Pregnancy & Parenting calories?? Sep 03 2008

Thanks ladies!!

But the weight loss calculators online give me what I think a big estimate of my caloric needs. They vary from 2500 to 27ooc per day to maintain weight!! I think this is way too high, and it means I should be losing weight at 2000 c which is not happening! And, of course  I know I need a lot of toning, but I'm focusing now on fat loss, and then I'll focus on toning, or what do you think???

Thank you both very much!I really needed the vent, a weight off my shoulders!!

I was just talking with a friend who's in the same boat as me and we decided we'd be weight loss buddies. wish us luck!

But for you, things would be much harder.

MORTALMOMKEY! WOW!!! Great job!!! But I dunno if toning is easier for men since their bodies tend to be mascular naturally.

CHEREE I'll try to get the book, but hey!!! you already look just in shape and you look as if you were born toned!! can you relate to my "flabbiness" then???? But thanks for advice anyway.

I really appreciate it

wooohoooo, I think I've lost 5 lbs. so thrilled! though  my nutrition expert said the 1st go you lose a lot and it really slows down afterwards. Anyway, it's just  a start..

Anoxa, know what??I was just wondering about that too. My baby is on solids too, so I think I don't need as many calories as moms with LO's less than 6 months.  Or rather, I never needed them ever. sigh! yes, weird as it may sound, I think I didn't need extra calories to breastfeed in the first place. Just so you know, the weight I've put was mostly postpartum weight and not baby weight. sniff sniff !!! ok probably its genetics, my mom told me she gained weight with breastfeeding and once she stopped her weight really went down on its own. weird, huh???!!!
