Unless you can psychologically handle the crazy fluctuations in weight you really shouldn't weigh yourself more than once a week. I weigh myself 10+ times a day and it is wild at the different readings I get. |

In my several months here I have gotten the impression that liberals out weight conservatives on the forums. |

Be careful, trying to run too fast, too far, too soon will result in an injury. Take it slow. |

Just smile and nod your head and even apologize to them. Try not to burn too many bridges. It will do you more good in the long run. |

There is medication to control your anger. There is no need for you to go around with such hostilities.

I am well aware that this country is full of people that feel the way you do. People that simply do not understand the ramifications of all of these intrusions the government has in people's lives. You people own the country now. I know this. Legislate everything the majority feels is a good idea. When it bites you in the butt I will be the dude standing in the shadows giggling at you. I have no further comments on this issue. |

No one is forcing you to eat at these restauraunts. But go ahead... let the government dictate everything to every business. Eventually it will be something that the majority of the people agree with that will affect you and your life in a negative way. In the beginning our government was set up to protect us from ourselves. We seemed to have forgotten about that. |

this website is the single most valuable resource on the internet for understanding the cycle of nicotine addiction and what the body goes through when quitting. IMHO it is a must for the quitter.
Here is a link to one article in particular you may find helpful. http://www.whyquit.com/joel/Joel_01_13_gradua l_withdrawal.html edited to say to take the sapce out between the "a" and "l" in gradual for the link to work. I am not sure why that space is there and I can't remove it. |

I would not make it without tahini... Some people have suggested subbing peanut butter, but without tahini it just doesn't taste right... If you can find a Middle Eastern food store then get citric acid (sometimes called sour salt) and add around 1/4 teaspoon to any hummus recipe. You will thank me. Good luck. |

Keep in mind that you would have burned 400 or so calories anyway just by being alive. The calories this estimates does not subtract the calories you would burned doing nothing. |

Original Post by katepoo: This is bad advice. Do not eat less than 1200 calories a day. This is the least amount a female adult should eat to unsure that her organs have the necessary nutrients to sustain life. It is very dangerous to answer this way to a person that most likely is looking for a free non-guilty way out from having to eat 1,200. |

| Fitness | Resistances levels on an Elliptical Trainer - Do I burn same amount of calories if I use level 1 instead of 10? | Jun 12 2008 17:47 (UTC) |

Consider things this way. Does it take more energy to do? IF so then it requires more fuel. Fuel in a human is measured by calories. Therefore more energy = more calories. |

It is hard to beat the couch-to-5k plan, but whichever plan you chose make sure that it does not have you increasing mileage more than 3 weeks in a row. You should always increase mileage and intensity for 3 weeks and then have a "rest" week where you run shorter, less intense workouts. Good luck to you! |

I am assuming it is inarizushi which is basically a tofu skin pocket filled with sushi rice (google it). The only real yellow sushi I know of that isn't fish is Tamago (egg). |

This most likely means you ate 1,750 calories fewer than you burned the past 7 days. Stay the course, log your calories, exercise and eat a healthy 500 calorie a day deficit and by Christmas you will weigh 130. Good luck! |

Original Post by shanonna: Yeah... But to expand on what i said... (I reread it and it was confusing) Here is an example. A 400 pound man burns around 3,800 calories just sitting around all day. His goal weight is 180 pounds. If he kept a 1,000 calorie deficit he would eat 2800 calories, but his maintenance caloric intake at 180 pounds is 2,200. It would be a safe and healthy weight loss if he had a 1,600 deficit (basically eating his ideal weight of 180 pounds maintenance calories.) Most people do not fall into this catagory however... |
