Hello Everyone!!!! I took off for a bit. I needed to, I was really starting to get depressed and just needed to have a little time to sit back and re analyze some things in my life. I think all is ok now, I am really trying to focus on the better things. Got real scary there for a while, almost admitted myself but I think i am back on track and coming on here and seeing that I was missed really brought my mood up todya so to those of you who asked thank you so much!!!!
I guess I haven't posted a weigh in so it is 137. I really have cut way back on the exercising so I am ready to get back into it, I haven't been calorie counting either, so I guess it's time. I would like to welcome all new comers!!! The people you meet here are great and will help you out no matter what your questions or concerns, we are a team. We can beat this weight! For the holiday I didn't eat anything abnormal, a hamburger, coleslaw, strawberry shortcake. That was it. didn't realy exercise, sorry! Great to be back! Can't wait to hear from everyone. snowfence, and poupe, thanks again for asking about me. how are you guys? |

My son was sooo sick yesterday, I didn't have a chance to do anything, I did get a chance to hop on scale and t was 137. I'm pretty sure I am up a pound since last week, My TOM is no where near so what am I doing wrong? I am so frustrated! Welcome angela, and glivings, sure hope you can keep up with us all. We really do have a great group of girls here, all very supportive. Hope we all can eventually reach our goals |

wow guys, you sure had lots going! Thank you for thinking of me enough to ask where I had gone. Actually i didn't go anywhere, it was so hot here over the weekend that i spent all day in the pool. I really didn't do anything but swim and work. I am so proud of all of you for keeping up with all of this, i really wish i had more time at work to get on and keep up with all of you. I guess tomorrow is weigh in and i already know the scale didn't budge for me, i am in a real rut and trying like heck to get out of it, I guess i really gotta bump up the workouts if I wanna lose anymore, or maybe eat more, I really don't know. I am so confused. Coolmom: My daughter is now 11 and she was just diagnosed. She has an "s" curve as well and we are doing the x-ray thing every 6 months. Her ribs are totally uneven when she bends over, her one side of her ribs stick out farther then the other and it just doesn't look good. She really has no complaints of pain right now but I imagine someday she will. Just worries me. Snowfence: I am glad you are fighting through all the criticism, You deserve to be healthy and you need to keep doing what is right for you. I will definitely be back tomorrow, i am going to try to be here everyday, even if it is just a real quick check in. Thanks again for being here...... |

I don't really remember what my last week weight was but I don't really think it changed much for me. starting weight: 147, 146 last week approx 137 this week 136 although I am not counting the 136 until I can see it on the scale on a daily basis. I am still working out on the treadmill. Not a daily thing anymore, maybe I really need to do it daily, maybe that is the only way to lose. Coolmom: How bad is your scoliosis. I know my daughter was just recently diagnosed with it and they told her to stay active because it helps strengthen the muscles in her back and it will keep it form getting worse. Do you think that is the wrong advice? Poupe: I am sooooo jealous of you....Do you know how badly i want to see that weight. I am so proud of you! I am also hoping that you stick with us even after you get to the 120's. We are a team now! Snowfence: Your weight is probably due to pressure your family is throwing at you. Like I said before, you have to stick to what you think is good for you. If you feel healthy stick to it. Renee: one pound is still one pound, I am happy for you. I would love to know for sure I have lost a pound or two, I am so stuck right now. I don't know what to do. I am working a 12 hour shift tonight so I am hoping that I can work out tomorrow, if I have the energy. I work as a nurses aide and I work with Alzheimer dementia patients so some nights can be real challenging.
Keep in touch, they shut the computer down at work so i really haven't been able to get on alot. I am hoping to get on tomorrow so i can check everyone else's progress. |

