Hello everyone! I see that the long holiday weekend has taken its toll on some of us:( I know it has for me. I am not even going to put up my numbers because I didnt weigh in because I know I am way up from last week. Chin up, cheer up=) I definitely have to keep plugging along and not let this get the best of me. . For me, when I fall into these bad habits I just want to give up altogether, but I know it doesnt get me anywhere - such a vicious cycle. Where is my will power?!? I am leaving home to Montana today. I wont be back until the end of the weekend.... I hope I can watch my diet and get some exercise in! Heather: Congratulations on the upcoming wedding! I hope everything is perfect for the two of you! Enjoy your trip to Costa Rica. I have been wanting to go there for years!!! Have a great week ladies! |

Happy Wednesday everyone! Ingrid: Good job on getting below 130! That's great! Have a great trip with your sweetie=) SW: 135 LW: 133.4 CW: 132.4 I am happy with my weigh-in! I worked hard these last two days, eating healthy and exercising... It seems I am always good during the beginning of the week, but as the weekend draws close, I go down hill... Just curious of how everyone does with the weekend? I know its okay to have a cheat day, but I feel so guilty when the weekend is over. Not to mention the scale is at its highest. Good luck ladies! Thank you Bluenote! I completely agree with you. I know from past experience that if I dont have something small to satisfy the craving, I will binge. And coming from someone that loves sweets all the time, not just once a month, it could be very bad;) |

Hello ladies! I have been laying low on the posts. I cant really give advice or have little to say on weight lifting because I am just starting with mine. I still am trying to figure things out, so its very helpful to hear what everyone has to say. Thanks! So far, it's been going good. I love the sore feeling the next few days. And, hopefully I will see results in time. I know in the past when I have tried doing weights, I lose patience because I don't see the results right away, but that has got me nowhere. I gotta stay strong and continue on this track and that's why I am here:) Good luck on the weigh in tomorrow!

Those are things that I enjoy and if its not all the time and I am working hard the rest of the time, then it is okay. I guess I just have to stop feeling so guilty when I do it! Gosh, I am going through this same thing... I havent posted on here for days and its because I have felt like crap because I havent been watching my calories and eating out these past few days. It all started with the night I went to dinner with my friend and we went out drinking:( Now my weight is back to the normal 135. I know its the choices I make but I just feel stuck and sometimes I lose hope... but I need to keep pushing through and keep trying. That's why I am here to have all your support. Yesterday my husband and I went to the pool and I wouldnt even take off my tanktop. I dont want to be that person. I want to enjoy the sun and not worry about how I look... |

Danni, I often wonder that myself. I hear both sides... Please help me understand too? Should I do cardio and lift weights? I am just concerned that if I lift weights I will actually gain weight. How does this work and what should I do? Right now I just do cardio, but I was going to start doing both tomorrow. Should I do weights one day and then cardio the next or combine both in the same workout? I know alcohol is a no-no. I hardly ever drink and tonight I am going out with a friend to mexican food and I know that I will have a drink or two. Any suggestions on what might be a good choice? |

Sorry forgot to post what I would eat on a typical day: Today: 7:15 woke up (usually when I wake up, I am craving something sweet) 7:45 bowl of Honey nut cheerios with 2% milk 10:30 Fiber one bar (I usually need some kind of snack) 12:30 McDonald's Asian grilled chicken salad (I am not quite sure what I should be eating for lunch) 3:30 I am usually starving at this time. Usually have some fruit. Today I brought a bag of strawberries. will probably be starving before dinner 5:30 - 6 dinner... tonight is Raviolis with sour dour bread. Before I go to sleep I am usually craving sweets so I have been eating those Skinny Cow icecream sandwiches. Okay now for the comments on what I am doing wrong or food suggestions! Let's see where to start... Right now I am 5'6" 135lbs. I would really like to drop some weight, but more importantly just tone up. I have always been insecure about my arms because they are a little bit bigger, so thats one of my problem areas. The others are my tummy... Recently, it feels like all my weight just appeared in my middle area - not so much looking like a pot belly but its just all over. That's my focus right now. I have a gym membership and I have a been doing about a half hour in cardio about 3-5 days a week. I also have lowered my calories to about 1500 a day, but that seems to be a struggle. I have a thing for sweets so I am really try to limit myself. I am not sure if what I am doing is helping or what I should do, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Summer is coming soon and I really want to feel good! |

Ok last week I weighed in at 135. This morning I was just around 133. I guess I am down, but my weight flutuates so much its hard to believe that it will stay down. Rrrr I just want to be under 130 and I cant remember the last time I was able to get down below that... I will keep pushing on:) Today is going good so far... I wanted to stop and get some fast food after my son's baseball game, but I went home and ate some left over chicken stir fry! Progress I guess... it is definitely the little things that count! Tomorrow might be difficult though, going to a major league baseball game and you know what that means?!!?! Goodies! I guess I will have to go work my butt off on the elliptical. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! |

Hello ladies! I hope its okay I am starting so late in the thread... I am around 135 and have been for the last 4-5 years. I am not overweight, but I definitely want to be down to around 125. And I want to tone up which is the most important thing for me. Although I have maintained 135 for awhile now, this last year it seems my belly has got big and flabby...its strange though because I dont lose weight. My weight will flutuate by a few pounds but that is normal. I dont know what is going on? I guess maybe my sweet cravings and bad eating habits are finally catching up to me. I am trying to eat better and eat less sweets and I am doing good, but my body is having a hard time adjusting. I am going on a late honeymoon in July and would really like to be under 130! I hope this is just the place to help motivate me and stay on track! Any suggestions would be great! Thanks so much! Look forward to talking more with everyone! |

Hello all! I weighed myself this morning and I lost 2 pounds! Yay! I am doing good - well better. I got up early and did the elliptical for a half hour, but then on the way to work I stopped and got a bagel with creamcheese:( And the weekend is coming and that is my weakest time to cave into all my cravings. I have to keep strong and remember Summer is coming soon =) Good job ladies! Keep up the good work! |

Hi Everyone! I would love to be a part of this group. I am currently 135 and would like to lose 10 pounds, but its not so much about the numbers as it is I want to just tone up!
