I had a horrible eating / exercising day yesterday.  I did my 30 minutes of walking like a good girl, but just before that had argued with hubby long distance....  so, on my walk I stopped and bought a bag of Cheese Puffs - no, not the little bag, the big bag.  And I ate it.  All. And had a couple of drinks.  Felt horrible about that so I ate 4 of those 100 calorie granola bars ( or shall I call them bite sized???)  On the upside though, I did read an entire novel while eating the junk -- Summer Sisters by Judy Blume.  I didn't know she wrote big girls novels, and it was fantastic.  I look forward to finding some of her other books.

Today is better.  Went for my 30 minutes, shopped for 1 1/2 hours and thus far am on track with my calories.  Tomorrow starts the walk / jog part of the Runner's Training ---- please think good thoughts for me, not sure if I'll make it home ok - lol!

Keep up the great work everyone!!!Laughing

Count me in!  I am 36, 5'6" CW 194 GW 130 --- this is the absolute heaviest I have been in my life!  I have one daughter, 17 - who is going to finish Grade 12 in Alberta ( we are currently in Niagara Falls ) so she can then start her RCMP Training, a husband who got his dream job in Levack ( @ 6 hours from here and he had to start this past January ) and we are selling our home to move up there!  We get "congegal " visits maybe once a month, so no exercise there - lol!!!

I have never been a great athlete, unless drinking wine and chatting with other moms is a sport!Wink  I am 11 pounds down from my start weight , which is good, but so hard to stay motivated when I am completely on my own down here!

Any kind words, great advice welcome!

Hey, can I ever relate!!!  I have been doing soooo well, and then last nite I was bored and lonely  --- so it was a big bag of Ruffles and thick creamy onion chip dip topped off with chocolate milk and a couple of glasses of wine!!!!  Then I felt so crappy that I almost finished the whole bag - why not? I had already ruined my intake for the week!!!  But then I remembered my progress, and decided to hop back on the wagon so to speak.  Don't be too hard on yourself, be your best friend instead of your worst enemy!Wink

I never knew either, and seeing as I overestimated everything.... I went to the dollar store and bought a complete set of measuring spoons and cups.  They are now my " Bible " of measuring --- which saves a whole lot of guesstimating!Laughing