To answer your question snowfence I have been trying to mix up my workout on the treadmill. I run for about 2 minutes than walk then jog then run again all in two minute intervals equaling out to a half hour.
I am glad for all the support and I too will be here to support any of you who need it. snowfence: don't let your family get you down. If you believe you are still eating healthy and you know you are losing the healthy way then you continue to do what you feel is right for you. poupe: I am really trying. I am and I am so glad to have all you advice and help. I know that it is difficult for all of us so I really appreciate the support given even when it doesn't come easy. I am so proud of all your success. How have you been anyway? Doing alright?
I'll try to check in again tomorrow. Weigh in is Wednesday right? Why do i keep forgetting that? |

Poupe: I too am having a bit of a struggle trying to figure out the best way to lose these last 15 pounds. I have been exercising and watching the caloric intake on a daily basis. I really try not to go over 1400 but I know there are some days you really just can't help it. I know that it is good for you to mix it up a bit but I am at a stand still. I've weighed in at 137 now for 2 weeks, I have saw 136 off and on but only if I sleep an extra few hours so I really don't know if I can believe that.
I want so much to be down to the low low 130's before it's warm enough to get a bathing suit on. I have cheated my workouts, I am just doing the treadmill, before I was doing something different everyday. I guess I am going to have to start mixing it up again.
I am so glad to hear form anyone who has already reached a goal. It makes me know that it's possible. It's obtainable. I really just need to do this! |

| No time for working out today. I guess it'll be alright though, I have to work all weekend.

Really thank you guys for everything. Hearing that i have people here really helps alot. I am understanding that weight doesn't consistently drop off, that your body has highs and lows I really do get that. I just really am the type that looses interest really fast if things don't go my way right away. I am so impatient. I guess I should be happy though because technically its been two months and I have lost 10 pounds. Luna: That's so great you lost that and it is even better when your doctor tells you a weight you weren't ready to hear.
poupe80601: That is an awesome weight. I think I am going to make my new mini goal 133. That's 4 pounds. Thanks for your post, it really motivated me. Trinityj: We can do this together. Not too long ago i was 153. It wasn't when I started this site but shortly before that and you can do this. We can do it together. Snowfence: Thanks for believing in me and knowing I can do this. I really need people to believe in me even when I don't believe in myself. I know I think I am happy right now with the 130's but a week from now I will be mad I didn't keep going So thanks!

Weigh in today is 138. I seriously think I have been eating to much and not exercising enough. I am olso on my TOM so maybe that is why, I am sure hoping to be back down to 136 by next weigh in. Wish me Luck and please keep me motivated! I really think I am losing my motivation. I want to see the 120's again I really do but then I think "hey you got to the 130's that's enough." I don't know how to get out of that frame of mind. |

Hey girls: thanks for all the updates. Thank you for the encouragement too poupe. I dropped to 138 this morning and so far so good also I started my TOM so I am hoping that when I am done I am back to my 137. I will still do my weigh in on Tuesday and we will see how it goes. Seems like all of us are really cheating on our diets. It's so hard to stay on track when everyone around you really isn't counting or trying to eat healthy. It's also hard when you have relatives and kids around. So now that the weekend is over what shall our challenge for the week be, I know i was doing the crunch thing but I don't know if it is working. I really am going to dedicate myself to 1400 calories a day for the rest of the week and do somekind of workout every day....Anyone with me?
Bovenkamp, thinsky, coolmom, luna, and andie, Where are you guys???? How have you been? You have any horror stories over the past weekend? Please come back, we miss you!!!! lol
Oh and I am not sure if any of you remember but one of my major weaknesses is the movie theater popcorn, well I took kids to see Indiana Jones and guess what, I ate the popcorn with extra butter, I know I shouldn't have and if I ever want to see the scale move again I really have to quit eating this way. HELP!!!!! |

You can definitely tell it's the weekend, everyone is gone! I totally am stressing, I haven't had my period yet (no chance of pregnancy though) and I keep putting on the pounds. I really thought I was done seeing the 140's and today i weighed in at 140. I made the stupid mistake of weighing myself after eating and now I am 142. I just can't win I swear. I thought eating more would be helpful for my metabolism and now I really don't know what to think. I haven't been counting calories because the things I have been eating are just too hard to count but seriously i haven't been pigging out or anything. I really hope it's just water weight because i seriously can't take this. |

