Hey everyone! I'm sort of new here.

Last year, I was steadily losing weight by eating carefully, exercising, getting support from CC and so on and managed to get to 150lbs (I started at 200lbs). Then, Christmas came along and I have been steadily gaining weight ever since. I am now at 180lbs. Frown Although this is disappointing, I'd really like to start losing weight again. I'm just hoping to find some support.

Thanks!

Thanks for helping me out. =)

Anything specific? Not really. I just want to stop feeling so down and unmotivated all the time. I've stopped caring about EVERYTHING and I hate it. I want to be able to focus again.

You know that silver lining that other people see? I don't. There's a f***ing dark cloud following me around all the time -- no sign of any silver lining. =(

Suicide preoccupies my mind so often it's ridiculous... It isn't fun.

If I had the money that Oprah had, I'd definitely be fit by now. Come on, she has the money to hire the best chefs and personal trainers in the world.

That still doesn't give her the right mindset?

Buy a therapist/counsellor to help her develop the right mindset.

Done.

Have you completely forgotten about the social aspect of humans?

Humans don't just want to be attractive for the purpose of passing on genes. There's a social aspect to it. We want to be accepted and respected by others.

For Pete's sake, we aren't peacocks or something (just an example of a species in which sexual selection occurs).

Honestly, I found your original post to be quite pathetic and ignorant.

So, I guess we're even. ;)

I despise people who aren't as perfect as I am. Gosh, other people are just below me. Why can't everyone just follow my example? Don't they know that I'm perfect and that they're dirt? Well, they should.

I despise people who make lifestyle choices with which I don't agree. Clearly, I'm right and they're wrong. Why don't people understand this?

Sorry, maybe I should clarify. I just meant that some accents are more socially "acceptable". Let's not lie here -- a British accent is often considered cute or sexy while a Chinese accent may not necessarily be seen as such.

Birth control pills don't make you gain weight - at least not directly. They may increase your appetite, which would result in weight gain, but that depends on you.

If it helps, I started taking Tri-Cyclen Lo and have experienced no problems with my weight.

By eating that little, I'm guessing that you've managed to burn all your muscle away while retaining all your fat (since you're starving your body).

Make sure to eat more -- MINIMUM 1200 calories (and that's if you're COMPLETELY sedentary).

Believe or not, not everyone in your life is jealous of you. They're probably just concerned. Can you blame them? You're underweight.

I love Jessica Biel. She not only looks beautiful, she also looks very fit and healthy.

The Lounge Does anyone (particularly females) like their mother? Nov 05 2008

* How old are you? 19

* Are you a son or a daughter? Daughter

* How would you describe your relationship with your mother? Strange, but good.

* Why? When I was younger, I often felt that my mother had no time for me. She was busy with her patients (she's a doctor), housework, etc. Sure, she was providing for us, but she never spoke to us -- not on a "personal" level. My mother never talked to me about how I was feeling or what was going on in my life. (This was partially why I went into depression). I felt that she only spoke to me to make sure I wasn't getting into trouble or to assign me some sort of chore. As a result, I ended up feeling as if I couldn't share personal details of my life with her. She just seemed so distant.
Very recently, things have changed. We now talk more frequently. We also discuss more personal aspects of my life. Of course, our relationship isn't perfect, but it is much better.
All in all, I love my mother with all my heart. She is such a brilliant woman. I have no idea how she finds time to do everything, but she does. <3 She is a physician, a fashionista, a mother, a wife and so much more. I truly love her.

Turkey + pumpkin pie + mashed potatoes + peas + barbecue + other random crap.

I'm over it now, lol.

I'm pretty sure I gained 5lbs from all the food I ate. I'm definitely not weighing myself for a while...

I hope you're all doing well!

Thanksgiving weekend (for us Canadians) has just ended.

Major binge fest? Yes.

I feel absolutely disgusting. For 2 days straight I did nothing but eat. I could actually feel the food starting to come back up when I was lying on my stomach...

I wouldn't be surprised if I gained 5lbs.

*sigh*

I don't have an exact idea, but maybe you could do an image of someone throwing a used needle into a disposal with the needle saying "I feel so used"... or something alone those lines. Then, under the image, you could write something clever about used needles and throwing them out.

"Needles don't care if you throw them out after using them. A dead patient might care if you don't."

LMAO, I'm so sorry -- I suck at this.

jodiferjuniper - (May I call you JJ for short?) I know you can hit your goal! Everyone gets off track once in a while, but that doesn't mean you can't get right back on it. =) At least you only gained 5lbs back. If you had chosen to stay off the wagon, you may have completely gained back the 30lbs you lost! >.<
