i like those natures valley granola bars, they are 80 calories for one bar and 160 for two.   i eat 1 in the afternoon at work when i get hungry.

i also like the 100 calorie popcorn, thats really good too!

another thing i like to eat in the evening is a scoop of frozen yogurt, depending on what you get its right around 100 calories for a 1/2 cup, but generally i hold off on some calories during the day or walk extra and have (omg!) 1 whole cup.  lol   theres low sugar and low fat ice cream too, you just have read the nutrition facts.

now im not saying that all this stuff is really healthy, but it is fairly low calorie and it tastes good when you need a little treat.   and as far as the popcorn goes i don't eat it too often it makes me retain water.   im really touchy for some reason with salt.   but its sure a nice snack when the family is sitting down and popping in a good movie.  ;)

i did the same thing...  i had lost a total of 78 pounds and gained back 50 or so of it.    that was so stupid and lazy of me, but i did it and now i have to do it all over again.    i have lost 11 pounds so far this time, 43 pounds from where i was and am down 36 pounds from my heaviest.   so many numbers to keep track of.   so i have to lose that 43 pounds to get  back, i felt so good back then...  i was 26 pounds from my goal.

we can do this.   just get back on and start over.   it will take awhile...  but you can do it.   i am.  and in a few weeks you will start to be able to look back and see that you are making the progress again.

you are strong and since you did it once you know that you can do it again.   thats what helps me when i feel down.   it seems that this time the pounds are coming off slower, but its still about a pound a week and every two to three weeks its nothing.   but i can see the pattern and i know to expect it.

i won't wish you good luck, because you don't need luck.   you need hard work and you have it in you.    there are alot of people here for you and cheering you on, though, and thats better than luck any day.    K

I'm very glad to hear this because i was getting very worried there for a minute.   I started at a 15 minute walk and was losing weight and now i walk for an hour or so in the evening, take my kids to the pool and swim around and play and tread water and on saturdays and sundays i walk for 90 minutes and im still losing, not fast, but im losing and im happy with that.

i think that caloriecountingme is right...  and as long as you are moving your butt and not sitting on the couch you are fine...   :)   it certainly isn't falling off me fast, but ive lost a total of 11 pounds since the end of april.    i have 68 pounds to go to my goal and im down a total of 36 from my heaviest so something is working and im no workout guru.   im a normal person, with kids and a full time job.   i don't have the time or money to go to the gym and do spinning and all that.   i walk, and its working, so there you have it!  there is no gym near me anyway!   lol

i bring smart ones or lean gourmets...   i know that they aren't the greatest, but i work in an office and its the easiest thing to do.   i guess im too lazy to make a lunch and i don't have alot of time so i just grab one out of the freezer in the morning and pop it in the microwave at lunchtime.   voila!

Weight Loss has anyone loss 100 pounds starting out at 225? May 20 2008

i had lost 78 pounds, so not quite 100.   i stopped losing and lost focus and gained back 50.  real smart, i know...   i started at 254 and got down to 176 and i felt wonderful!   life was so much easier.   just simple things like bending over was easier!   i gained back up to 228, i got my focus back and am down to 222.    i started again 3 or 4 weeks ago and have lost that 6 pounds.   i have a long way to go now too, but i know that i can do it because i did before.   i have 47 (?) pounds to get back to where i was and 72 to get to my goal of 150.   i know that to some people that is still overweight for me, i'm 5'2" and 31 years old, but i don't want to be 'skinny', i want to still have something to my body and i want to be toned.   i have had 3 kids and all that so being little, tiny :) probably wouldn't happen anyway.   my goal is real and attainable.   so is yours.   and it does help to have those small goals along the way.   it helps to keep you motivated and not seem like that goal is so far off.   i would think like, 'this is what i weighed before i had my last child' 'oh this is what i weighed when i got pregnant with him' 'wow this is what i weighed when i had my first' and i was about 12 pounds from my prepregnancy weight with my first one.   and i know i looked good then.   i have pics.   :)

yes you will have some lose skin.   i didn't have alot, but it was there, and i wasn't to my goal yet.    now not to be gross, or not politically incorrect here, but my boobs turned into gross hangy blobs...   maybe not as bad as i thought they were...  but i hated it.    i had a 3D size and went to a 2D, not much of a difference there, but i lose in my chest and whatnot so it seemed like they didn't get smaller.   but they just hung there.   i did nurse all three of my kids so that takes its toll, but i wasn't worried about that, i knew that would happen and was okay with it, it was for my kids...   however when i lost that weight, yuck!   when i put my bra on i had to tuck things in and make sure that everything was on an even keel (if you catch my meaning).

i told my hubby that when i do lose the weight if its that bad again im going to get a lift done.   i don't mind my boobs looking like a 31 year old lady with three kids boobs, not like an 80 year old lady.   at least not til i am an 80 year old lady...

it is not fair to make those kinds of judgements on people based on their weight.   i am overweight and work hard to stay where i am, let alone lose or be a hundred and twenty something...  people are heavy for so many reasons.   and unactivity is probably fairly low on the list.   i am fat out of fear, i really don't want to get into it...   but i am working very hard on my eating habits, which two years ago helped me to lose almost 80 pounds.   no im not lazy and unactive.   i have three young boys that i like to play football, baseball, walk, and ride bike with.  i have to lose about 75 pounds am its very hard for me to do that.   part of me wants to be thin like i should be, and healthy (although i do not have any health problems associated with being overweight) but the other part of me is scared.   i do not want attention paid to me i want to be invisible to everyone.   i deal with severe anxiety problems every day of my life and it is very hard for me.   i know i need to join a whole other forum for all those problems.  :)   i am doing really well.   i joined this site 5 days ago and have done wonderfully.

i do have a question though...   how many calories should i be eating in a day?   approx.   im afraid of eating too much and/or too little (anxiety...).   im nervous about saying how heavy i am.    i am 31, female, and over 200 but under 250.   i work in an office and try to walk every night, lift some weights when i can in the evenings and play for awhile with the boys as a means of fun and excersise.    can anyone help me?   has anyone read the whole reply?

thank you for any help anyone may offer.   K  (i hope i did this right and didn't step on anyones toes)
