dplatzer- I've read alot about high Fructose corn syrup. Eating foods with HFC in it will cause you to crave sugar throughout the day. Most candy, pop, cereal, and processed fruit drinks have HFC. Unfortunately, many icecream flavors use HFC too. The honey and fruit suggestion was right on, no HFC in the honey. I finally decided that I am not going to allow Ice Cream in my house. It is too much of a tempation and I buy the groceries--I control what gets put in the freezer! The kid and the hubby will have to go to DQ for their ice cream fix. Kim |

Hi, My shoe size is 10-11 depending upon the shoe. I have come to the conclusion that I am not supposed to were cute shoes(based upon whats available) but I keep shopping and hoping..once in awhile I catch a good find!
I have come to the conclusion that I am at a serious plateau I've been stuck at 188-186 since I started posting on this site. My plan is to increase exercise and watch my calories... I've been having a bit of ice cream after dinner. Kim |

I was down to 185 yesterday morning, so I overdid it at happy hour last night ugh! I'm going to work hard to day to stay on target, lots of fruit and fresh veggies not so much of the hotdogs and hamburgers. I hope everyone has a great weekend! |

Hello, Welcome to vik and super blackwoman! I'm glad to see someone at the same wt and with the same goals, same height too. Goo look. I know how hard it can be when you've got to fix food for a child--I end up eating the left overs a lot. My solution for falling off the wagon at social gatherings is to allow myself a little bit of leeway, then increase the exercis for a few days. If I try to stay away from all the good stuff (cake and chocolate) at a party, I usually end up binging by the end of the night, so I give myself permission to have a taste of somethings and work it off later. Hope it helps. |

Good evening. I forgot to log in this morning sw 203 cw 188 gw156 I was kend of bumming about not losing any weight this week, but then I looked at how much I have lost since I started doing this and it's not so bad. I just have to get back on track with my exercise. I'm still trying to keep everyone straight, but it sounds like evryone is staying positive and doing well! Kim |

Good Morning! I'm off to a good start today. I had paper due for a class I'm taking and spent most of last night writing it. I ahve to give myself a little pat on the baqck. I didn't snack to relieve my stress as much as I would have in the past. And I stayed with in my calorie allotment for the day. I hope everyone is having a good morning. Kim |

Good Morning! I think I've hit a road block. My scale doesn't show any weight gain, but I feel fat. I've slowly been losing but keep hoping for a huge drop. I haven't restarted my excercise routine yet, my DR. wants to see me before I start (due to pnuemonia) amariep--Olive oil is good for you. I read a study of people who ate monounsaturated fats with every meal, lost weight. they didn't make any other changes to their diet-just ate olives, olive oil, nuts, avacados, and dark chocolate and lost an averageof 12 pounds in 6 months. I think this is the basic element of the Mediterrainan diet that is supposed to be so healthy. Just stick to olive oil and decrease the pasta! kim |

Hi, I've been sick pnuemonia so my weight has not been a priorty this week. i forgot to wiegh in yesterday, but this morning I did sw 203 cw 190 (up two lbs) gw 156 I'm oky with only adding two lbs. I haven't excercised all week and I've been eating a lot of popcicles. |

Beth-- I know what you mean!I can lose 10 lbs and no one notices. My sister (5'3") loses 10 lbs and gets a whole new wardrobe. I just try to think about the positive benefits of my weight loss and shrug it off. |

Hi, I guess I can tell you a little about myself. I'm Kim. 42 years old, non-smoker for 10 years(which where the weight came from). I have a 7 year old step daughter who keeps me busy, but as a consequence I'm eating on the run a lot, or finishing up what she doesn't eat etc. My weight gain has been so gradual, I didn't really pay attention until I hit the 200 mark. Then I panicked! I went to L A weight loss and lost 30 lb, but gained it all right back. This time I'm doing it slowly and not limiting what I can eat just how much I eat--instead of a huge bowl of ice cream, I have a small bowl. thanks for all the welcoming words. I really appreciate it. |

Hi, I just found this forum, I'm not sure how the posting works. I'm 5'10" wt 191 down from my all time high of 203. I'm working on a goal of 156 by Christmas. It sounds like you all are familar with one another. I weigh every day in the morning. I try to stick to 1500 calories with 1/2 hour fast walk or bike ride every day. Any motivation or tips will be welcome. |
