 awww.. I am still here, sort of.  I don't post, but I am here still.  It is hard to take care of myself and my mom but I am determined.  It has been 8 months since she moved in and my weight started to creep back up, but around May 1 I was able to tip the scale in favor of ME!  I am working hard eating right.  I gained 18 pounds back from my lowest 166 in Oct 08 up to 184.  Today I was at 177.2, which is .2 less then what I started at on this thread back in July 08.  I am motivated by staying below my weights from last year.  Last June I weighed 183 so I am almost 7 pounds ahead of myself.lol   Whatever keeps us motivated is the trick.  I don't have time to read each day, but I like to check up here and there.  Pbear you are doing great!  I will try to read up on others later and see where everyone is that I remember, IF I have time. lol

Sir Mix-a-lot said  "36-24-36, only if she's 5 foot 3"  Funny how size only matters to men when it isn't applied to them personally!  SOB  ;)

Oh and BTW.. Fonda does have a motor in the back of her honda, she just doesn't feel the need to show it off in public.

omg I logged my food today and even though I knew I went over I didn't think it was that bad; 3500 today.  It is helpful to realize how bad I was to help me do better tomorrow.

I was at 171.4 this morning.  I am going to focus on eating less this week.  Like I said my mom is here and she is a very naughty eater.  Each day she eats something that would sabotage the best laid diet plan, usually more than once a day she does this.  Dairy Queen ice cream, donuts, chocolate, hoagies, pizza! I don't eat these items with her for the most part, but I must be eating more than necessary, so I will focus more and try my best to log and get back in control and begin to see a loss on the scale.  :)

Some of you are doing great since I was last here to pay attention.  Keep up the great work!

Does anyone every look at their naked backs in a mirror?  I noticed that all my "rolls" that used to hang by the sides are gone.  It is smooth down my sides and it is so lovely to see, for me it is anyway, lol.  It is so nice to see positive changes.  My scale isn't moving, but my body is definitely changing for the better day by day.  I wear a size 10-12 now, so that is another "non-scale victory" to be proud of :)  I started in a tight 14-16 back in May. 

I hope I remember to weigh-in tomorrow, I really want to get back here more often for the support & accountability.

OMG Cindi, glad to hear you are ok, forget the weight loss until your body heals.  Eat healthy and start out walking until you are totally healed.  Did they do it laproscopy with just the holes or did they have to cut you?  I had my left ovary and tube removed January, it was suspicous for cancer so they did the vertical belly slice ( lovey) and it took me almost 2 months to be able to do more than walking.  Best wishes for a healthy recovery!

I got in 2500 steps today.  It got dark so I had to complete my workout on the elliptical.  :)  It is nice to walk because it takes away all my thoughts of troubles and I just get lost in the walk.  :)

This week: 169 on the nose!  :\

It's ok, it is in the 160's and I can move forward from here and do better at logging my food to keep under my calorie limit for the day.  I think I am in a size 12 for the most part which is under the average for an American gal such as myself (average being 14 I believe) so it is still heading in a positive direction and for that I am very proud. 

This group really inspires me.  I get anxious when I see others losing while I am sitting on a group of numbers for a couple weeks, but at the same time it is inspiring to me.  I also like to find out about others that are struggling like me which makes me feel a connection and a renewed spirit to keep up the fight.  Thanks to everyone that post here for their support, advice, encouragement & helping hand in this healthy life style movement we go going on here!

Mini challenge;  Log my food daily again.  It is hard to get on my computer all the times that I need to to keep up, but I have logged a couple days and  I am too high in my calories to see the weight loss I want.  At this point I will be happy to still be in the 160's tomorrow & my secret wish is to be 168 or lower. Good luck with with weigh-in tomorrow!

Guess this fizzled out.. I am still walking, but I find it too hard to post about it often.  I hope everyone else is still walking or doing something to keep up a healthy lifestyle.   When my world slows down a bit I will be able to post again.  :)

    Finally! 

    7000 steps today.  I am finally able to walk in the morns again.  I prob wont reach my goal for the month I set in the beginning, but I can do my best for the rest of the month

    I can't get a walk in lately.  I am doing my elliptical, but walking is out of my reach for now.  I will make up for it once I am home more, promise.  I just wanted to pop in to say I haven't left, I am just away from home too much to walk or post.  I shall return, hopefully before it starts to snow here.     sorry I was MIA, my mom was in the hospital and I was staying with her.  I hope she is not going to have to go back in and I will be able to focus on me for a bit.  So for I only got one day of walking in;

    Thanks for all the support.  My mom has lung cancer & the fluid around her lung means it is stage 4.  They don't do surgery on stage 4, but she will have chemo.  We are hoping for the best.   :\

    I have been trying hard to eat better this week so maybe the scale will be good to me in the morning.

    Yes let's keep it going into October.   We can call it Walktoberfest..lol  It only makes sense if they have Octoberfest in your area, do they?  rof... Funny name aside, let's keep up the walking.  I did 8500 today and for tomorrow I am going to add up all my steps for the month and then try to beat that amount in October!
