Omgosh the same things been happening to me! Like 4 or 5am i wake up and my tummy's grumbling. And i cant go back to sleep until i eat something. And its weird because ever since winter break started, ive eaten a ton more food everyday.. maybe thats the connection?

The only reason I'm looking into a multivitamin is because my college's dietician recommended I take one at this age for reassurance. I have a very healthy diet so I guess I don't really need it. hmm... but it doesn't hurt right?


I think I'm going to start taking women's one-a-day. And i just wanted to say thanks for all of your replies.

Heyy thats been happening to me lately too! usually im hungry and i cant go back to sleep till i eat something. So i always have carrot sticks or cantaloupe ready. Pretty much just have some precut fruit available and in a spot in the fridge where its in your face so you dont go reaching for that brownie.

Haha, i just watched the video. funny stuff. ANywayyy...

I had constipation problems too.. not diarrhea but i was lucky if i paid a visit to the toilet once a week. yeah it was horrible, i felt bloated.. and heavy and just ughh.. I also eat a lot of veggies and grains. I made sure i had plenty of fiber and drank lots of water but nothing really worked.

And then i started eating my sisters activia for like 2-3 days and let me tell ya, yes it works! a little too well if youd ask me. so now i eat it like every 2-3 days.

i actually used the vanilla flavored one as a starter to make homemade yogurt using 1% milk so its a lot cheaper and lower in sugar than the actual thing.

In college, i would maintain my weight by running the treadmill and elliptical every other day. But since ive been home, all ive been is walking around my neighborhood while reading a book for an hour every other day and ive been able to maintain also. so iunno if youd consider that a workout, but its been keeping me from gaining weight just as running and stuff did.

how do you know youre at a heart rate of 120?? at that rate, would you be panting and sweating? or just be a little warmed up?

Okay, i know how you feel right now, but trust me, a couple of weeks from now youre gonna be like, "wow, i was fretting over nothing." Dont beat yourself up about it, the past is the past.

Today, when i look back at my 1000 calorie cereal binges, and how i used to be on the verge of tears afterwards, i really feel stupid cuz one binge aint the end of the world.

i actually tried eating cereal with water and i'd have to say the taste was bearable but its just not the same.  I think water actually makes the cereal soggier faster.

Nowadays, i first pour in cold water and then add in enough milk to make the color more appealing.

Umm.. lippygal, i dont think you can make your own kefir out of yogurt salt and lemon juice.. Kefir is made from kefir grains and is so much better, probiotic wise, than yogurt.

These are all such great suggestions! Believe it or not, I attempted to try all of these ideas yesterday morning. Of course, i cut the eggos into quarters and had mini "samples" of your creations. haha.


but i'm actually kind of hesitant to eat them now since they arent the healthiest things in the world. On second thought, they are one of my childhood favorites so im gonna try to NOT let carmen get to me and enjoy them while I'm still young =D

yes that makes sense. some of the fat in the chicken would mix in with the water, therefore, the chicken has less fat.

I'm losing a lot of hair too! especially during and after i shower. handfuls, its really scary. I really think its because i lost almost 30 lbs in such a short amount of time. plus an increase from completely no exercise to running miles and miles a day.


They say hair reflects what youve done to your body 3 months ago and i think this is true because i began upping my calories about 3 months ago.

are you sure theres 141 cals in 1/4 cup of whole wheat flour? cuz im using the gold metal brand (the most popular one) and its only 100 cals... so make sure your logging the right brand

Hey there! wow i have like the same stats as you. yay us! but yeah im dealing with the same thing you are. i had a whole schdeule in college but now, i dont go to the gym or anything... so to compensate, i try really hard to always keep myself active. like by going to the mall, washing the dishes, just anything


I guess its working for me cuz i came home 3 weeks ago at 116.8 lbs and now im 117.2 lbs. keep in mind that im not going to the gym at all (i used to run 1 mile on the treadmill and 20 min. on the elliptical 3 times a week).

Yeah but it sucks being at home cuz theres food everywhere!! and its free!! and its right outside your door calling your name.. why dont you try leaving the house when u have an urge to head for the kitchen???


for me, i usually get those cravings at night after dinner.. so what i do is brush my teeth. try that.. its actually really helps

I'm a 5'6", 118 lb., 18 year old female taking in, on average, 1800 calories to maintain.


I really dont really do any strenuous excercise. Typically jog about 1.5 miles on the treadmill, 20 min. on the elliptical followed by a couple reps of sit ups and some stretching three times a week. I do try to keep myself from being sedentary by constantly doing something like going out with my friends or cleaning up the house. In other words i pretty much make sure im not stting on my butt all day watching TV.

Oh, and i was losing about a pound a week on 1400 calories along woth 2 mile jogs 5 times a week.

I think you already know the answer but fruits and lots of veggies?? munch on celery...

and i know you need to gain weight and all but thats no reason to go over 5000 calories in one dayy... who knows... you might turn it into a crazy disorder...

here, i found this girl on youtube who you might find helpful to watch. She wanted to gain a little weight too but went overboard.

Whenever i get these binge strikes, i try to get myself busy.

I finally realized that i only get these temptations to binge when im at home, idle.. and alone.

so try to call up a friend and go to the mall or something. Just get out of the house.

Hey me too! iunno i think im at a normal weight, 5'6" 116 lbs and i havnt had my period for 5 months.. im starting to miss it. haha

i eat a handful of almonds everyday.. thats good fats right? then whats wrong with me?

fruit and veggies throughout the day.

get my moneys worth by eating the sashimi rather than wasting good stomach space on plain old rice.
