Definitely go for 1500cal a day. I'm 25 5'4" & try to be between 1400 & 1650 a day.

Even if I eat 1650 a day I'll loose weight. You don't want to start on too low a calorie intake as you would be likely to binge & get dis-heartened. You don't have to eat the bare minimum to loose weight Smile which is fab!

For me, when it comes to cake I'll eat it.

If I know there will be cake I'll make a calorie allowence for it or do more exercise later or the next day to burn it off a bit & only have a smallish piece.

Also I know if I go anywhere work, friend, of family related & they've made a cake I'll have to try it as it's normally made with me in mind as I love baking them & tasting them. Everybody that knows me knows if it ends in ----cake! I'm all for it!

If I'm watching the treats & its chocolate or biscuits (cookies) I'll just say no thanks.

If they're being pushy just say "I can't eat that I'm allergic...... causes me to break out in fat" Usually shuts them up.

Love every one of those stretch marks dear, some of mine are 26 years old and I love each and every one.  They are there to remind you how connected you are to that child even after they leave home.

Hi Cara! :o) I hear ya... and I love your attitude towards your stretchmarks. It's very sweet! But I think Clairesty doesnt necessarily gave birth to a child ...

I have stretchmarks from gaining a lot of weight when I was a teenager. I have huge marks all over my hips and on the side of my belly since I was 14. And I have to admit I dont even see them anymore. They are a part of me... so what!? Anyone who gets to see them must love me! Before and afterwards even more... :o)

Sadly the stretchmarks are from my weightgain/loss not having children, but they do also remind me of my weightloss journey & that there are somethings in life I can't really do sod all about.

Love me, love my stretchmarks! Laughing

About 3 years ago I lost 70lbs & after loosing the weight I became more realistic about what my idea of a healthy body is.

I'm now 25 & I have accepted that my loose skin will not 'just ping back because I'm young' like so many people kept saying, my strech marks sure as heck ain't going nowhere & my stomach does sometimes resemble that of a gone-over halloween pumpkin, I will always have my 'wedge' above my bum, cellulite just 'is' & I can never leave the house without wearing a bra .

But y'know what...... BFD! I lost 70lbs! I have boobs, hips & a bum, who cares if they're wobbly - THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE!

"More cusion for the pushin'" as they say Laughing

I'm just happy to try to keep a balanced diet & impove my fitness & strength.

In the UK its 25 that they start doing them. It was 21 but it changed when I was 20.

I did keep asking my doctor about it, but she told me that when it's time I'll get a letter & unless I notice anything unusual or any changes it'll be 25.

Meh....to each their own. I just think they could have dressed them up better to flatter their figures, I think it downgrades their beauty.

But, who am I to say.

Good point.

Maybe they have dressed them so bad so that throughout the series when they start to loose more weight & look slimmer they'll start dressing them a bit better so they have more extreme before & after comparrison.

I met my fella through myspace. He added me because we lived in the same area, briefly emailed & commented each other over the course of a year. Then I found out hedi internet animation & a friend of mine had shown me one of his on her phone (but I hadn't known it was him at the time). We then ended up having email conversations every night for about 2 weeks then met in person.

That was about a year & a half ago, & now we're looking for a house together! Smile

I will admit when we first met in person it was very strange. I wasn't really sure if I was attracted to him & couldn't tell if he liked me or not. It was actually on our second date we seemed to click alot more.

When you do meet for the first time don't write them off straight away if you feel dissapointed, you got to account for nerves. Both yours & his.

Why would a 15 year old girl be going out with a 12/13 year old boy?? If it was a 15 year old boy getting a 12/13 year old girl thats still icky, but at 15 I had no time for little boys. & what happens when she turns 16 & he's 13/14 & they're having sex? Will SHE be charged with rape as they would if the sexs/ages were reversed?

I do it every day. Sometimes if things are really hectic or I'm away from home I don't (mostly because I can't) I just try to eat within reason & make good choices & try to get some exercise.

Also just try logging everything every day for a couple of weeks & tag it all. I tag mine in sections breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert & snacks, aswell as a general section that has stuff like low fat spread, cheese, ect. Then when logging what I'm eating the next day I just go to breakfast & pick something.

You could also try disolving rock salt in hot water, then wait for it to cool a little, soak some cotton wool in the hot/warm water & cover the infected area with the cotton wool unitl it cools, then repeat with a new piece of cotton wool.

This can help draw out any of that nasty goo. It's what most piercing places recommend to help heal piercings & any infections. Worked on my nose piercing when that got infected.

