Health & Support To much fiber? Jul 06 2009
20:55 (UTC)

Too much fibre makes you bloated and *gassy*. It does not go down easy, this is why it may cause constipation.

If you up your fibre intake take lots of water with it, it'll help it swell and push the p**p out.

Original Post by cerealaddiction:

if you "feel" fat and bloated and you're sick of it, you should really try to focus more on other things you love and that you're good at. like sports and stuff.

i say this, because, i have also been called "chunky" and "not skinny" despite being underweight.  i also feel "fat and bloated" and get sick of feeling crappy about myself.  but it has nothing to do with being "fat" or heck even being "bloated".  i still have a stupid "pouch" at my belly and i've wasted a good amount of life obsessing over calories, clean eating, exercise and self imagine.

no matter what i did, i never felt great about my body.  i'm just not one of those people who's ever going to wake up, thinking "yep i love the way i look, i'm so sexy."  it's NEVER going to happen.  so do i want to sit around obsessing about how crappy i think i look 99% of the time or do i want to spend my energy doing something productive and something that makes me feel GOOD.

i'm drawing up a storm these days and feeling 100% better about myself as a whole person when i'm not poking myself in the stomach.  instead i'm thinking, "i'm talented, productive and good at something. who the frick cares if i have a "pouch." and then i sit up straighter and my stomach doesn't look as bad. hahaha

Thanks for saying that.

Health & Support does eating snacks every 2-3 hours throughout the day help to ward off a binge? Aug 14 2008

Yes it does..for me if I get hungry in between meals I sometimes eat a snack even if it was unplanned otherwise I will eat a large amount late at night.

I love sweet potatoes as a snack.. I know they're quite high cal but they fill me up.

one more thing,

you said "if i don't binge; i don't purge"

I have a little advice for you, if you DO binge, not that you would, remember that we ALL make mistakes and are not perfect. Do not purge afterwards..It  helps you break the cycle.

Good luck.

I have the same problem. My brothers keep telling me I'm fat and lazy. I'm 5'0 and 100 lbs. Yes I have been slacking off last summer but it's because my legs hurt and I was EXHAUSTED from college..it's none of their buisness really, I'm a bit flabby, DEAL WITH IT. I lost sensation in my feet and I couldn't walk properly so I got the nastiest comments from them, one of them made fun of the way I walk, the other said" Oh you're already handicapped they shouldn't treat you!"

I found out that praying helps me with these situations.

Ignore their comments completely and do NOT show signs of weakness in front of them.

Also try to build up your confidence and be grateful for every little progress you made.

You can add me if you want to talk,

good luck.

I have a VERY hard time eating salad, so I add a bit of cheese, vinegar, sometimes olive oil, and salt and pepper. Then I put it in the fridge for an hour or so,

this makes it cold and delicious, and way more filling than regular salad.

Peaches!! I love how crunchy they are.

Weight Loss What is your reason? May 06 2008

1. Honesly, I'm short and slightly chubby, and I wanna look good and not stretch my clothes so much

2. I have a bad knee and putting more weight on it is not a good idea

3.I want to tone my muscles and be able to run someday

that's about it for now

Weight Loss tasty dreams. May 06 2008

I've been (well almost) cutting out junk food for a while, so I have dreams like this every night, ice cream, cake, you name it. I wake up feeling so guilty and I have to check the fridge to see if I actually ate anything
