if you ate 1400 calories over your matinence for 8 days you would mathmaticly gain around 3 1/2 lb. The scale may read more or less due to water weight or other factors. |

I would order a giant thick crust pepperoni pizza from pizza hut, along with cheesy bread and a gian chocolate shake with real whipped cream and a cherry on top. Then I would get a slice of Godiva Chocolate cheesecake from the Cheese cake factory along with a Bigby's peppermint Mocha for desert. |

I've done this diet and I can't say how well it works but it is really fun to move around your calorie targets to adjust to different days. For example, I have a night at home, I'm just doing my homework and going to bed so I eat the minimum calorie day, but then on Friday when I have a night out with my friends and I know we'll be going for dinner and such I eat a high calorie day. It really takes some of the pressure off having to eat a certian number of calories everyday. |

"what workouts did u do?" I've been doing about 20 of those bycicle crunches and then 15 regular crunches. I work those in to my 1/2 hour of nightly yoga and it's done wonders for all of my muscles! I also walk for 40 to 90 minutes every day. |

Please don't take this the wrong way, but this is how anorexia started for me. I began by losing weight the healthy way and then, when I got to my goal weight, still didn't have a boyfriend, and didn't look like a supermodel, I decided the answer was to continue on my quest to lose weight until my dreams were furfilled. Maybe at somepoint it's better to let someone else (friend, doctor, ect) tell you when you're done losing weight. Just my expirence. Hand in there, 50 lb was a long way to come and you should be very proud! 8) |

| Young Calorie Counters | So you had a bad day. How are you going to correct it? | Jul 22 2009 02:34 (UTC) |
25 |
I <3 this thread! I used to obsess and overexercise until I burned off every one of my "bad" calories. But now I can forgive myself and move on. How did I mess up today? -Overate by a few hundred calories after dinner, nothing terrible but I haven't done that in a while :P How am I going to fix it? -Commit to a single healthy after dinner snack and distract myself with other activities in the evening so I won't indulge. |

| Maintaining | What are some healthy changes that you've made in how you eat? | Jul 20 2009 01:23 (UTC) |
1 |
Two really great changes I've made in my eating are; 1) I no longer eat in my room 2) I have only one snack after dinner and must wail thirty minutes before going back for 2nds of 3rds! It may not seem like much but these small changes have made me feel more confident and in control of my eating. Before, I would restrict like crazy all day and then take a bunch of junk food into my room after dinner and eat at least a thrid of my daily calories! I also started yoga for one hour everyday on most days and it's really relaxing (plus it keeps me from overeating in the evenings :)) |

And how would you suggest I do that? I was commenting on the blatant disregard for a very specific request (do not post low calorie numbers). To clarify I think people who do this are sad and attention seeking. I understand the emotional upheaval that goes along with under eating but their is no excuse for boasting about it on a public thread! |

ummm... Gosh, there are alot of STUPID people in this thread. I was reading the warnings about not promoting 'starvation' on this topic and I was thinking "That's not really nessisairy, no one is going to exonerate their horific eating habits." and then I see a post where the person is eating 425 CALORIES!!! People sometimes make me want to scream! BTW: I eat around 1900-2100 cals a day. |

Egg yokes can be easily added to a cake or cookie mix, it increases the flavor and nutrition! If you're trying to lose weight then make a desert using the egg yokes and give it away! |

Maybe one of them <3is failing at school or is about to lose her job, or got pregnant accidently! You have a boyfriend who loves you and probably lots of friends who care about you. You wern't ment to wear a bikini? Oh Well! There's plenty of other outfits you CAN wear that look awesome on you and (an added bonus) don't make you feel uncomfterable or look like a slut! Take care of yourself hun! It's worth your health <3 |

I would say that you definately need to talk to your nutritionist because they an probably test for sure whether or not your body is still in starvation mode. Much love! |

| Young Calorie Counters | What do the people at YOUR lunch table eat? | Jan 18 2009 15:34 (UTC) |
27 |
Frosh 1: slightly overweight- sandwich, juice box, apple, chips Frosh 2: tall and thin- Sandwich, yogurt, water or juice, some sort of fruit or veggi and desert Frosh 3-5: all short and overweight- all three get the school lunch with pop, cookies and a bag of chips (and our school lunches are a far cry from healthy!) Junior 1: healthy weight, used to be anorexic- yogert and fruit thing, a fuze drink, peta chips, and sometimes a cookie (but only on a good day) Junior 2: healthy but beefy (very athletic)- huge piece of greasy pizza, a fuze drink, and two big cookies Junior 3: THATS ME! thin/healthy weight- a PBJ mini bagel, water, apple, and ccarrot sticks, sometimes I'll get a cookie or some chips from the Caf Junior 4: (has low blood sugar problems and has to eat a lot!) tall and healthy weight- big bag of chips or pretzles, yogurt, chili or soup, and a desert from home, but then she usually buys a lunch too that includes an apple, fries, and an ice cream bar or piece of cake Junior 5: (her parents pack her lunch) about me size, maybe a bit thinner- sandwich, water, a piece of fruit, desert, and then a cookie or pudding cup from the caf. |

Where will you have Thanksgiving this year? When will Thanksgiving dinner be served? About how many people will be present? If not home, will you be bringing food and what? If at home, how much of the meal are you responsible for? Whats your favorite Thanksgiving food? Taste preference: Turkey or Ham? Three favorite sides dishes in preference order? Best tasting Thanksgiving dessert? Most over-rated Thanksgiving food? Most under-rated Thanksgiving food? Will you be fine with high cal leftovers around? What will you be doing after eating Thanksgiving dinner? Allowing yourself a gain or not? |

| Young Calorie Counters | question for any teen who's recovered from an ED... | Apr 20 2008 02:10 (UTC) |

Hey there, I'm a recovering anorexic and I've been through the exact same things your going through. Your weight is up and everyone around you is happy now, except you. You're trying to hold on to the last bit of weight loss you have because that's all you feel you have left, right? Well... I may be way off but from what you have said, you seem to be focused on numbers; 150 situps, 200 jumping jacks, a certain ammount of calories, that sort of thing. Doesn't thinking about all those numbers really fill up your mind? I mean, if you could eat whatever you wanted and maintain your current weight or even lose some weight would you? Now this might sound completely crazy but I swear, this can be achieved! The key is tuning into what your body really wants. That means not eating a desert just because it's there and not denying yourself an extra serving of pasta if you feel you truly are still hungry. Now depending on your stage of recovery you may or may not be able to do this but either way I encourage you to try. This life is WAY to short to obsess over food your whole life! I know I made this sound really simple and short so if you have any questions feel free to email me at ruthspot@aol.com.
