get past that number and keep going. Good luck to you!! |

Thank you so much for the input... after looking at my logs and my estimated sodium intake i did realize on those days i was taking in a lot of salt. Also yesterday when my weight went down I ate less salt and drank more water to help flush out my system. I dont think i was drinking enough water either. My last question is, what is the correct level of sodium I should be eating? I can give up everything else but salt seems to be my biggest weakness, i put it on everything! haha what can I use instead? Current average around 2200-2500mg of salt a day

| Weight Loss | 5'2ers, what's your goal weight? | May 16 2008 01:48 (UTC) |

CW - 134 - 135, I am a medium frame and build muscle very easily and I have a large chest. GW - 120-125 - I havent been this weight for probably 10 years. Even through diet and exercise in the past my body is does not go below 130, I am still trying though. I will know when I get there if it's too low or not enough.

Thank you so much for the reply... I was on the zone diet before and I have never done calorie watching or trying to figure out the deficit. I guess I need to make sure I eat a bit more than what I am with a 5 day a week work out schedule... I just want to get toned and drop a few pounds. I am definitely planning on keeping this up for a long time. I think I am partially overtraining however since I am so sore I can barely walk. Haha.
As my mom says i always have to do everything to the extreme. thanks for the help! |
