Yes and yes,

Simply put, the heavier you are the more calories you need to maintain that weight.  As you lose weight your body needs less calories so yes it does make sense and the cal burn probably is right.

That also means that yes, you now have to either start exercising more, or eating less.

Weight Loss weight estimate? Apr 26 2008

That sounds about right, I would probably take 2 or 3 lbs off.  You could try weighing your clothes and then subtract their weight plus about 1lb for breakfast,

Oh, and when you get a new scale, the reading might not be the same so don't worry if it says that you gained :)

you should work an gaining a few muscle pounds, ask you doctor  about safe ways to do this, maybe using your own bodyweight (pull ups, sit ups etc.) As you gain muscle to a healthy weight, you face may start to look thinner.  You could try to loose fat, but only after your a healthy weight.

And you can have a fat face, I have a slight double chin, chubby cheeks, fat around my eyes and mouth which if you put me in the right light is really obvious and if I press my forehead I can feel the fat.

If you do it for all the time your awake it can burn about 400 calories daily, or 36 calories an hour.  36 doesn't sound like a lot, but it does add up, its about 432 in 12 hours, so yes it can be a significant amount of calories burned but it's incredibly difficult to be sure how long and to what intensity you have fidgeted.

Foods "Surprise!" What food did you think you'd hate but you actually loved? Apr 23 2008

Peanut Butter!, first time I tasted it I remember thinking 'is there actually any flavor?' but now I can't get enough! and brussel sprouts surprisingly, oh and oatmeal with water and honey instead of milk and sugar :P  And I tried this thing today where you mix a few raisins with chicken, a bit of yogurt, broccoli, peanut butter, soy sauce and a few spices and then stir fry and put it in a tortilla wrap, delicious :)

Weight Loss Stretch Marks Apr 22 2008

They're really not so bad.  I've had mine for about 3-4 years now and I used to actually cry because i hated them so bad, my age doesn't help. I'm 14 and having strechmarks as a teenager is awful.  I used to think that I would never be able to wear skimpy clothes or even vest tops because they're on my arms, boobs, hips, thighs and the back of my knees.

Losing weight will probably help, as you get smaller your skin will tighten (especially with exercise) and they should 'close up' a bit.  Water, massages and exfoliation really helps as well along side a balanced diet obviously because they make your skin look better as a whole.

Most people don't notice either, I spent a few days last year in a bikini and nobody mentioned a thing, my best friend who's almost always with me only noticed when me sister pointed them out, and she sounded really surprised.

Most women, from puberty onwards will have some somewhere, even the really thin girls so don't worry about it.  Be confident with your body and I can almost promise that nobody will notice, or if they do they won't care. Have fun at the beach!  :)

I'm in! :)  This should be perfect to start losing :), starting today I'm 163 lbs and weighing in on Monday mornings.

start:163

5'5", medium, age 14.

I've tried losing weight before, it's not like I want to be really skinny but just a 'normal' weight would be nice, I'm down from 172 and my ultimate goal is around 143lbs.  nothing too extreme :)  Biggest problem - BINGING :@