Just enjoy your time together.

If something else takes your fancy, eat it. We all need a break now & again.

Your not alone. This weekend I'm going to a chocolate making workshop. Temptation ahoy! But it will also be mixed with a lot of walking.

There you go! To help counteract that niggling guilt that comes from eating out suggest you & him go for a nice walk the next day.

Low maintenance. I'm pretty easily pleased as I expect nothing from no one. Not really into grand gestures. The best thing a guy can do for me is be on time & make me a coffee & piece of toast in the morning.

Though me & the fella have a kind of country weekend away this weekend, but thats for HIS birthday, so maybe he's high maintenance (though we've gone halfs sort of - I paid for the chocolate making course & will pay for dinner in the evening & he paid for the hotel for the night & a trip to Warwick castle). For mine he took me to fly owls at an owl sanctary = Awesome!

The best things a man can spend money on is things you can do or enjoy together.

Bet it tastes nice, though by the time you finish it you might be diabetic.

Over here at the moment there has been some report about the amount of calories in kebabs (or kebobs). Apparently there is 2000cals in one! I have never eaten one due to a story my dad told me about tests done on the meat that was found in a kebab/chip shop years ago when he was young - 5% was found to be seagull. Eww!

This sounds awful but I was only 4-5 at the time.

When I was in infant school we had a new girl join our class who had been in a fire & was very badly burnt/disfigured. After break times, when coming back in from the playground we had to line up in two's holding hands. I was just scared to hold hands with her because I thought she was still hot from the fire she was in. One day we paired up to come in & I held her hand & was relieved to find out she wasn't hot.

I also used to think that we were just skin all the way through. No organs or bones.

When I was heavier I used to go to a gym &my theory was everyone else is more concerned about how they look to be staring at me & anyways if anyone made any kind of fat coment I could just back with a "Well why do you think I'm working out in a gym then dumba*s!" Nobody ever did, & if anything they should respect & amiration for anyone larger working out as it takes a lot of courage.

At the moment I can't afford the gym so I do exercise DVD's. I have a pilates one that I enjoy doing but got a little bored of doing the same thing. My new one is that Carmen Electra 'Fit to Strip' which is mainly toning & strenthening up to be able to do a routine. I've been doing it 3 times a week for 2 weeks & feel firmer already.

Also.... Beyonce has wobbly inner thighs & she looks lovely!I think we all need a bit of wobble.

The Lounge quitting smoking. Jan 27 2009

I gave up last June after having too many reasons not to, ie - smells gross, will make me look older, horrible breath, yellowing teeth, plus it was getting harder to be able to have a cigarette & I hated the irritablness that came with not being able to have one. & the whole giving myself lung rot & such.

Patches really help me as because the craving was gone I didn't feel the need to stick to habits (like it's lunch time = have a smoke). I did find I wanted to do something with my hand in these time so I would play with the tube of lipbalm I alway keep in my pocket.

Also when you start change your toothbrush as apparently there can be traces of nicotine & other chemicals from smoking on them that won't help. That goes for lipbalm, lipstick & gloss (so I read). So treat yourself to lovely new lipbalm as also it help with the hand to mouth movement/habit.

Hope some of that helps & GOOD LUCK!!!

Hm.  I know that a lot of people can be rude, but they are probably the same people who really get harrassed by sales people.

As a college kid, when I actually dress my age and go into a store, sometimes the sales person will spot me and hang on like a LEECH for fear the young hooligan might make off with something.  SIGH.  One "need any help" is cool, I get it, but after that I start to suspect age-ism, especially if I can clearly see the salesperson watching my every move.  And I won't lie, I get a bit snappy at that point.  It just makes me want to scream "I HAVE LOADS OF DISPOSABLE INCOME, NOW BACK THE BLEEP OFF."  Even though I don't have "loads" haha.

First off, I am not calling you a thief.

But I would like to point out that staff, especially managers, are VERY wary of ANYBODY that might look even slightly suspicious. Mostly being that if anything gets stolen they will be accountable for if. For example - we had a £800 gold bracelet stolen by some guys that had been targeting our stores in the area. Our Area manager went balistic! The girl that served them got a disiplinary as did the manager in charge. Second example is from where my boyfriend works - anything that gets stolen comes out of his bonus, someone has to pay for it. Also remember that manegers o nly get a set income & don't actually get paid extra when they do more hours so they do rely on that bit extra.

Basically when a sales person is watching you in can because there waiting to see if you need help, or if your going to steal something that they're going to have take the blame for.