Hey ya'll I am back!! I am so excited to read all you progress and conversations. It is so nice to come back to friends who I know won't judge me and won't make me feel like I am horrible for wanting to be healthy and skinny. I got compliments in tennessee from family that hasn't seen me since January. I weighed almost 150 then. My Aunt told me I look wonderful and she could tell I lost weight. I do have a bit of bad news though. I gained 2 pounds, now either I ate like a complete HOG or it's because my TOM is right around the next corner. I usually gain more than two pounds but hey i will take it. I really am hoping it's because of TOM. I did over eat and I didn't keep track of my calories, I was so busy I didn't have time to think. I have to admit something though, it was so yummy....I had burger king, I had shoneys, taco bell, pasta and lots of cheese. I had a wicked craving. Thanks poupe for thinking about me. Great to feel wanted! snowfence: you look wonderful...keep it up. You don't look sickly at all. Luna: great job....I knew you could do it. Just takes the pounds to start coming off and it really motivates you. Welcome to all the newcomers....We will be here for anything you need just ask! How is everyone? |

Hey there everyone! I like the idea about that challenge of the 50 crunches! I will do them with you everyday, even when I am gone on my little vacation. I had subway today, a 6 inch but I really feel like a pig....It made me bloated.
Do any of you get really bloated 10 days before you TOM? I am due about 10 days and already starting to feel bloated. I've been so busy today that I kinda cheated on my workout. i am trying to conserve energy because I have a really long drive tomorrow and didn't wanna wear myself out, so I did a mile on the treadmill and that was it, I really try to work out everyday but I guess this will be a shock for my body and maybe rev things up for the next workout which won't be until next Wednesday....I am real nervous about what is going to happen while I am gone. I am so scared the weight will come back. Greetings and welcome to our new friends Vamp and coolmom. So glad to have you join us. We do Tuesday weigh ins like stated above and you won't get criticized here for anything. We are here for support. What is everyone's weekness here? Mine would be candy. Any kind of candy. Hey everyone! I am sorry i dropped off for a little bit. I wanted to let you know my official weigh in as of today is 137. I know I am not as excited about it as I was yesterday but I will take 137, it's closer to 130 than I was before.
I sure would love to have something sweet. Doesn't chocolate cake sound delicious!? OOOH I am in trouble those are BAD words....lol Welcome Thinsky, you wanna tell us a little more about yourself. We are a big group of loving, and supportive girls around here. We appreciate a good laugh but don't think you can't share anything bad too. We love to help and share...Don't we girls? Wow poupe, You are doing great! I am so proud of you and long to see those numbers on the scale, I seriously think I will pass out if I actually get to 135. Seeing the numbers move even just one difference makes me so happy and proud! I can imagine how you must feel. Hey snowfence: I been trying the text thing with my phone and I can't get it to work. Any ideas? How have you been? Did I miss your weigh in today? Bovenkamp!! You wanted motivation so here it is. I challenge you to work out for 5 days in the coming week. Really work out to a sweat. Well today I think was one of the best days I have had in a while. The scale really moved this time. Starting weight 146 last week I believe was either 138 or 139 Today: 136!!! Can you believe it.....????? I ate and my dinner and weighed again and it still only said 138. I haven't been able to eat and keep the scale under 140 for about 8 years. How was everyones Tuesday? I agree you have to calorie count, I have tried every diet under the sun even starving myself and nothing works! This has really worked for me. I did my workout on the treadmill today, i literally was soaked with sweat, I know most people find that gross but after I was done, I had a newfound drive to continue on t his journey until my 125 is reached!

