Im definitely up for this-I really need some motivating! Current stats: 5'9, 160lbs. Ultimate goal weight is 140, but I'd love to hit 150 by Xmas. I've already lost 18lbs but it just gets harder and harder the more weight I lose. |

Hey everyone! Congratulations on all the losses! As for me, I gained a pound... :-( still TOM so hopefully its water retention. Either way though, I really think I need to step things up this week. I had the week off wrk and have done absolutely NOTHING, and when Im bored/have nothing to do, I tend to overeat. I am happy that I haven't gained-more than a pound anyway, but I should really be losing more if I want to hit my Xmas goal. So, this is me recommitting to losing weight! Next week I WILL be in the 150's! This weeks stats: (where is everyone?! I think if three consecutive weigh-ins are missed, I'll just remove the name? Everyone agree?)

Welcome to all the new members and hope everyones doing ok! I had a baaaaaad day yesterday, went out for dinner and had a 'gourmet burger' with chips and a salad, followed by a chocolate brownie sundae...not good! BUT, I have been plateauing for WEEKS now at 160lbs, so I've upped my calories in the last few days to try and get things moving again. Granted, a burger and sundae probably weren't the best idea, but it was delicious... ;-) EDIT: All mistakes fixed, whoops! And well done Craig, if I only gain half a pound during my bday Ill be ecstatic!! ;-) |

Wow. Can't believe its the last ever weigh in. :-( I don't know what Ill do without you guys...! So, final results! SW: 175 GW: 155 CW: 160 So, I plateaued for a third week and remain at 160, taking my pounds lost to 15! I know its only 3/4 of the way to my goal, but Im really proud of myself! I feel a lot better and healthier and now I KNOW I can do this and lose even MORE weight! Also, I think at my weight, 15lbs was probably a more realistic goal! Here's to another 15lbs by Xmas! Thanks for the responses! Im pretty sure then that it must only be temporary. Hopefully it'll have levelled out by my next weigh-in! Thankyou for the reassurance, I knew by regularly reading these forums that I probably was being paranoid, its just that when you work so hard and you see these 'fluctuations' it is so disheartening. I just needed the reassurance/explaination to ensure I wouldn't spin off in the other direction! lionpaw: I don't weigh every day, I weigh weekly, which is why I was so suprised by the change, especially as I was hoping to have lost! All I could pinpoint was the peanut butter I ate yesterday, but I guess I just shouldn't have read into it so much.

Hi, I'll join the group! Im trying to lose around 20lbs by Xmas/New Year so 10lbs would be a pretty good start. Im also 5'9 and my stats are: SW: 175 CW: 160 GW: 140 Goal for Thanksgiving: 150 I also decided I wanted to get a haircut and colour when I hit 150: good motivation! What are you doing at the moment, just calorie counting, or exercising? Both? Im currently concentrating mostly on diet as I have a pretty active waitressing job, but the closer I get to my goal weight, the harder it gets so I'll probably have to add some actual exercising soon which is a bit daunting :-S |

Morning everyone! Congratulations on your weightlosses! As for me: SW: 175 LWW: 161 CW: 160 So, lost a pound this week! I was initially disappointed that I hadn't made it into the 150's, but losing a pound is way better than plateauing or gaining and Im definitely happy with that! Also, I've now lost a total of 15lbs in the Halloween challenge with 5lbs to go. I really don't think Im going to make a 5lb loss in one week, so again, Im just going to aim for 158, which is a 2lb loss in a week and completely acceptable! I also assume next weeks weigh-in will take place on the 31st? So we have 8 days for that final push! 158, here I come! Good luck everyone! |

Hey everyone! Weighing in early this week cause Im working early tomorrow and won't have time. SW: 175 LWW: 164 CW: 161 So, I lost 3lbs! SUCH a relief, I felt so bloated and generally disgusting last week that it was nice to get back to normal and finally register a weight loss! I was hoping to hit 160 by this week, but hey, Im weighing in early and maybe I would have hit it tomorrow?! Either way, Im pretty happy with my loss and now Im going to aim to be in the 150's by next Friday! 14lbs down, 6lbs to go and 16 days left... I've come to the conclusion that I probably won't hit 155-in a healthy way anyway- by Halloween, but as long as I can be firmly in the 150's-157/8 is going to be my adjusted target, then Im ecstatic! Is everybody still up for an Xmas group? I don't think Ive ever been so consistently successful at losing weight healthily and I really think this group has helped me enormously! Good luck for the upcoming week! |

My mum makes an awesome Butternut Squash soup, its absolutely delicious and just sums up autumn for me! Its definitely hearty and healthy as you can control the salt-my mum uses minimal salt in it because it ruins the butternutty flavour in my opinion. I'll ask her for her recipe later-and get her to make me some! I also looooove parsnip soup, not entirely sure when thats in season though...?! |

Hey guys, after my disappointing week last week, I have good news! SW:175 LWW: 166 CW: 164 So I lost 2lbs! Yay! Im also over halfway to my Halloween goal-9lbs to go! Im getting a bit worried as to whether Im going to make it, as my weightloss is somewhat erratic at best, but Im going to try my hardest to get as close as possible. I guess by Halloween, even if I've only lost half, its still progress! I also now have less than 25lbs to go until my ultimate goal, so Im definitely up for an Xmas group when we've completed this challenge! Good luck everyone and keep at it! P.S: To all the people who've disappeared from the group, if you're still there, come back! We still have four weeks till Halloween!
