I DID! I had home made choc chip cookies and a massive helping of meatballs and pasta, as well as some home made granola bars! I feel disgustingly bloated now!

Congratulations! I had a quick read through of your profile and I'm so pleased that you have been able to pull through what must have been a very traumatic time for you. YAY You! :)

I just wanted to add that if you take an EFA (essential fatty acid) supplement such as Evening Primrose Oil, this will help to naturally regulate your hormone levels. I'm a huge fan of this supplement as it helped to regulate my own hormone levels - having gone from suffering major PMS to having no regular cycle at all, they have helped me immensely!

You may find that as a result of your body having undergone so much trauma that in some aspects you may have become over sensitised to some foods i.e. wheats breads etc. which may account for your the discomfort you're feeling.

I don't know what your diet is like so I can't comment, but you may want to try and eat foods as naturally as possible to see if it helps? I'm a naturopathic student (which is where I get all my information from) and nutrition is a major subject in the course, so if you'd like any more information, feel free to ask!

i find if I eat a big brekkie then I'm more likely to eat a lot during the day - don't know why! All my brekkies used to be healthy - either oats, muesli etc. I prefer a piece of fruit or a smoothie these days! As I find it helps me stay on top of controlling my calorie intake.

Hi, I'd like to join this group too! For the most part, I'm very healthy and a health food conscious eater. About 5 months ago I changed my diet and exercise routine, following the 80/20 diet (eating healthy 6 days per week and having 1 naughty day) and doing mainly strength training. As a result I now have the 'taste' for naughty foods and can't help but be tempted EVERY DAY as a result. Coupled with taking antibiotics, I put on weight so fast I now find myself at my heaviest. Okay so I know that I am in my healthy BMI range, but this is about how I feel. And I'd like that to change because I'm not happy with how I feel and look.

My last really bad binge day was Saturday. I made several desserts and ate far too many sugar laden sweets whilst drinking some wine! I felt so bad for doing it that I have been spurred on to do well this week!

Hi,

I have recently been on anti-biotics which stopped my periods and I felt like I was constantly suffering from PMS. There are plenty of natural herbs that will help to regulate your hormone cycle:

Evening Primrose Oil capsules (as well as being a form of GLA - gamma linoleic acid which make up the 'good fatty acids you need)

Agnus Castus - a natural herb in capsule form which can help with PMS as it regulates your hormones.

I've done a quick search on some of regular website (I'm studying to be a Naturopath) and here are some of the herbs I've found:

Chaste Tree

Peony

Licorice (not in the sweet form though I'm afraid) :-)

Black Cohosh

If you need any information, feel free to send me an e-mail, I'd be happy to help!
