Have you guys tried Turkey Hill No Sugar Added FF Choc and Vanilla are both 70 calories per 1/2 cup with a little bit of fiber too, not so bad for low cal ice cream, and when they are on sale they are only about $2.50 a carton.

Also in terms of making your own, this isnt ice cream per say but make some Sugar free strawberry jello add 1/2 cup of 8th continent light soy (25 calories) and free it, then top with a little bit of Whip cream and you get a creamy strawberry fruit ice for like 40 calories!

Foods Froot Loops are healthy? :| Sep 07 2009

I get both points and yup there is always going to be a better or worse option for every food.

I guess if you put a bowl of Froot loops w/ milk versus a Little Debbie snack cake and juice or a honey bun or something then yea the cereal is the way to go.
At least it gives the kiddies some protein, vitamins and minerals in the morning and gets them into the habit of eating breakfast.

Are Fruity Cheerios any healthier than Froot loops??