I really don't know if I am in one. I just want to catch it before it happens. I have been 139 for 2 weeks but this morning I got on the scale and it said 137 so I really don't know what is going on, after eating my biggest meal of the day it said 138 so i am assuming the scale must be budging somewhat. How do you really know when you have hit one? |

Thank you! It really does help, i went tot hat web site and printed out the amount of acalories I should eat, I never eat the same amount everyday, I just try to keep it under 1400. There have been days I have been over 1400 and some days I have been under. Do you think that helps? |

Sopoupe80601, i am understanding you are just getting into the whole workout thing, believe me I am not experienced at all. I just started this whole thing in April, and I hadn't worked out since teenage years. I am lost on every aspect of this, i figure i'll try something til it works and when it stops working i'll move to something else. No harm in that right? I certainly hope you enjoyed the mexican. I am way jealous that is my favorite too, i have such a weakness over that and chinese, only certain things with chinese food but mexican is sooooo yummy! Snowfence:How was your buffet: Tell us all the yummy details. I figure I can indulge in everyone elses food choices as well as my own. lol I am so excited to see your weigh in tomorrow, you have been so encouraging, no pressure though...lol I can't wait til weigh in tomorrow, i promise even if I am still 138 or 139 I will not cry I will just suck it up and move on! Oh hey, I am going away next friday, I won't be back until the next wednesday. You all won't forget me will you. Hey all! I am back. Someone locked up the computer at my work so i wasn't able to get on. Today, being mother's day was so darn hectic. I am just now getting the first chance to sign on.
Let me just say I had 2 birthday parties to attend this weekend and you know what that means.....Yes, I had the cake and ice cream at 2 different parties. I ate the popcorn at the movie theater that I so much tried to avoid. When I walked in and smelled that popcorn I knew I was not going to have the will power to say NO. I had BUTTER!!!! on it too... I have been faithful to my workouts though, did then everyday this weekend. I am anxious to see if the scale changes at all this Tuesday? Or are we weighing on Wednesday?
Snowfence, bovenkamp22 and poupe80601: Thank you so much for keeping you end of the bargain and staying with this. Don't give up! We can achieve these goals together with the support of eachother. As soon as we disappear from one another I have a feeling we will cave. Take a look in the mirror....Do you like what you see compared to where you were when you first started CC. I know I do, I can see the difference and then I look on television and see the girls with the flat toned tummies...That is going to be me!!!! Maybe not right away but I am going to make it, even though I know I will have to sweat my butt off for months I am going to get there.

I'm with you on the weekend thing. I am always logging on here to try to find some support and no one around. So if you promise to check in I will too. I am taking kids to the movies tonight. I am a sucker for the movie theater popcorn so any advice on how to stay away. I just know I am going to cave in. What do you usually do on weekends? Do you work on the weekends? |

I started these lifestyle changes because of my Dad. He had to have open heart and I really panicked that eventually someday that would be me. I don't think I can ever go through that. It's horrible. I don't want to be unhealthy. Also i work with the elderly on a daily basis as a nurse and I see the ones who took care of themselves and the ones who didn't. Surprisingly you really can tell. I am a type of person that I want change when I want it. If it doesn't happen fast enough I get discouraged, although I know this is doing wonders for my internal health too. I just want to have the encouragement from people in my life and I really am not getting it. Shame I gotta turn here but I am glad I found this place. Seems like everyone is disappearing lately though. Hope to see everyone back here soon! |

I have a comment about writing journals. I write one daily too. I have told my kids where they are and someday, like you said earlier, when they clean out my room for the last time, i think they will be in shock about some of the things there mother had done. I've been writing since about 11. I really need the support form this site. I am so thankful for it

I just want to admit I AM AN ADDICT! I love the inspiration and the personalities, and knowing I am not stuck in the battle alone. I am so glad for each of you who are not ashamed to stand and say. I am addicted! I started out at around 149, and I am down to 139. I think I am losing more inches than pounds which is totally fine by me, any progress is still progress.
