I'm surprised no one has mentioned the nuva ring yet.  I've been on it for 5 months now and have not had any problems with pms symptoms and best of all - no weight gain.  I had been on the pill for a year prior to the ring, and the problem was my weight would fluctuate dramatically. I would never maintain a consistent weight, and depending on the time of my cycle I could feel great or just awful.  With the nuva ring I feel very normal, and actually in control of my own body! look into it!
