| Weight Loss | Anyone else a grouchy bastard? | May 26 2008 03:54 (UTC) |
8 |
Yeah my Grouchiness tends to be focused, sadly, on my dear husband. I am so nice to everyone else, but when the calories get tight, he feels it for the first few days before I start seeing results!!!
I am SOOOOOO ashamed about it too, I try to make it up to him when I am thinking clearly, by being nice, but it takes MANY more positive gestures to cancel out one nasty one.
I just sometimes feel like a person who is quitting smoking or something, just like on the edge, I try not to be too mean, but up to this point I have not been too successful! |

Hey ppl lets reinject the weirdness, these are getting just plain MOTIVATIONAL! LOL #37 schedule some time to just sit and decompression, so that when you are feeling burnt out you can have a definite END point to your work, and not just switch off altogether!
#38 Just eat a little of what you crave, to kill the craving |

#12 Buy small, STYLISH plates - and focus on making your food look REALLY good, like on a food magazine #13 snack on small freeze pops for sweetness and air popped popcorn for saltiness (like 50 calories) |

I feel your pain, i got myself a high falutin digital scale, and it is a pain in the neck, I just weight myself on wii fit now! I was going to the doc's to weigh in, but i found out his scale was 10 kilos LOWER than my REAL weight, I was soooo happy I had lost so much until every other scale in the world told me otherwise!!! |

Right now I am still at the point where an extra 1-2 lb of clothing isn't really that urgent, now if it were 50 lb of CLOTHES.... |

I am CURRENTLY resisting, iced pina colada cupcakes in my fridge, a whole vegan lemon cheesecake (also in my fridge) a bowl of chocolate chunks, you guessed it in the fridge, a freezer full of vegan hot wings, and I am also resisting the urge to NOT exercise!!!! |

| Weight Loss | Diet ads on TV | May 21 2008 01:41 (UTC) |

I don't watch tv, but if I have to see another banner ad with a slim waist with measuring tape around it, I am going to SCREAM!!! Also there is a billboard in australia, showing a "hefty looking" wast trying to fit into some smallish ladies jeans, the thing is, its a muscular MAN's waist, that one just confuses me, and makes me chuckle a bit... |

| Weight Loss | Diet Pills/Fat Burning Tablets....? | May 20 2008 13:50 (UTC) |

yes, I am taking reductil, it basically works by making you feel fuller after eating less, it should also be noted that it does not immediately efeect your BMR. I took it in the past for 3 months with success (years ago) and kept the weight off until pregnancy and post partum depression got the best of me, and after several months of trying to do it the "right" way, I am using it again to kick start the change. Mostly since I am not hungry, I monitor my calories to make sure I dont eat too little!!! But for the most part it has no ill effects, but if memory serves me well (and it does) if you dont drink PLENTY of water you will get VERY constipated! Won't let that happen again! hmmm, its about 90 dollars a month in Australia if that helps. I had tried a few months ago (same box i am using now, for a week, but I was too stressed so i still MANAGED to overeat, so what i am saying is that your heaRT has to be in it either way, and it is not a silver bullet, you have to be ready!!!

| Vegetarian | What do vegetarians eat? | May 20 2008 13:43 (UTC) |

I am a vegan, so that means I pretty much don't eat anything that casts a shadow...
breakfast: eggs and toast with fruit VEGETARIAN - scrambled tofu with sauteed veggies and toast, with fruit
Lunch lamb curry with basmati rice and mango chutney VEGETARIAN - chickpea curry with basmati rice and mango chutney
Din-Din Big old honking steak with potatoes and veggies Vegetarian - Big old honking stuffed portabello mushroom with a light gravy whipped potatoes and steamed seasonal vegetables
YUM YUM, it won't hurt your calorie count either!!! |

sometimes i am faitful, sometimes, I am slack, but liek an old frined the gym is always there for you taking your money!
Oh and I also find it more motivational working out with others, I love group fitness classes, but I NEVER go into the gym-gym alone, I find it a bit tedious, I prolly wouldn't use home excercise equipment too for the same reason, but I do play my wii fit religiously, I am so hooked, I have made like zero progress in metroid in a week!!!!

| Weight Loss | My Father-in-Law told my wife today "Is Udokier Okay? Is he sick? He looks so skinny." | May 01 2008 00:20 (UTC) |

OMG, I got the exact same thing before I had my baby, to everyone else in the world I was a NORMAL SIZE, slightly on the larger side, but my family and friends, could not deal with the change. I think that it is them having difficulty in shifting their perception of you definitely! while you have had weeks/months/years to gradually see the change occur, they see you infrequently and it all seems so SUDDEN!
Don't worry about what ANYONE has to say about your body/training, as long as YOU know you are healthy. My mother in law is overweight and is trying hard to get into the gym to workout, and her OTHER son told her to stop lifting weights before she gets too bulky! Its ridiculous because she is sooooo far off her goal!. People feel they have the right to comment, but they are not the ones who are struggling, and to get it right you have to hit SUCH a delicate Balance.
So I am going to do whatever it takes, within reason to get to my goal weight, and I am going to only stop when I feel comfortable in myself, and the numbers agree, so you do what you have to do and more power to you!
